Even if the line gets a little long, it moves at a decent pace and keeps you entertained. Once you're on the ride, it's pure chaos--in the best way. The darkness makes every twist and turn feel faster and more unpredictable than it actually is. You can't see what's coming, so every drop and sharp turn catches you off guard, which makes it way more thrilling than your typical roller coaster. The soundtrack and sound effects really elevate the experience too--it feels like you're blasting through space at high speed. It's not the smoothest ride ever, but that kind of adds to the intensity. Overall, Space Mountain is one of those rides you can go on over and over and it never gets old. So when we went it was "Hyper Space Mountain" during the May the fourth be with you at Disneyland. This was the coolest Space Mountain has ever been. The inside had many Star Wars movie clips, graphics, and sounds that coincided with the movements of the ride. Disney did a great job of upgrading this ride. read more

Our favorite fast ride! The lines will get pretty long up until about 9pm, but we love riding during the day since it's such a dark ride. You almost can't see anything at all, just like how it would be in space. read more

Space Mountain is located at the Tomorrowland area of Disneyland. It was the first one ever built and there is now a version at Disney World. It's an indoor roller coaster that is in complete darkness. You can't see where you're going which makes the sharp turns even more unexpected. I was basically being pulled along for the ride and had to hold on for dear life. We were in the front and I genuinely didn't know which way we were going. Out of all the rides we went on Space Mountain was my favorite. It was by far the most intense and if I wasn't awake before, I was awake leaving the ride. This was the one ride that I definitely wanted to ride again and I would've if the lines weren't so long. read more

DISNEYLAND RIDE #1: Space Mountain. Space Mountain, located inside Tomorrowland, is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland ever, and of course this was the ride we chose to go on first as soon as we entered the park. The wait time for this ride without the Lightning Lane Pass was about 45 minutes. I remember going on this ride for the first time when I was about 6-years-old, which was also my first time at Disneyland (my parents still have the photo somewhere at their house!). The dark and loud atmosphere of this ride made it scary for me as a small child, but now that I'm much older, I must ride Space Mountain every time I visit Disneyland. This ride is PhotoPass eligible, meaning that you can get a complimentary photo through the Disneyland app by entering its' ID number upon exiting. Long wait times for short rides are sometimes worth it, like this one. It's been a long time since I've rode a rollercoaster of any kind, and with Space Mountain having sharp, quick turns mostly in the dark, I always think that I'm going to hit my head, although it will never happen. We had that big adrenaline rush all over us as soon as the ride was over, but it wore off pretty quickly. Hands down, greatest ride of them all! read more

Want a white knuckle hold on to your life ride? You might experience that to a certain degree on this ride. Darkness, bright colors, sways, sudden turns you can't see what's coming ahead which adds anticipation as a rider. No one asked to go again as they actually did on Incredicoastet twice. read more

This is one of my favorite rides ever! I would love the experience to do this when the lights are on. Some riders have posted about this online and that experience seems interesting. Hyperspace Mountain requires guests must be 40" or taller to ride. This ride is great for kids, tweens, teens and adults. I cannot wait to be on this ride again. The picture opportunity on this ride is fun. I am always cheesing because of how fun this ride is. I do recommend that you check this out next time you are at Disneyland Park! read more

Lady took me to Disney for the first time. I already knew of space mountain and it definitely was a fun ride, wish it was a longer run time but overall the twists, turns, thru space in dark runs, let anticipation flow and it was a fun ride. Definitely on a weekday lines wasn't as bad plus add the speed pass and we were in and out quick. Ride multiple times if we had more time. Definitely a favorite from my first time here! read more

I'm a big guy wearing a 3X shirt and a 50-in waist and I barely fit in here... But I make it work, So have hope- I sit in the back row and almost have to fold one of my legs under my other one so the bar can close down. Really fun ride! Hands down the best ride at Disneyland in my opinion! No matter how many times I go, there's something about the thrill of riding in the dark and not being able to clearly see where you're going that makes this thrilling. I also like that a lot of the cue is indoors and air conditioned--great way to get out of the hot sun during the middle of the day. Only downside is that I'm not the only one who loves it, meaning it's usually one of the longer lines at the park to wait in. read more

Sad because this used to be one of my favorite rides. Decided to go on a random day because the rain kept the crowds away and line was short and only a 40 min wait. We hopped in and didn't think anything of it. We used to go on it more but the long queue just wasn't worth the wait anymore. I never take my glasses off any ride, the rides here are not crazy enough to fly off my face. But also don't want it getting crushed in my bag for whatever reason. So, once the ride ended, we were sitting waiting to get off and I took my glasses to wipe my eyes and the bar flung open and basically crushed my glasses. Why are those bars so aggressive? I don't understand and I can't imagine if a child leaned over and got knocked in the face. Maybe it hasn't happened, yet, or has and nothing has been done about it. Anyway, I had to walk blind the rest of the day, in the rain, and somehow made it home an hour drive, safely. Definitely won't be getting on this ride ever again, sadly, until this is fixed. $265 later for a new pair of glasses because of this trip. IG: @ammysalamii read more

It's a bit long in the tooth, the lines are long, and it tends to break down a lot, but it's one of my personal faves. :) Who doesn't want a crazy rollercoaster ride in space??!? There's a reason why the lines are long, because it's fun, and again, it's indoors so on the hot days you're in the shade of indoors and the vacuum of space. ;) 10//10 read more

4++ classic roller coaster at Disneyland. Growing up, I think this was one of my more favorite rides at Disneyland because I really enjoyed rollercoasters. The music and speed well done. I enjoyed this ride as a kid and enjoy it now as an adult. I even got to see my young nieces experience this ride for the first time. I'm a bit on the taller side at 6'0 and because the ride is dark, I'm always paranoid and worried about putting my arms up lest my arm hits something I can't see, haha. But I'm sure it's fine. I got to ride next to my 8 year old niece and was fun seeing her so happy. She was so excited and enthusiastic saying that she loved the ride after it was done. So fun getting to sort of experience this ride through the eyes of a child. We had lightning passes and the line still took a little time...but without it...man it seems like the line would be very long. read more

I used to like this ride a lot more when I was younger. It is very fast without ever doing any sudden deep drops, just only going in sharp right or left directions in a circular motion around the entire roller coaster track. The g-force can be a bit intense at times with this repetitive coaster motion. It's thrilling of course, but a little boring for a coaster as it doesn't really move in a variety of different ways or directions compared to Matterhorn or Thunder Mountain. Like I'll ride it just that it's not one of my top roller coasters at Disneyland. read more

An oldie but a goodie! Worth going on if the wait is 40 mins or less, but also great to prioritize on a lightning lane! I think it turns into hyperspace mountain during May 4th season. Pros: - line moves pretty quickly , can also do single rider line - fantastic roller coaster that is mostly in the dark, so you can't predict where its turning, even if you're a coaster enthusiast. Amazing sound track, really well done effects. - has restrooms right outside the exit when you're done riding, good time for a bathroom break - a ride that has aged very well. Pretty smooth for me in my 30s - great easy photo op near the end of the ride when you're almost done ascending, super easy to add it to your app or snap a quick photo - most of the wait is shaded or indoors with AC, especially if it's 45 mins or less - has a little pouch in front of you for small belongings if you need it Cons: None. The ride itself is good the service is not! My sister has a joint disability and can't stand in one place for long so guest services said we can have fast pass tickets scheduled for an hour after we go to the ride and tell the workers about it. Every other ride we went on let us do this but Space Mountain employees thought we were making it up to get free fast pass tickets. We even showed them our note from guest services and they still said we had to wait in line and to stop making disabilities. I am very sad that this is how my experience went. read more

This ride is still my top 10. An oldie, but a goodie! So many memories of the 80s. I remember one time coming in the 80s and standing in line with a huge group of frat boys. I remember thinking I can't wait till I get older and hang out with a bunch of frat boys and go to Disneyland with them. Turns out I would grow up later to go to Disneyland with a bunch of pro skaters close enough. Today I'm here with my three girls and we don't have any space for boys on our Disney trips! TIP: we went to space mountain around 9pm to avoid the crazy insane lines because everyone wants to see the fire works during that time. The one thing I will say is that I suffer from just a little bit of vertigo and the launch sequence before beginning, made me feel very dizzy with some Spinny lights around. I knew to shut my eyes next time and had a great ride. Overall it's a really fun roller coaster, and is definitely a better ride than the one in Disney World read more

I still remember when my mom first took me on this ride as a little boy. It was my first time riding a high-speed roller coaster and I was scared out of my mind. But after the ride was over, I loved it. I have ridden on this ride hundreds of times since then. Space Mountain opened in 1977 after the success of the Matterhorn Bobsleds and is one of the most popular rides at Disneyland. The ride is located inside the white futuristic looking building in Tomorrowland. Even through it has gone through many renovations, Space Mountain has always been one of my favorite rides at Disneyland. I love the indoor high speed thrill ride through space. The many sharp turns and small dips adds to the fun of the ride. Even though I like to put my hands up, I still get nervous that my hand may hit the track above me. In the old days before fast pass, we would wait hours in line to ride Space Mountain. The ride is changed to a Star Wars-themed ride usually around May the Fourth and is renamed Hyperspace Mountain. Admiral Ackbar's voice can be heard and a clip of John Williams' score of the Star Wars films is played while on the ride. read more

The ride is awesome! Unfortunately the cast members who control the line significantly prioritize lightning pass riders over everyone else. Worse, Disney charges a lot of money for the lightning passes above and beyond their exorbitant ticket prices. End stage capitalism at its best I guess. read more

Man, I wanted to be able to fully experience this when I was here. But there were other things at play that would deter that from happening. We attempted to use Fast Pass to reserve ourselves a spot, but several times throughout the day the ride went down. Meaning that it doesn't work if they take it down during the time you reserved your spot. We just kept eyeballing it to see if we were going to be able to make it to the ride throughout day, working around other rides we were able to secure. At times, you would see it open with not wait time, but then it would be backed up to nearly an hour. In fact, we got in line for this ride at one point. Instead of using the app we decided to get in the single rider line to see if we could get through this at a quicker pace. Since it was stating it was going at a quick pace, we were in high hopes. But, as soon as we got into the line, things slowed down to a near stop. We kept our eye on the clock as we did have a spot at another ride lined up. When the line did come to a complete stop, we decided to get out of line at that point. It was not the ideal experience. There is always a next time. read more

It's now Hyperspace Mountain and it's definitely even better than before. I'm not a Star Wars fan and it's still one of my favourite rides to go on. The queue can get pretty long so I'd recommend making this one of your first rides of the day. There are also good food options around there too so it's a good area to meet if you're in a larger group. read more

A must when at Disneyland! The wait time was about 40 minutes but it ended up being about an hour. I'm not sure if it's a new trend but the ride was closed for about 20 minutes and then up and running again. This happened to a ton of rides throughout the day. I wondered if it was a new thing when a line gets too long. Such a fun ride and my sister and I somehow ended up in the front row! read more

All my memories came flooding back of my childhood, my senior trip with friends from high school and even visiting with my mom when I was older and she came to see old co-worker friends. Now I have new requirements and it's not so easy I have epilepsy, fibromyalgia and some other things that prevent me from being in lines or around large crowds so standing in one guest services line for an extended period each day to get accommodations doesn't make sense. The app is also not very user friendly for getting a membership for exactly the same price as a 6month season pass. If you pay one price you should get the same benefits so in my opinion whether you pay in full or monthly it should be annual membership. Be very careful on everything and read in depth details because drink pass and food pass may be for a month not length of pass and you'll need to renew. I do love Knott's but more for enjoying a walk and some delicious food. I would go for memories and potentially catch a show or take a picture with Snoopy. I love the little shops and the VIP lounge for AC. I do appreciate the amount of gluten free options throughout the park it helps me not pass out.

The last time I went to Disneyland my son was younger and there was a deal for a three day park hopper ticket for $120 for an adult and then $90 for a child's ticket, since he was six years old. He still qualified. I don't even want to get into the ticket prices today and that's only for one park! Considering Disneyland is every child's dream to go I think dreams should come true for children of any age group as well as any working class, family or single parent could afford!! Disneyland does not disappoint, everything is amazing and magical, but it's incredibly expensive. The rides are all different and interesting and they do cute themes all the time especially the holidays, but the prices are outrageous! Not to mention, there's never a spec of trash anywhere in sight, there are so many Disney employees walking around constantly everything is fully stocked and organized!! But the prices are outrageous! That's the only reason why I'm giving a lower rating by overall satisfaction, post Disneyland made me realize I need to pay rent and not pay for a day pass at Disneyland!! Maybe they'll get another discount with AAA again and I can attend, or I could win the lottery and just save my money. I don't think I'll be coming back again, but it was amazing!!

Of all the bashes this was the first time we went through cause usually the line was super long all the time we went around 20 mins before closing time and the line was manageable. The lighting is cool and the sounds and the displays are interesting. Overall it's good to see at least one time in my opinion but do plan accordingly.

California adventure is my 2nd favorite California Disney park. Yes I know there's only two lol. We…read morealways park at Toy Story parking and just ride the bus to the park. It's rope drop is different than Disneys there's no centralized rope drop sometimes it starts at the center sometimes it's near the entrances to each land. This makes it hard to plan sometimes. This is the park with the better food, better shows, more alcohol, but less rides so the lighting lane rides fills up insanely fast. I highly recommend reserving your lightning lane for guardians as quickly as possible and pushing it out to later in the day or before your park hopping because the ride lines are insanely short in the early morning and lightning lane fills up so quickly for it. The Radiator springs racers are one of the longest lines in this park and rightly so. If you just do single riders it moves so much faster and I highly recommend because paying for a single use lighting lane for a specific ride is crazy to me but to each their own. ‍ For food they have amazing food festivals and a magic key terrace with some of the best Osso Bucco I've had and I'm not just saying that. I was honestly shocked at how good it was. For alcohol Pyms Testing Lab has a huge selection and Pyms Test Kitchen has the best coffee in the park in the Cookies and Cream Cold brew.

The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge.

I would have…read moregiven 5 STARS but there was a ton of construction on the property (not the biggest deal, but kind of a bummer). Details below. -parking was easy. -room check in at the kiosk was easy. -the kiosk printed our wristbands out. -I got a text with our room number about 30 min later (I would have preferred no wait, but it was the busy check in time). -we went to dinner at BJs down the road, no wait, very good 2 family dinner. Great M-F deals. -my kids did the high ropes course and liked it. We hit the arcade for about 15 minutes, they didn't really like it (but it's under construction, they were moving machines up into the lobby). -I brought chocolate croissants and muffins, we ate bfast in the room. The rooms have large mini fridges, there's a small microwave where the ice machines are on each floor, there's a good enough weird coffee machine in each room. -we loaded our regular bags into the car, checked out of our of the room at 9:40, got into the line for the pool. -got plenty of chairs together for the adults. -my advice: you do not needs chairs for each kid, especially older kids. They stop by, sit, and bounce. Most people eat at the tables, there are signs that people can only sit at tables for 30 min, we never had a problem eating at tables (it's so much easier). Don't waste a bunch of chairs on kids who never use them.... -the bar drinks at the pool were very very good. the Bloody Mary was the best one I've ever had. Yep. We had a mango pineapple rum drink that was so good, not too sweet at all. -every staff member we encountered was on point, very helpful and kind. -I charged everything using my wristband, very easy. CONS: -I've been several times. In my option, the pizza place is the only food worth getting when you are at the pool. The Bucket food place in the pool area is just not good, it's very cafeteria and expensive. -I saw about 15 people slip and fall, mostly near the life jacket stand outside the wave pool. Like full on hard falls. An employee has a floor squeegee, but it's pretty useless. Even people walking slipped. -the headboards in the renovated rooms are pretty bad and dangerous. They have posts spaced out like 5 inches that have right-edge corners, so, sharp. And the pillows are not enough and not fluffy. When you lean back, your head slams into those pillar posts. My daughter's head went right between two posts so she hit both sides of her head on the posts. I hit my head too. Who the hell thought that was a great design? After that issue, I noticed all the hard corners on everything in the room. My kids are older now, but parents or younger kids, take note.

For comparison: Castaic Splash Park 2 kids = $70 total Parent = free Adventure Lagoon (calculation based on 3 hours - though I chose this place to come for 4 hours since it was advertised as same price for all day) 2 kids admission = $70 Water park fees = $60 Parent admission = $35 Total = $165 So instead of spending the day at a beautiful lake surrounded by nature, we paid more than double to be at a small water park surrounded by warehouses. The website prominently advertises the day rate and has a big "BOOK NOW" button, but the hourly water park fees are not made clear upfront; you have to literally scroll below the pricing and "Book Now" to see them. We also lost time waiting for the other battery. However, kudos to the staff and owner because they made it right for us when we returned the bikes. Spot has good staff and a great location.
