I reviewed this place when it first opened and gave it 3 stars. But since it has come under new ownership the service is spectacular. In my original review I disliked the amount of time it took my small dog to be groomed (4-5 hours with no call saying he was done), and the fact that he had been nicked on both of his visits. However, I left for a while and started bringing my dogs (now 2) after a coworker told me that ownership had changed. Now it takes about 1 - 2 hours for both of my small dogs to be groomed. It's awesome. They make sure to keep my pups together, because the one is a bit skittish, and he's taken to actually wanting to go into the shop. Great improvement. So we took our puppy there 8 weeks ago and they did a nice job. We made another appt and she grew from 34 to 38 lbs in that 8 weeks and they charged us $40 more. She had just been here 8 weeks ago so no mats or issues. We didn't pay attention until we saw the credit card statement and thought it had to be a mistake. When I called and they finally got back to me, they said "no she is much bigger (like she went from puppy doodle to puppy Great Dane) and she will be $120 going forward". What a fraud. Front the website. " Medium sized dogs (Schnoodles, Doodles, etc) start anywhere between $70-85. Large to XL dogs (Doodles, Standard Poodles, Wheatens) prices range from $100 and up. At 38lbs I guess she is now a large XL dog with a $20 surcharge? They didn't tell us when we brought her in that would be the new price, or give us the option, they just took her and hit us for the increase. Bad business. We will get her groomed every 8 weeks for the rest of her life. Do the math and it's a loss of $11310 (at today's prices) just for an extra $30 or $40. So dumb. She really isn't that much bigger than the last time and went from 4 to 6 months. Buyer beware. Get your price up front. Also the idiot at the front desk called me the day before to ask if we could change our appointment time which we did. When we didn't get a call to pick her up, we called because we thought it seemed unusually long, she laughed and told us she has been leaving messages for the wrong person. read more

I took my cat here on April 12 for grooming. About 1 week after that, I noticed a hair loss on both sides of my cat. This was not normal, as he was normally a very furry cat. We immediately took him to the vet and they took a sample for testing. After 2 weeks, we got the results and learned that it was a fungus-induced ringworm. Our vet said he probably got it from the grooming center, as he was not in contact with other animals anywhere other than grooming. I don't know how sanitized it is for dogs, but if you have a cat, DEFINITELY DO NOT CHOOSE it. Because of this, my cat has now started a 2-month medication. read more

Had a very poor experience at Market Common Grooming today. Allie the front desk person could not have been more rude or unaccommodating. I've had my small 10lb dog groomed there several times before and today always done within 2 hours MAX, but today he's now a 3-4 hour wait "medium" dog. His appointment was at noon and they didn't start him until 2+ hours later leaving him crated and without a bathroom break until 4pm when it was insisted by me that he was done and being picked up. Excuses were given about other dogs being sick delaying the techs and the "day of the week". Terrible customer service and their crap attitudes don't help. Will not go back. Would rather drive 20+ min for better service than be subject to poor service and RUDE staff. I will share this with everyone I know including local customers that I always told to go there so maybe when you start losing business you'll be "less busy" and change your business model and attitudes. read more

If I could get 500 stars to Market Common Grooming, I would. I'll explain why. I have 4-yes, 4-dogs. I have two elderly Yorkies, one of which is completely blind and almost entirely deaf; I have a 2 year old Rottweiler who had never been to a groomer before; and a Chihuahua (if you know anything about Chihuahua's then no further explanation is necessary). All were in desperate need of grooming. Needless to say, they're all special needs cases. All four babies came back to me looking, and smelling, amazing. Just as importantly, they all came back relaxed and happy, without signs of stress or trauma. Market Common is also reasonably priced. Finally, they conveniently call 20-30 minutes before the dogs are ready to be picked up, rather than waiting until they're completely done and then expecting you to just drop everything and show up on a moment's notice. We returned to Atlanta so I'm not able to use their services again, but Market Common Grooming is hands down the best groomer I've ever used! read more

We have a Poochon puppy who needed her first grooming. They did a great job, everyone was so enthusiastic and caring. The price was reasonable. Our girl looks and smells beautiful. So why a four instead of a five. The smell in the front of the shop was a strong Pooh and vomit smell. read more

We are here for the winter from Iowa. After reading all the positive reviews, we chose Market Common Grooming for our golden doodle, Bentley. Yesterday's grooming was absolutely the best Bentley has ever had. Upon drop-off, Chrissy LISTENED as I shared my concerns and she offered suggestions regarding length and style of cut. I did not want a poodle cut or for Bentley to be shaved. Bentley's nails are the best they have ever been shortened complete with dremeling to remove rough edges. One big difference is that she smells CLEAN as opposed to a heavy perfumed smell. The compliments keep rolling in with strangers wanting to pet her everywhere we go. Thank you Chrissy. I love, love, love this place! I have a german shepherd and a chihuahua. Both dogs always come back super clean, soft, de-sheded and smelling amazing! They are used to getting groomed, so they get extra excited going here. It's like they know they are getting pampered and will be receiving lots of loves. A++! I am down here staying with family and needed to bring my Cavapoo somewhere to get groomed.
