Well, I've got a lot to say, but to quickly summarize for those that dont want to read the whole thing: The buying process was pleasant and straightforward. There were no games, and we felt all the team members that we worked with were very genuine (Seth, Hal, Jim, Josh, and Leslie). In particular, we felt Hal went above and beyond for us. We highly recommend coming here. Post buying the vehicle, there were some complications, and the entire team did everything they could to make us comfortable and correct the situation as fast as possible (which they have done) Best experience we have had at a dealership ever. Detailed Version: We came in to buy a Dodge Durango from them, and were immedietly helped by Seth. After our test drive we knew we wanted it. We had a 2018 Civic to trade in, and they gave us an incredible trade in value. After working out the numbers with Seth and Jim for a little bit, we decided that we wanted to think about it over some dinner. Naturally, then did do everything they could to try and get us to stay (even offering to pay for our dinner ha). But we left off that Seth would call us 30 mins after they closed, which he did. We were able to come to an agreement, and Seth waited an additional hour at the dealership for us to get there and complete the deal. Upon arriving, Hal and Seth helped us with the closing docs and there were no games whatsoever. Hal even told us that they had gotten the monthly price down even more to accommodate our goal. Upon taking the car home, we thought to test out the 4wd feature briefly, and upon trying to switch back to AWD there was a large failure, causing us to not be able to go past 40 miles an hour and stuck in 4wd. I immedietly contacted Seth to inform him that we would be bringing the vehicle back first thing Monday morning, which we did. Having brought the car back to them, they took it into their shop, identified the problem, and informed us that not only would they be taking care of it, but they gave us back the car we traded in as a loaner car until the issue is resolved. Hal was with us pretty much all day making sure that we were kept up to date, and even at one point offered to drive us to our house himself. He went above and beyond to assist us. Also, Leslie, the person at the desk of the service department was extremely friendly and came in several times to explain everything that was going on. All in all, Markosian auto took a situation that could have been extremely messy and turned it into an opportunity to prove that they know how to take care of a customer. I highly recommend coming in here to buy a vehicle, and the next time we are in a market for one, we will be going to them first. I do however have some feedback for management. Upon reaching out to Markosian via facebook, we were told to "ask for Josh" when we got there. We did so, then were immediately informed that Josh is actually the Store manager and that we would be working with Seth. I just didnt like being told to ask for someone, then immediately being redirected elsewhere. I know there is no perfect way of doing things, but I feel it would be worthwhile to put some thought into figuring out a better system in order to provide a better customer service experience straight from the get go. This is the same is my car I've had 7 months has spent 2 months in the shop and same issue happened this last Thursday and the mechanic said they have just put a bandaid on this car. RUN!! I am a returning customer to Marco and auto in 2015. I purchased a vehicle from them before. in 2023 I decided to go back to them for another vehicle. They leased me a 2019 Dodge Journey. I was told the vehicle would be clean, but when I picked it up, it smelt like a casino and had not been cleaned a couple months after getting the vehicle I had to replace the tire rod and the car started going through tires at this point I have replaced about 20 tires on this car . In November, there were Signs that the transmission was going bad. We made an appointment at Taylorsville service where we were yelled at and argued with about the transmission. Carlos admitted to us on the phone that they had no proof. The transmission was serviced before we picked up the vehicle because they don't take notes on things that don't need to be fixed. He argued with me for hours and eventually came to the conclusion that tire rod needed to be replaced and that they would service the transmission and Replace a Gasket. We paid over $600 to have this done after Thanksgiving. We took it to Taylorsville location and tried to turn in the vehicle where Brett the manager told us that everyone in Ogden had been fired and replaced because they were leasing bad cars Brett got on the phone with APG financial and told me that if we brought the car back in March APG financial would eat the interest rate and we would be able to get into a. February comes around and our issues have progressively got worse with the vehicle to the point that it was stalling mid drive and shutting off. We called APG financial and discussed our experience with them to confirm Brett's story. They told us we needed to take the car to service to have it evaluated for a replacement. We took the car to Ogden service where we were told of course that the transmission was bad on top of that the wheel bearing we replaced in June also needed to be replaced. There was a whole list of other issues. This being said we have kept up on our payments and had the oil changes done regularly. After speaking with Ogden, we attempted to have the car replaced so we could finish out our Lease. Now we are being told that is not an option. And was never an option. We are being passed around from representative to representative With no help whatsoever. We have tried to buy out our lease with the threat of damaged to our credit. I would not recommend Markosian Auto to anyone as their values are not Used to be. We held up our end of the contract and markosian Auto has not. This is all around bad business. read more

am a three time customer with Markosian... Their bank, APG is the most corrupt financial institution I've ever been enrolled in. I'm the victim of domestic violence, I've talked to everyone who would listen to me and no one seems to understand the severity of my situation. I've moved across the country, the 2014 Dodge Charger I've had for a year hasn't driven since OCTOBER 2023. Partly due to damages caused by my ex that I have paid for out of pocket. Markosian's own Ogden mechanic found a tracking device on my car AND DESTROYED IT before I could even get to ask for a serial number and ruined my domestic violence case December 2023. My ex stole my license plates FROM. MARKOSIAN'S. OGEN. LOT. I cannot take this car with me to where I've relocated. Not only is it an unfair and painful reminder of my situation, it doesn't drive. I paid 1,700$ for damage out of my pocket from October to December. It still ate through three 200$ batteries from December to January. They want more than the car is worth in order for me not to take a 300 point hit to my credit. I won't be able to afford a new home or survive. I'm fucked because I'm trying to start a new life and cannot end this lease without getting so deeply cut on my credit. I'm being held hostage for 11K on a car that's worth 7K, that I've given more than enough of my time and money to. I repaired the damage done by my ex and the damn thing still doesn't drive. Bought a Jeep Cherokee from Markosian Auto. Had it for a few months. I bought a Jeep for a job traveling to inspecting heavy equipment when the four-wheel-drive system went out I couldn't do my job and lost it because they could not fix the vehicle in a timely manner. When I brought it to them for warranty work they drove it into a pole. I waited for over a month and still didn't have the vehicle back. I went through 4 different loner vehicles. Two of them broke down. All the loner vehicles were really dirty and most of the components didn't work. So after I told them I didn't want the vehicle back the threaded me quite a bit by saying they will report it to the credit bureau as a repo. In the repair department lobby they have a bunch of these cards with how they will legally come after you if you do not want the car back and refuse to pay anymore. It sure seems like they deal with a lot of unhappy customers. Why would you have those cards in the repair lobby? Must be a frequent thing. So essentially they sell shit vehicles and trap you. I will say the people in the repair department we friendly and willing to try to help. Which I am grateful for. APG financial which is part of Markosian Auto does not have a physical location. I'm assuming so you can't actually go and deal with them face to face. If they would just be willing to take the vehicle back and not ruin my credit I'd be willing to delete this review. read more

Very poor. My wife bought a car from here 3 weeks ago. I found a handful of issues after the purchase. Brakes at 3mm, tpms sensor not working, out of alignment, leaking shocks, missing battery tie down and a few other poor repairs such as a heater core line not correctly repaired and missing hardware on the undercarriage and several trouble codes on my Autel scan tool. We only brought up the safety concerns and was given the option to return the vehicle or have the safety issues fixed. We chose to have the safety issues fixed. When my wife took the car back they replaced the brakes and they said they replaced the rotors, and they said they fixed the alignment and battery tie down. They did not replace the leaking shocks as the service department said they did not get a order to do so. I had not verified repairs (I've worked in automotive for 23 years) today my wife could not start the car. Upon looking into it I found they replaced the battery tie down with the incorrect one and put a piece of fuel line between the tie down and the battery to keep the battery in place.(picture attached) How ridiculous. Its a $10 part. The shocks were suppose to be replaced and the person behind the counter told my wife 2 weeks ago they had to order the parts. They are not a special order part and are available the same day ( I checked) they are just stalling her. Now today her car will not start, it is not a charging issue so its either the non oem key fob not working or a starter. However there is not even a click sound. I drove down and spoke to the "manager" and he is supposed to contact me Monday for a resolution. He did say they did not replace TPMS sensors. That is a Safety issue and still need to be repaired and anyone of my shops can replace this sensor on thier dime since clearly they are not equiped to handle tire/wheel issues without an outside vendor. I will update this review based on the timeliness response, what repairs they do and ETHICAL workmanship, if any performed. Do NOT buy a car here at this time moreso if you are a female by yourself. read more

If I was able to give a negative star review I would. Instead I will just give Markosian Auto one star. 1. Their advertising makes it seem like you are getting such a deal i.e. $100.00 per week or Have a job? Get approved! Markosian Auto and their in house financing APG prey on people who are in dire straights to get into a vehicle. Sure, $250 every two weeks seems reasonable but it's actually not. A $500 car payment for a very used 2016 Jeep Patriot is rediculous. What would a newer vehicle payment be at this place? Again, taking advantage of people is their game. The down payment that I had to put down was a rediculous amount as well. 2. The 2016 Jeep Patriot starting having some driving issues within the first month of the lease. The brakes should have been checked before that vehicle was put on the lot and at the very least pads should have been replaced. The tires should have been replaced with gently used ones. It started sputtering and chugging and it only got worse when trying to accelerate. They make you pay for a warranty, which is ok because it's an older vehicle but when you are paying over $500 for a vehicle, who can afford to pay the deductible to get the vehicle fixed? And new tires and brakes are not covered under their warranty. Either; A. The mechanics did not do their job and did not go over the vehicle and fix the issues the vehicle had or B. The mechanics went over the vehicle, did minor adjustments so the car could be driven off of the lot thereby making the new lease/owner responsible for the repairs. I love how all their sales people say "I know nothing about cars...I'm not a mechanic"...ok...but your mechanics should make sure that the vehicle is in good running order and not a safety hazard. 3. I had to lease this vehicle due to my situation. What the sales people don't tell you is that leasing a vehicles costs more for insurance than purchasing a vehicle. The insurance company was the one who told me that because I wondered why the rate was so high...because the vehicle was leased. 4. I had to go back into the sales department 3 weeks after leasing the vehicle because I never received an email copy of the contract. It took 2 different people and 20 minutes to locate the contract in the computer. 5. The complete ineptness of everyone I came in contact at Markosian Motors was rediculous. I don't know what has happened to common sense. I don't know anything about vehicles. When I come into a dealership I expect that there's been at least some sort of work done on the vehicle to make it safe. I'm not a mechanic and I shouldn't have to be to purchase a vehicle. But at Markosian Auto, you better be a mechanic so you know what you are getting into with their piece of crap cars. 6. Run, don't walk, away from Markosian Auto. This has been the worst experience of my life. I have purchased many vehicles in my life. This one by far, proved to be the worst, both the process and the vehicle itself. 7. Not all car companies are the same. Run, don't walk, to Fiuza Motors in Midvale. Great used vehicles, reasonable down payments, in house financing that won't rip you off and great customer service. If I could give no stars I would! I had a great experience 3 years ago when I bought my 2016 Ford Explorer from Markosian. I never had one service call,just normal wear and tear. Towards the end of my lease I received a flyer in the mail about my lease ending and or trade in. So I decided to make an appointment and look at options. I traded for a Dodge Charger. Upon driving for week and half,the engine light comes on. I contacted my salesman at the Taylorsville office and he urged me to contact the service department. I then left a message and 3 days went by no one contacted me back. I let my salesman know that nobody had contacted me yet about the engine light. He then walked directly to service and had them to call me. The service guy Carlos, told me he could get it in 5 days from then. I took it in and they later called me by end of day to tell me it was something cracked (thermostat) and they replaced it. Approximately 3 days later the engine light comes on again. I called the service department. This was on a Wednesday and they couldn't get it in til the following Tuesday Aug 13 I let them know my situation and that I shouldn't be having these problems so soon into my purchase. They agreed and looked at it. On Aug 14th in the evening(I CALLED) the service guy tells me it's the Catalytic Converter and N.O sensor and I'll have to pay 700 dollars because it's not covered under the service agreement.. At this point I'm frustrated and mad so I asked to talk with a manager and she expresses her concerns and she'll look into fixing this situation,by talking to her manager. She told me she would get back to me by 9am next day. No one called, so I went in and she proceeded to tell me it was gonna be 2400 dollars for the part! And the reason for her not calling was that she was trying to figure something out?! This is the worst car buying experience ever and it's still going! I'm open to options, and I've been very patient! I use to send people to Markosian but not ever again! I've had this car a month and half,still haven't missed payments! Was a good company until now. They Repoed my car after I paid my late payments and was caught up. Had to pay extra 250 to get it back. Somehow during the repo they broke the key slot protector off, bottom front lip off, stole some tools out my trunk and said they can't do anything about it cause it wasn't their fault. Aha they have a extra key so I don't see why they needed to break the key protector off and dude obviously didn't care about driving good looks like he hit a dip or something to take the small lip off. I leased my pickup truck from them then decided to buy it. They said they would repo to all 3 credit bureaus about my payment. But they haven't reported since June. I just paid off the truck after 4 years. However I have told them I don't wish to be contacted again about trading my truck they've continued to text & call. Initially they covered oil changes but they dropped them. Markosian Auto should ONLY be a last resort for someone looking for a vehicle. Avoid them if you can. They'll want a high down payment & high monthly payment. My monthly payments were $780. read more

This review is long overdue. My wife and I were shopping for a car about a year ago before our move to Texas. I had received an approval notice for a 2009 compact SUV at Markosian Taylorsville. We drive there to take a look. Met with Drew and some financial agent, don't remember his name now. Yada yada yada, we never got to see the car I was approved for, I was told I was not actually approved by Capital One (despite my approval voucher), and we were upsold a 2015 compact SUV with a $10,000 higher price tag. Fine, whatever. It's a great car. We love it. The sales experience was not bad! Much better than I've previously had despite the used car bait and switch these dealerships play. After purchase though, things took a turn for the worse. The fuel door on the SUV had a broken latch, we were promised in the contract this would be fixed. We got the run around about it for a month before leaving. It is still broken to this very day 11 months later. We had discussed with Drew that everything needed to be finalized before a month and a half because we were leaving the state and not returning. That meant license plates. He said it would be no problem. A month rolled by, after several messages left for Drew none of which were ever returned, I just spoke to the receptionist who very coldly and rudely told me they didn't HAVE TO provide me license plates for 90 days. True, but when I've registered a car with DMV, it takes mere days to get the plates. Bare minimum effort is not what I expect for $26K. Two more months go by, we are in Texas. I call the DMV and they inform me if I don't have the plates within a week, I can file a complaint with the state. I call Markosian again and let them know. They tell me the plates came in just yesterday.... Mhm, riiiight. Since I'm 1,400 miles away, I authorized my dad to pick them up for me. He signed for them back a few pages in their paperwork and mailed them to me overnight so they arrived the day before my temp registration expired. One more small thing, the day we bought the SUV, Drew had said if we left a review for Markosian on Google, he would fill up the tank with gas. When we drove off the lot and after my wife left a positive review, it was at a half tank. Not very nice. read more

Bullied into purchasing a vehicle that had a check engine light on. They agreed to make repairs according to the check engine light. Got away with only fixing one catalytic converter. Since then, have had over $6000 in repairs. Estimated value at time of lease in April 2022, $17000 for a 2011 Dodge Durango. Service dept ignores my phone calls. APG Financial has worked with me in trying to keep up with payments which are $245 every two weeks. Have gotten impounded 3 times due to late payments. I can't keep up with payments on top of repair bills which are a constant. I am a single, working mom of three and can barely make ends meet. They knew that at the time of purchase. I went to return the vehicle within the time frame of return. They gave me some BS about having to pay a restocking fee - essentially just parking it back on the lot - and made me keep the vehicle. I have had just over a year and have had to pay all the excess in repairs. DO NOT purchase if you are a female buying alone. In October, we were on hard times and lost our only mode of transportation. We had to reach out to relatives and Jennifer's widowed mother sold her wedding ring to give us a $3,000 down payment on a car. We spent quite a bit of time at the dealership and left with a Kia Soul. Not even a month into driving this vehicle, a code appeared that sent the vehicle into limp mode. We had purchased the maintenance plan. The mechanic at Markosian simply cleared the code, rather than addressing the issue. The code appeared again shortly. I was then sent to a Kia dealership (during a snowstorm, in limp mode) who proceeded to tell me they could not get the car in for six months. The Markosian Auto mechanic sent me straight there saying, "We send cars there all the time." Yet, upon arrival, I was told they hadn't been contacted. The salesman at Markosian was less than amicable (borderline rude) when we requested a replacement vehicle. No concession was made for our trouble. In fact, we had to sign an entirely new agreement of which the down payment was not included from the previous vehicle (Kia Soul), which had issues due to their negligence. The next vehicle we test drove was so filthy (a Nissan Rogue), it looked like it had been lived in by family of six. unbeknownst to us, the vehicle we finally decided on had a part hanging off of it and one head light out. The second headlight followed shortly. Within two months, the driver's side door handle also broke. In addition, it has a weird skipping issue with one or more of the wheels on the driver's side. With the poor quality of the maintenance from Markosian we experienced, I attempted to replace the headlight myself. The access was extremely difficult, so I am left to take the vehicle to the manufacturer's mechanic when I have the ability. Two lease-to-own agreements later and being robbed of the downpayment (from a mechanical error that should have been fixed before the vehicle was placed on the lot). Every vehicle in succession had issues that should have also been fixed. Now, we are stuck in a three-year contract for a vehicle I will have to take to the manufacturer to get repaired. Avoid getting swindled and just find something on KSL. The issues with the vehicle will likely be less problematic, and you'll avoid the three-year lease. read more

They jerk you around. Sold a car with a zip tied bumper, it fell half way off in ther middle of the road 2 days after buying it.... their solution??? We don't want you as a customer bring it back. So they also said they inspect every vehicle 3x before it's sold, but didn't catch this...hmmmm. So basically they'll sell an unsafe vehicle, then if you complain break the contract and demand you return the vehicle immediately, leaving you without a car. Amber is the most rude person, Carrie in Ogden is a liar, said she'll call back, never did, a manager never called, and the salesman Fred is a rude scam artist!!! I would give this place zero stars if I could. Came here looking at a specific car and was initially treated very well despite not being able to meet at a reasonable spot on price. Was on the way out but respectfully allowed their supervisor to continue the conversation. During this final discussion and once he understood that we really couldn't afford the prices they were asking for, the sales supervisor was rude and so disrespectful telling us that we will never find what we were asking for (we did the following day at a better dealership). So disappointed with the leadership here. read more

They have cars that seem to have the reputation of having some issue after leaving the lot. And don't take it from them, but take it from me my friend has issues with his breaks even after getting them fixed by the repair shop. And not only that now it's having issues starting up? He just got it two weeks ago? With a 430$ monthly car payment ? I thought they were reliable cars? No wonder they work with any credit they sell cars that will have issues down the road. What a garbage group of people! My best friend was murdered, and with a lack of any compassion, they repoed her car within days and threw away all its contents. Her family has been in contact with them all weekend asking them to at least retrieve her backpack from their dumpster, and today they told her there's nothing they can do, even though the dumpster isn't emptied until tomorrow. They claim they didn't know, how could you not know, her story was breaking news throughout SLC. You people made a horrible mistake, and have the ability to fix it and you refuse. The lack of compassion and human decency is APPALLING. read more
