It is a bit of a drive from State College, PA, but it appears this is the closest traditional butcher to State College. Their prices are about the same (some cuts were a few cents to a $1 cheaper) as a grocery store and it appears they have bulk specials. The lighting nor the signage inside was very good, which made the first time going here a bit confusing/overwhelming. They have fresh sliced and freshly grounded meats (pork and beef). They do have some chicken products, deli meats and frozen fish. It looked like there is a case for fresh fish, but there wasn't any fish in the case when I was there (which was weird since it was the week before Christmas). The staff was very friendly and almost too fast. I haven't tried the ground beef and pork I purchased just yet. But if it's good, I may consider going out there every now and then.

The crust was dry (not in a good way), the sauce tasted like jarred spaghetti sauce, and the cheese was low quality since it was dripping with grease. There was some grease from the pepperoni as you'd expect, but this other grease was from the low quality cheese which had no string-like mozzarella properties at all. It was still way better than frozen or convenience/gas store pizza. And it reheats very well the next day. In short, it's a cute little place with good vibes and decent prices, but mediocre pizza. I'd still come back to try other menu items.
