I love this market - I love everything about it, the building, the stalls inside, even the smell! (though I think that's something to do with the happy memories they evoke at many a happy trips round the market with my Grandparents as a child).
In the Market hall there is a range of stalls, sadly not as many as there once was but I guess that's just a sign of the times. There is a very reputable butch - no they're 2 in fact. A fruit and veg stall, a pet shop, a ladies ahem undergarment stall as well as various clothes and gift shops, and as you would expect from a market - the prices are good!
The Vaults downstairs are in comparison a fairly new addition the the market - but offer something different, the stalls, well more like teeny shops are incredibly interesting, from antiques to second hand 'retro' clothes there's even a America style shop selling cowboy hats and boots. You can easily spend a couple of hours browsing round this little rabbits warren of delights. fantastic! read more
