How did Richmond end up with such a great boutique like this?!…read more As I stepped into the store, I knew this was going to be good. A simple and clean blue and white scheme, a large open space, a couple of racks of clothing, a simple artsy armchair, and Kelsi Dagger shoes! Their careful selection of clothing reflects in the brands that they choose: Covet, Something Else, Gentle Fawn, Spiewalk, Designers Remix, and a couple of other newly discovered brands today. Lots of cute tops and dresses, jeans, as well as a good collection of jackets. Oh, did I mention that they also carry Kelsi Dagger shoes (Pour La Victoire's sister line). They have jewlery by Blee Inara, which were very unique pieces. They only have one change room though, so it could sometimes be a bit of a wait. So happy that I discovered this shop! (And it's right next to Rocanini!)

I'm starting to shop and look into boutiques stores more now. Violet Hill did not disappoint. I was…read moregreeted right when I came in and felt free to browse with no coercion. The store was neatly organized and displayed everything to it's fullest potential. I loved the wall of bags and the small collection of shoes they had. The racks of dresses, tops, pants and sweaters were all very pretty and trendy but were on a slightly more expensive side, than I'm used to but that's boutique shopping right? However, touching the clothes, it definitely had quality in every piece. I was very tempted to buy a high-wasted rose pink flowy skirt for $56 but I stopped the little shopping devil inside me. I loved the very dainty and unique jewelry that adorned the shop as well - there was a feel for antique, aztec and modern jewelry scattered around the room. A very cute addition to Steveston.

First time shopping and it was an amazing experience. Service was top tier, they grabbed all of my…read morethings and took them to the fitting room and to the counter. Even pulled some items for me based on my selections. As a black shopper, sometimes you're treated poorly in stores and that was not my experience at all!!! I was visiting from the US too.

I don't understand why the reviews linked to this Aritzia branch were old when this particular…read moreAritzia just opened June 2020. This branch is the one inside McArthur Glen. I am an Aritzia fan for so long and I do think their clothes get better and better. The brands I love are Wilfred, Babaton, Agolde Denim Forum. I think their clothes are worth the prize. I still have pieces from 5+ years ago that I still wear to this day. The trick when buying from Aritzia is to stick with the classic pieces and neutral colours. I do buy some trendy pieces too but most of my Aritzia pieces are classic. I find that the staff here were very friendly. When lining up outside, a staff will approach you and if you are looking for something in particular then she can enter into her tablet and a staff inside the store will get them ready for you! I think this is an awesome idea. Most of the time when I go to Aritzia I already know what I want. And since I shop here a lot, I also know my size from each brand. I think it will be very convenient if everything I want will be ready at the cashier once I enter the store. One thing I've learned is that this is not an Aritzia outlet. This is just like any other Aritzia but they do carry more sale pieces. I highly recommend this Aritzia location. This is as big as the Metrotown location or maybe even bigger. All the ladies out there should check it out.

One of their bigger stores, especially for the women. Not sure if it is worth for guys to shop…read morehere (I'm only here for business lol) as the pic shows, only a sixth of floor space. Men's good deals on T shirts for $10, with a pocket, tough to find. A special now, buy one pair of 'jeans', get a 2nd for $10. Mind you, not real denim, a combo of cotton and spandex. Amex surprising. Honour the Student Price Card.

Remember when Bluenotes was rad? When they were like the Canadian version of Hot Topic? That was…read morepretty cool, they used to carry rock tshirts, Dickies clothing, CDs, magazines, and they had their own brand National Velvet....those were the good old days. Then they got bought out by the YM Company that owns Stitches, Suzy Shier and Sirens. So now you can get the same two plain tshirts for $10 at Bluenotes that you could at any of those stores. Yay for options! The staff are pretty much run off their feet because the store is filled with peasants who get dressed in the dark and are looking for a bargain. You'll get helped by a disgruntled employee. who is constantly trying to play catch-up by filling the shelves with stock that just came in, since the shit is flying out the door, and half of it is probably not even paid for. The store is usually in disarray, so finding a size is next to impossible, not that the clothes they carry are worth sifting through, the two stars goes to the cheap price of pretty much everything in the store, because occasionally you will come across something worthy of your time and effort. I guess I am just sad to see the old Bluenotes go, which gave us good quality jeans that didn't stretch out after the first wear. Sometimes change is not so good.
