I believe we were actually looking for someplace else. Ring's is what we found. We were drawn in by the sign outside the place: "Where the locals eat." That's usually an indication you're going to have a good experience. I will bore you totally by telling you I have celiac, but Ring's was able to accommodate me with a truly delicious gluten-free burger. Which is what necessitated multiple trips. The roll is the best I've ever had and, for a gluten-free burger, that makes all the difference. I'm writing this now because, of course, the pandemic makes it impossible to travel now, but if we could we'd surely visit Westport again. And I would no doubt resume my romance with Ring's. You can get seated but don't be surprised that a few guys wander in and sit down and sit down and their food gets out before yours does. They are locals and make reservation and the cafe already knows what they are going to order and it's ready by the time they sit down. Didn't bother us a bit and why would it. Take care of the regulars and they will take care of you. If we are ever back in Ireland and get to Westport this is the first place we will check to see if it is still in business.
