They parked their bucket truck on my lawn, didn't end up finishing the job that day so they left the truck in my backyard- all weekend long. The truck sank into my lawn and left huge tire mark/path. They cut limbs and let them fall all the way from the top of the tree, not tied down guiding them down. They left huge 20 inch deep holes in my lawn. Mark's Tree Service did a really great job. in August 2022 we hired them to take out 7 pretty big trees The crew of about 7 arrived at our house just before 7 A.M., as promised, took out the trees, cleaned up up the yard impeccably, and were gone by 9:30. Terrible service.. Maybe cheaper when quote, but will end up loosing more after the unprofessional service.

We had a tree split last fall and needed to be taken down. We spoke with Mark's tree service and they gave us two quotes to just to take the tree down and leaving it, or to remove it all together. We got a few other quotes but the other companies would take a few weeks out but said they would only feel comfortable removing the tree completely (we should have listened). We decided to have the tree taken down and leave it. So we arranged for them to come and scheduled a time. And so begins the reason for the one star review....That day they showed up an hour early (please understand this is while we are social distancing, covid-19, and I have 2 kids doing online schooling) half the crew showed up and not the individual that I had originally spoken to to arrange everything. Almost 45 min in 5 more crew members show up including the person I spoke to. Soon after the tree came crashing down knocking down limbs and other small trees leaving a mess everywhere. One large limb fell on my metal fence bending it. I told one of the crew members about it and he tried to say it was already bent. They had to fix it after I explained other wise. Needless to say the job was rushed, and not what we discussed. Unfortunately I need the tree down and if circumstances were different I would have gone with another company. Oh, I got $100 taken off for bending the fence. So for one tree to come crashing down and months of clean up $1,800 was not worth it. read more

We had some pine trees trimmed and even though five men were involved in strategizing and holding lines on a large limb, they permitted it to fall on our chain link fence. The repair of our fence cost us over $ 300 dollars. The crew seemed to be in a hurry and either clueless or reckless about the job. Clean up was just so-so. read more

Disingenuous, sexist and incompetent. Made an appt. Estimator gave me estimate. I presented their 10% off coupon-person turned walked off and left. I said really you are not going to honor your estimate or coupon. I know this was because I was a woman. Note the fine print that you must present coupon at time of estimate (which I did). One of my neighbors wouldn't listen & used them anyway & they dropped a tree on their HVAC unit. read more

Our neighbors here in East Greenbush off of Hayes road have been getting trees removed for the last 2 days, the company is awful I personally would not hire them, they show up before 0700 start machines and run them on and off all day which i get but the dudes do more walking around and standing around then taken down trees and cleaning up, They have been out of here by 200/215 last two day. Why? there is a mess in our neighbors yard complete eye sore, and because of how negligent they are I would not hire them or refer them.. come in take trees and limbs down do you job and move on... I work from home so hearing and seeing this for NOW 3 days tomorrow even if they come bc of the snow is insane.. I feel bad for my neighbors. My husband used to work for Advantage tree and many nights he didnt get home till 9/1000 pm because when they started a job they tried to work as late as they could to keep the area/property as clean and presentable as possible.. this property is just a complete mess... Would never hire Marks Tree service.. sure hope they give the home owner a good deal on the jalopy work that is being done... #donthirethem read more
