Not only was the service excellent, but the food and atmosphere we're also superb. It was more of an experience than a brunch, I highly recommend.

Im all about first impressions! I fount this restaurant on Yelp during our first day in Vienna, short distance from our AirBnB. We walked in and the place was empty. The host was very nice and told us they had an event but we could sit and have a bite prior to the event. I ordered the bio-corn fed chicken on a mashed potato bed and asparagus wrapped in bacon. My friend had the chicken filet tempura with sweet potato fries and guacamole. The chicken was soft and very well cooked despite been lightly breaded on My friend's dish. We had the cheesecake for dessert which was very tasty and home made. The service was incredible to say the least. Definitely will come back while in Vienna.

Though Marks opens at 8:30 on Sundays, the place was entirely empty when I arrived just a few minutes before 9 o'clock. The place is very stylish--a fitting design for the 7th district. The bar is sleekly modern with small lights hanging at various heights above the bar. The furnishings are minimalist in a trendy sort of way. Gray and white are the colours of the walls and the tables are neatly covered in sheets of paper. Plants add some life to the very light interior. For breakfast I decided to go with the so-called "Hangover Frühstück," a decadent breakfast of crispy golden potato wedges, sausage, ham and eggs, and a fried tomato--and if this wasn't enough, with a fresh croissant, butter, and seasonal homemade jam. I watched the snow falling outside the window and read for a bit, though before long, my food arrived. The food looked truly beautiful; the colours of the egg, meat, potato, and sprinkling of chives in the pan were bright, and the croissant--served with soft butter wrapped in a piece of newsprint wax paper and a small pot of homemade Himbeermarmelade ("raspberry preserves")--looked wonderfully crisp buttery. Mill Restaurant in Mariahilf lives up to its advance hype. This nouvelle Austrian cuisine…read moreestablishment is pressing the right buttons. First of all, it looks both cool & warm at the same time. Mill consists of three comfy dining rooms with even a touch of industrial chic. And in summer there is a most pleasant Gastgarten. The food ingredients are of very high quality. For this month of November the emphasis is on Gansl and Wildspezialitäten. But be assured they will always have a vegetarian dish or two as well. My most recent dining experience here was very seasonal. I began with a fine Wildkraftsuppe enhanced by the addition of a Kaspressknödel (think Tirolean cheese dumpling.) I ordered a vegetarian main course called a sweet potato and pumpkin goulasch over polenta. This was very tasty down to the very last bite! Oh yes, complimentary homemade bread is also included with the meal. There are at least two different types in the generous bread basket. In fact the only negative was that they could have used another waiter in the busy restaurant. Service was very slow at the beginning taking too long a time to first get a menu and then to order. But yet the service was friendly when they finally gave our table some attention. There are reasons why certain restaurants are very popular destinations today in Vienna. Mill Restaurant is deservedly right up there with the best of them!.

Found this cozy spot a few blocks off the Stadtpark and figured I'd give it a shot. So glad I did. it was pretty packed when we got ther, we were able to get a high top table after just a few minutes wait. Ordered the beef tartare and schnitzel. Be forewarned, they don't skimp on the portions here. The tartare was delicious and came with a salad and about a half of stick of butter, which was interesting. Schnitzel was big enough to feed at least two people and left me feeling like I had finally experienced a real local meal. Wine was also great and made me wish I could have stayed there drinking it all night. But alas, I had an early flight to catch the next day...

Quite tight seating. Restrooms are not accessible by people with limited mobility. No baby changing stations. The food is okay. The schnitzel was fine and so was lamb. Okay to eat but not memorable. Caprese salad was tasty. In conclusion, if you are passing by and hungry, feel free to stop by. If you are looking for a memorable lunch/dinner experience, plan to visit a different establishment.
