I was in the Conway area for the Thanksgiving holiday and I noticed my dogs were scratching on…read moreTuesday night. I found a couple fleas so I called some places in the morning to see if the two of them could get a groom. I knew it was the day before thanksgiving so it was a longshot, but for their comfort, I figured I'd try. Their normal groomer is on mat leave so it's been longer than usual. I made a few calls with no luck and then called Salty Dog. I told them my situation and they said they couldn't do full grooms but they could give them a flea bath, nail trim, and some light grooming around their pads etc... I called my vet to get proof of vaccinations sent over and went to drop them off asap. They said they would have them for most of the day, but would call me when they were ready to be picked up. I had some holiday errands to run so I went and did that and got them a few hours later. The check in/check out process is all outside because of covid, but it was very simple. The dogs came back clean, fluffy, and most importantly comfortable. They also had cute fall themed accessories on. A bowtie for Finley and a flower for Molly. They also gave me a discount for my first time in. They did a great job and I was so appreciative of them squeezing us in during a busy time.

When…read moreI arrived, the owner said the groomer was her daughter and she had a long day, had to get something to eat so just let her know what I wanted done with my dog and she would relay it. I said cut about 1/2 off since winter is coming so she still has fur and cutout the 3 little mats if she can't comb them out. She asked if I wanted her tail kept long and I said YES. I came back in 2 1/2 hrs later for my 5 lb dog and my poor doggie was shaved to the bone with her tail and ears chopped short. The woman insisted that she was not shaved. There was no hair left on her that you could comb or grab. I call that shaved. I will never let anyone touch her again without meeting the actual groomer (which of course, I thought I was going to meet). Needless to say, neither of us were happy. Now she's shivering and ever since this, she is not eating like she used to. She used to wolf down her food; now she starts to eat, then backs up, plops her bottom down and looks around like something is scareing her. I don't know what they did, but there's something that is now inscribed in her little head that she can't seem to forget. It's infortunate that I had a bad experience because they were highly recommended.

She spoke to us as if we had no clue about our own dogs or grooming and said the dogs would be in "more pain" if we did not do exactly what they wanted. We were already paying a premium to them and we tip well. I would not recommend this place at all. I would not trust them with my dogs.

I've been taking my pup here for over three years. I can't say I hate the job they do but I always…read moreask them NOT to trim his ears and every, single time they do. He usually gets a pretty short cut but this time I asked for more of a trimming/cleanup. I honestly don't think they touched his body. His paws were trimmed and his underbelly trimmed--a little. He smells great but I can't really tell that he was "groomed". Also I throw up in my mouth a little when I see the 45 signs at the door!

EVERY time it was that employees didn't know what I was talking about when I went to pickup food they called to tell me was in, and sometimes they couldn't even find it! Two other times when I called for the status to my order I was told they have no record of my order! So whoever I spoke with did not place my order! I discussed this one day at the store with the female owner, who assured me there'd be no troubles going forward. That didn't happen! I blame management and owners bc their employees clearly are not trained properly nor do they have a system in place! When I called to discuss my troubles a gentleman (who I believe may also be the owner) got harsh with me and then hung up!!!! I try to give my business to small, local stores but that was the final straw for me!
