We drove from Maryland to visit my friend. They asked you to call a day ahead so they can mark the…read moregrave- Totally fine! However, what they failed to tell us is that they have three different cemeteries. we went crazy looking for block 54 at the main building (there're two on the left side). I suggest to mark as A, B, and C entrances and add more signage on Texas Rd so we don't bother the rude and unfriendly lady at the office- We felt unwelcomed when asked for better directions. we found one of the guys working the grounds- he gave us better directions. He was actually very nice and friendly! They need to do better when hiring. Finally, i found my poor friend- buried where there's no grass- it looked like a dirt road- marked by a flag, no flowers or headstone. :'(

I have 3 relatives buried only because of the cost. Well as they say, "you get what you pay for." I was surprised when the assistant funeral director approached to inform me that in order to have a ceremony and watch her be lower into the ground, I would have to pay the workers $100. The assistant director did advise me of a different site, but it was in Westchester NY (the wake was held in the Bronx, NY). I wouldn't recommend this place unless you don't have the funds to bury your loved one at a classier ground. At least her brother and sister, would not have the funds, are close by in a different section.

You know it's never good when you end up going to more funerals in a year than baby showers or…read moreweddings... I guess I'm just getting older! They have a large parking lot (which is a nice change, not all funeral homes in NJ have this much space for parking), and a relatively small footprint of a building. The space is smaller as the ceilings are lower and not as elevated as some of the newer funeral homes I've been to so a bit tight seating in rows behind the couches upfront for the family. The staff here was quick and efficient in getting us inside and seated, going through the viewing. They have audio/video support for videos and memory slideshows, microphone, and while they accidentally interrupted the speakers before they were all done, they did a quick closing and helped wrap up the signing of the guest book and were in no rush to send guests going.

They were easy to talk to, helped us in our decision making and worked to optimize our budget. They had beautiful touches, such as a 11x14 portrait displayed in the foyer, that no other offered. I will cherish that portrait. Coffee and cookies were offered to those paying their respects. These are small touches that mean a lot. David, Danny, Adriana, Morgan, Debbie, Peter, to name a few, were supportive and easy to work with. I know dad would have been proud of the send off. thank you to Waitt for honoring him.
