Tire oddly resting on the ground, few days after I bought it.

Got rear ended and the other car totaled my car. That was The first week of November, I was told to check out Enterprise car sales here in Utah from the Enterprise driver that picked me up from my house so I could get into a rental car. Enterprise rental customer service is amazing, Enterprise car sales customer services was not so much. The salesman was actually great, not pushy and helpful. I was lucky to get him, my interaction with the others was not pleasant. When I bought my car (cash), a week after my accident, I waited in the parking lot to receive my car and the employee driving my car, unaware that I was watching, ran over the dip and scraped the bottom front of my car. I said something and then one of the sales man looked down and said that it was just the plastic thing and not the actual body of my car. I had a prior engagement and had to leave quickly. I did go back a few days later and talked to the person in charge of that Enterprise location and he gave me a 30 dollar gas card..... I just had bought a 2017 Elentra SE and I got a 30 dollar gas for a their employee driving my car way too fast over a dip and scraping my car...could of that be why the alignment was messed up!?!?! A few weeks into buying the car I could hear something as if something was loose but put it in the back of my mind as it was probably something I had put in my car bumping against something.... later to found out that it was the passenger car seat, behind the driver seat not locking into the clip of the frame. I emailed the salesman 13 days ago and he never replied which was surprising as he was/is really great. So I contacted the location by phone and I was told to check with Hyundai and if it covers the cost but that pretty much they couldn't do anything even after I asked if Enterprise does a thorough check of their vehicle which he said they did. Today I brought my car to Hyundai and my two front tires failed the alignment. Hyundai is checking the passenger seat and seeing if it will be covered by the warranty. In the meantime I text the salesman and then call him when the location opens. He listens to me and puts me on the phone with the person in charge (same person who gave me a 30 dollar gas card so I pretty much wouldn't talk bad about Enterprise after their employee scraping my car) and he listens and I definitely got upset as he goes ahead and tells me that he might or might not be able to take care of the seat as he will have to wait to see what Hyundai says and depending on WHEN the break happened......He also says that for the alignment there is no way on knowing why it is misaligned as I had the car for a month or two. I will admit I am stupid for not having brought the car in to them sooner as I did notice something wrong with the tires and how they sat on the ground, I even took a picture and talked to other people that were in the parking lot at the time with me. Unfortunately with having to take care of my physical and mental need, dealing with insurances, physical therapy, school, and 3 jobs after the accident I pushed it in the back of my head. What I really didn't appreciate, and I guess makes me a hypocrite cause I did call Enterprise "crooks" and of course everything went down on that one person on the phone, is that he was insinuating that I could be dishonest. Now I am not stupid, I know that businesses can't start taking everyone's word for it but does that mean I should take Enterprise's word for saying that this car had been thoroughly inspected before I bought it? Should I have not trusted to make good business with a company that claims to have good customer service and that help their client find their car? I probably shouldn't have that first day I saw their employee drive my car over that dip..... this will probably fall on deaf ears but I will never make business with enterprise ever again and will never encourage someone to make business with Enterprise. It would be nice to have a company, especially a car company that would take some responsibility and admit that maybe these things were not caught before the sell of the car and to make the customer feel like they have a voice. I did not break the back passenger seat, I did not drive over a pothole or bumped into something to make that alignment fail as the person on the phone insinuated. The only mistake I made is not open my big mouth sooner or not asking for my money back when that employee damaged my car after I had just paid for it. This writing is really therapeutic..... UPDATE: Enterprise covered the 183 dollars to repair my back seat. Thank you! Justin from Enterprise talked to me and is covering the cost for the alignment, thank you so much! Thank you for listening and having great customer service skills!

After the paperwork was signed, I found two splintering chips. Rony's response on the spot was, "there's nothing we can do about that." A second BMW dealership disagreed, confirming the damage is severe enough to require a full windshield replacement, likely $1,000-$2,500+ once camera and sensor calibration is factored in, and that it's unlikely the car will pass Pennsylvania state inspection as is. In the weeks since, the splinters have continued to spread from ordinary driving, worsening with time. When I initially called to get this resolved, I was routed back to Rony. He now claimed the damage was minor, a stark reversal from telling me before I flew out that there was none at all. On June 18, I emailed Kirk Nuno, the GM, and laid out exactly what had happened. He didn't respond. The inquiry was passed instead to Shane Romano, the sales manager, who replied the next day. In writing, Shane told me the dealership holds itself "to higher standards" on out-of-state deals and said he was "happy to work something out" once I sent photos. I sent them that same day. He went silent the moment he had them. Getting any further response took two rounds of escalation to BMW corporate, repeated texts to the person at BMW Murray who was working on my vehicle registration, and a public review; the first corporate contact alone did nothing. Four weeks to the day after I sent those photos, Kirk Nuno finally called. It wasn't the dealership choosing to make this right, it was the dealership responding to pressure it could no longer ignore. What he said on that call directly contradicted what his own sales manager had put in writing weeks earlier: "We've heard your review, we've heard your messages to BMW corporate, and the decision we've come to as a management team is that we are not going to help you with your windshield." He pointed out that the car was used, seeming to suggest this was damage I should have expected from a vehicle they sold. When I asked whether he thought this was an acceptable way to treat a customer, he didn't answer. Instead, he said, "we can continue to keep talking in circles or we can end the call." That statement sums up my experience with this dealership from the moment I drove off the lot. I did my due diligence as an out-of-state buyer: flew in, inspected the car, documented the damage immediately, and escalated through every proper channel available, including BMW corporate itself. In writing, this dealership acknowledged fault and promised to make it right. A month later, on the phone, I was told the direct opposite. Avoid an out-of-state purchase with this dealership at all costs. If you are considering one anyway, document the car's condition yourself before you sign, and get every promise in writing. Spoken words, written commitments, and apologies won't be honored once the deal is done. This dealership was given a month and every opportunity to keep its word. It chose not to.

These vehicles have either a salvaged or rebuilt title. All these people who keep complaining that they were "misinformed" is comical. Do your research. Pull a Carfax, ask for pictures if you're having a vehicle shipped. When you are doing your walk around, check to make sure under hood caps are tightened, body panels, skid skirts, etc are all attached, oil/transmission/brake fluids are topped off, belts are in good shape, all lighting works, the horn works, check the HVAC system, power windows/locks/mirrors, transmission shifts smoothly, etc. Salvaged and rebuilt title vehicles often don't get the full inspection that most used cars do, so go in with a little bit of knowledge before you start pointing fingers. The used vehicle I purchased has a rebuilt title. There were things that it needed before I felt safe taking delivery. Have your own mechanic check it out before purchasing it. They found the refrigerant was low, recharged the system, checked for leaks, replaced two O-rings, and sent me on my way. Unfortunately, after the repair, the A/C would only stay cold for about 15-20 minutes before blowing warm air again. I brought it back six days later, and they determined that the A/C compressor was failing after it heated up. Because this required another diagnosis, there was initially going to be a $120 diagnostic fee. I explained that I felt this was related to the original issue I had brought the vehicle in for, and Brad Schatz took the time to listen to my concerns. He agreed to waive the second diagnostic fee, which I thought was a fair resolution. No one likes having unexpected car problems, but what stood out to me was how Brad handled the situation. He treated me respectfully, listened to my concerns, and worked with me to make things right.
