Ten years ago my mother was referred to David Weaver by a friend of hers. She hired them to do a few things: 1) Replace two front doors 2) Remove paint front front and back porches as well as all wooden siding and repaint 3) Repair both porches' soffits and gutters and install new support beam at front porch 4) Replace bathtub & skirting, fur walls and patch drywall & paint. The total amounted to roughly $2200 in total, which my mother stated she paid. The work David did was absolutely embarrassing. Most of the work they agreed to do wasn't completed, but what was, was done poorly and incorrectly. The porches were never fixed, no soffits were repaired, no gutters installed, nothing ever got painted, and just days after they 'finished' replacing the tub, mom stepped into it only to have it crack beneath her feet. Ultimately this caused additional damage to her floors & crawl space She lives alone and $2200 is a lot of money for her; so I'm sure the thought that she would have to fork out more money to get it fixed, as well as the embarrassment of what happened, kept her from telling any of us (her kids) until a few years ago. By then she had lost the paperwork and contact information and had no way of getting it resolved. Since then I have paid thousands to have the siding replaced; mom has done a lot of the work they promised to do to her porch on her own, and I'm currently getting quotes from other local contractors to replace the tub and fix a support beam in the crawl space that was damaged by the leak from the tub. I'm not sure what kind of company they are today; I HOPE a better one; but if they are anything like who they were when this work was completed you may find yourself in a very unhappy situation.
