Went for a 2016 rdx test drive on a weekend. No purchase made as all selections for preowned were above our target budget. Sales person was very courteous and helpful. Her sales manager was likewise very helpful and provided some options for is to consider. Didn't feel the hard sell that other Yelpers experienced. Unresolved Pricing & Service Inquiries After Appointment Booking On February 6, 2026, I booked an online service appointment for dash camera installation at 8:00 AM on February 9, 2026. That same day, I received a text message from the dealership and replied with questions regarding pricing for the OEM dash camera and installation. I was repeatedly told that my inquiry would be forwarded to the appropriate person; however, no pricing or confirmation was ever provided. Inconsistent Guidance Between Service and Parts Departments On February 7, 2026, I visited Markham Acura in person. The Service Advisor on duty directed me to the Parts Department to purchase the OEM Acura dash camera. The Parts personnel then informed me that no Acura OEM dash camera was available and advised me instead to purchase a third-party dash camera, stating that Markham Acura could install it and that doing so would not negatively impact my vehicle warranty. I returned to the Service Advisor, who verbally quoted the hourly labour rate and advised the installation would take approximately 1-2 hours. Last-Minute Refusal to Perform Installation & Conflicting Warranty Advice On the morning of February 9, 2026, I arrived for my scheduled appointment with the newly purchased dash camera. After being issued a key tag and waiting, the same Service Advisor informed me that his manager instructed that Markham Acura would not install a third-party dash camera, directly contradicting the guidance I had received two days earlier. This policy was never communicated prior to my appointment. After informing me that the installation would not be performed, the Service Advisor then advised me to "find some professional wiring person" outside the dealership to install the dash camera and reassured me that I should not worry about any impact to my vehicle warranty. Date: April 11th, 2026 "Poor support for Acura Canada CPO owners" I am writing this to warn other Acura owners and potential customers considering Markham Acura about the warranty logic at this location. I had a battery fail after only 16 months. Service Manager Omid Rezaee and Dave Khialli refused to honor the 60-month warranty labeled on the part, claiming that because the previous replacement (Nov 22, 2024 was done under warranty and I "did not pay for it." As seen in my attached invoice, the battery was reading at a catastrophic 4 Volts-a total collapse despite being less than 17 months old. This is a clear sian of either a defective product or an underlying electrical issue that the dealership refused to investigate under my CPO warranty Under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, goods must be of "merchantable quality. A premium battery failing so completely in such a short window is an objectively defective product, regardless of how it was originally paid for. When I entered the transaction with Markham Acura on June 26, 2013, I was on numerous occasions assured by your Sales Representative Ms. Jessie Luo and Sales Manager Mr. Ajay Bhushan that the dealership would BUY OUT the remaining 3 months of my lease with Honda Finance. On two occasions also by your finance manager Ms. Monica that the 3 remaining payments will be made by Markham Acura, and on the day of vehicle delivery by another finance person whom I unfortunately forgot her name. I placed complete trust and confidence in the integrity of your team. What I have discovered afterwards is that the remaining 3-months payment has, in fact, been rolled over into the new transaction in the amount of $2,004.00 ($668.00 per month) and added into the total amount to be amortized. The after discount vehicle price was $43,432.65 Plus negative equity and it now stands at $45415.17 which was the 3-month buy out supposedly by the Markham Acura. (In addition, I seem to be saddled another 1.9% on the $2,004 that I don't owe Honda). My question is, since I had relinquished the use of the 2009 TL three months earlier, why am I still be liable for the remaining three months payment. This transaction was structured on the premise that I was to be relieved of the remaining 3-month financial obligation as the vehicle was returned to Honda in July, 2013 as opposed to October, 2013 originally. I would have gladly waited for the 3 months had I known that I would be made to carry that into the new contract plus interest. Simply put, why am I paying for something I do not get to use or own? When I went to pick up the vehicle on July 8, 2013, I was asked to re-sign the same contract. I questioned why and was told that it was just a formality and everything remained the same. Again, I trusted your team and under their assurance, I re-signed it. My question to you is why was I made to sign a revised contract as I certainly did not ask to have it revised? What I had discovered when I re-examined the contract the following week (as I was not carrying my original contract with me at the delivery) was that they changed the wording under Basic Vehicle and Options - Original contract reads: 3 Remaining payments will be made by Markham Acura, initialed by Monica and myself. I have the copy of the original contract and can be made available for your perusal. New contract reads :Cover 3 remaining payments for HFS 124253072. Granted, the figures remain the same on both contracts, however, please bear in mind the deal was presented to me as the remaining 3-month payments were to be bought out by Markham Acura. The fact is, the amount was now rolled over into the new lease and to be amortized over the term of the new lease and was at no time disclosed to me as such. I don't wish to make accusation at any particular person or jump to any premature conclusion at this time but somewhere along at the chain of command, someone obviously dropped the ball. Just to show you the person that I am, during the negotiation, the dealership also made an error to my advantage, i. e. I was given 96,000 km allowance at the 80,000 km rate. I had not taken advantage of the dealership's oversight. For a lack of a better description, this is a total misrepresentation and the revision of the contractual wording is, to me, an effort to cover or eradicate the previous commitment both verbally and in writing on the part of the dealership. The transaction was consummated by me in good faith and I am disappointed to say Markham Acura had caused me to lose my trust that I placed in this dealership. This dealership violated my trust and breached every code of ethics in the OMVIC guideline and bylaws. read more

I wish a ZERO STAR really existed to provide review for this place. Andy Qiu is the sales guy I met to get a quote for 2017 model Acura. All I wanted to know is about the models that would satisfy my need, do a test drive and choose the car that best suits me. Does it sound any different than what a normal customer would ask for? Instead, Mr.Andy kept forcing me to make a business deal, BEFORE even I looked at what car I had to purchase!! Forget about the courtesy to show a test drive. This courtesy did not even exist. Andy did not offer to even know what type of car I was interested in, what my need was, what my budget is, what features the car has!!!! He himself judged that I won't be able to afford an expensive car!! When I tried to say the options that I'm interested in, Andy kept asking whether I can promise a business with him that day. Seriously?? What the heck??? Next thing is, I said I wanted to trade in my car. He showed me the car black book website and it obviously shows the minimum and maximum trade-in price. He thought, he is smart enough and showed the lowest trade-in price without scrolling down to the bottom of the screen where it also shows the highest trade-in price. I asked him to scroll down to show me the full details from the car black book website. When I said this, he closed the browser window immediately! Sounds silly aey??? He said the max he could offer for my car is $1500 which is the lowest shown by car black book. This shocked me completely. He also said all dealers will offer only the lowest price as seen in the car black book website. I walked out immediately and then he made me sit again and asked if we can make a deal. I told him clearly that I CANNOT make a deal as every dealer that I met, offered at least $7500 for my car as a trade-in value. Then he immediately said that he can offer $7500 and asked again to promise him that I will make business with him! What kind of a cheating is this? You think a buyer would invest all his hard-earned money without sense? How could you suddenly go to $7500 from $1500? This sales guy never cared the needs of his customer. All he wanted to do is to make business, make money, judge people's finance, pressurize to make a deal. For heaven's sake watch out for this situation from this sales guy!!! read more

Dishonest sales tactics. Very disappointed. I received a call from a representative who invited me to come to Markham Acura to service my 2017 TLX. Over the phone, the rep told me a $25 voucher had been sent to me to use for any servicing visit - a nice gesture of good faith (so I thought). When I received the voucher I went for an oil change (since I was in the area I decided to check them out). When it was time to pay they told me the $25 discount didn't apply because the fund needed to be "applied to my account" which could not be done because the person responsible for this was not available. The rep in the dealership repeatedly told me how funds needed to be applied to the account and at this point my account was "empty". I told them I didn't want to concern myself with the inner workings of how vouchers (discount offers) are honored. I just asked them to consider the optics of the situation - that a first-time customer was invited under a promise they could not keep. I don't care for the discount (it's only $25) but I'm disappointed at their inability to honor their offers. I did not press the issue because I was more concerned about the principal than the discount. I requested to pay my $90 oil change fee and leave. The long and the short is that I was LURED to this dealership with an false promise. I'm wary to go there with something more substantive like repairs or even the purchase of a vehicle. They told me the discount could be used on my next visit (once the "funds were applied"). Fool me once. There won't be another visit from me. read more

I made an appointment with someone for a used car a week ago and was very specific about what time I was going to arrive. When we got there, that salesperson ended up being busy so we were given someone else. This new salesperson we got instead was just plain awful. Here are just some of the "highlights": - She didn't know anything about the car. - Getting any information was like pulling teeth - Most of the time was spent in awkward silence - Seemed like she did not want to be there and didn't really want to sell the car - She went to the manager for almost every single question we had - She even got up in the middle of our discussion at one point to speak to her cousin! I sent a complaint to Markham Acura about the poor service days ago and they never even bothered responding. This place clearly does not care about their customers. I really wish I haven't had to write this review but it's my way on venting (so I could be a little biased writing with emotions). My family had been a long time owner of an Acura TL. We bought the TL from this dealership and recently ordered a TLX from the same dealership having believed that Acura is able to offer the bang for the buck and also based on the mostly experience with the current vehicle. I still believe that Acura is a good product BUT MY EXPERIENCE AT THIS DEALERSHIP has not been great... Anyway, I had ordered a vehicle on the 25th of October but they said it will not be ready till mid to late November. I said that's fine I am willing to wait for the right colour. It was silent throughout this waiting period (never had anyone been proactive at giving me any updates).. I had to contact them to follow up on multiple occasions. First time I contacted them, they said they have to check but it will be ready around mid to end of November. Second time I contacted them on November 11, they said it was built and it is being inspected and will be ready by November 30. Today (November 24), I contacted them, they said they have lost track; and have got nothing ordered... WOW... so now I have to decide what to do.... but WOW I hear they have new ownership... not sure if people are just more focused on meeting the sales targert.... p.s. Regarding their service department: recently I have had trouble try to even make appointments. I tried their online service, no reply. I left voice mail messages, and they never return my call. Went to an oil change and a transmission fluid flush, A123 service and I was expecting a $200+ and ended up paying $640. Every time I go to this dealer I get rip off with some bogus repair or a replacement. Service advisors should have given me the total cost ahead and I would have taken the car somewhere else for the half the cost. Spoke to the manager and he started bragging about their dealer certified michanics and that's why labor is high and it's the same in any high end dealership. Well I had a Lexus before and it was never like this, even the customer service and refreshments were better than this place. They were always upfront about the cost and no hidden agendas. Horrible experience, leased a demo car that was suppose to be in perfect condition. Requested a test drive and told that it was in the show room so we couldn't. But promised it was perfect. Picked up the car and the steering wheel was off felt like something was wrong with it and it was dirty. The detailing in the car was horrible. Called to complain and was told they must have been in a hurry. Good answer, tried to get out of the lease and after weeks and a lot of $$ was finally able to break it but it was terrible. Purchased a '17 ILX few months back; considering COVID, sale went well, delivery on time, very pleased with car ! Figured may as well give them the business and booked a 1:00 appointment; arrived about 10 mins early and enquired how long it might take. Was told 1 and half to 2 hours. For an OIL CHANGE ? Well we're fairly busy in the shop. Well is this not why I would make an appointment ??? Hour and a half later, my $124.18 Oil Change was complete...(just what kind of oil costs that, I have NO clue) Complimentary Car Wash is clearly marked on the invoice; this was not done. Filled in their e-mailed survey and received a call from Heidi, was offered 2 FREE car washes...WOW...but wait, I think they already ripped me off for ONE; so that equals ONE free car wash....NOW THE KICKER...Invoice says 'MULTI POINT INSPECTION COMPLETED'...For lack of anything else to do, decided to look under the hood. Half INCH of Corrosion on the POS Battery Post. What on earth kind of Inspection was done for this to be missed ? Called Heidi (also sent her a pic). She did get back to me and asked if I had heard from (don't recall the name) replied NO I hadn't. Oh you will. NEVER HAVE...some 2 weeks ago. HONDA / ACURA IS THE NEW GMC...THEY GOT YOUR MONEY AND DON'T CARE. I received a recall notice from Acura regarding a paint issue on the front hood of our Acura SCX. Affected models are 2006-07. I took the car in on a Monday for a new paint application. Thursday evening, I still don't have my car back. I worked at the Honda plant in Alliston, Ontario for over ten years. Clearly this dealership does not take their pre owned certification very seriously as there were a number of basic items that were not caught in their supposed inspection of the vehicle. I took some of the items such as machining the brake rotors back to the dealer, but ended up going to another Acura dealer to address the balance (which were part of a service bulletin). Markham Acura didn't even bother to check for any outstanding service bulletins. Wouldn't recommend purchasing or servicing a vehicle at this dealership. read more

DON'T BELIEVE IN THE DISHONEST SALESPERSON, ANDREW CHAN and the DESPICABLE Acura dealership, "MARKHAM ACURA," Located at 5201, Highway 7, Markham, ON L3R1N3, CANADA ! My buddy returned his 2014 TL to "Markham Acura" and he was being charged by Acura financial for over $800 even if there is a lease guard (Walkaway insurance) on the leased vehicle. When the vehicle was returned 9 days earlier than the lease maturity date, I witnessed my buddy inquired about whether should he remove the trailer hitch before returning the vehicle! The DISHONEST SALESPERSON, ANDREW CHAN, confidently replied that he looked at the inspection report personally, and he confirmed that the lease guard would cover the cost or he would personally take care of the charges! However, a week after the vehicle lease turn in, an Acura Financial invoice was received by my buddy with a outstanding balance of over $800 as excessive wear and tear charges! As a result of that, we follow up with Andrew Chan and we've been advised that it would be addressed properly by his business manager to Acura, and no need to worry about the charges. During the 2 weeks waiting process, he never returned any emails or phone calls until the vehicle with the VALUE ADDED trailer hitch and harness wiring was sold by the DESPICABLE dealership, MARKHAM ACURA! Since the vehicle is sold by the dealership, none of the remedial actions could be undertaking by my buddy except disputing the OUTRAGEOUS CHARGES!!! ANDREW CHAN DISHONESTLY proclaimed that he will subsidize $200 of the cost based upon "gross negligence" by calling me to discuss the settlement amount. Since I'm not the lessee who has legal contract with Acura Financial Canada, I am merely a WITNESS of the "lease turn in process," thus, he was directed to discuss with with the lessee immediately if there is any legality concerns! As an experience salesperson and a business representative/agent of MARKHAM ACURA, he should understand the basic business law and there is no way that he can deny his wrongful/MISLEADING advices that were provided to customers due to his ignorance. By providing wrongful information caused financial hardship to any GOOD FAITH CUSTOMERS is definitely not acceptable and should be barred from business practices! HIS ACTS are NOT ACCEPTABLE and I won't be hesitated to broadcast to the world! If Acura financial refuses to waive the charges or Markham acura refuse to subsidize the charges, litigation will be alleged against the dealership and Acura financial!
