The staff is entirely white, and the forced smiles don't hide their underlying fears, stereotypes, and prejudice. Not one person of color works there and I find that alarming..I've been followed and watched from a distance while shopping, which is uncomfortable enough. But what really sealed it for me was at the register when the cashier only checked my money to see if it was real. That was the final straw. I only went there because they have the item that i need for a good price, but I'm NEVER shopping there again.

I finally stopped by and was not only shocked by how massive the space was with a full greenhouse & nursery, but at how fresh the offerings were (ex white corn delivered daily), but also how sweet, friendly, and helpful the staff was. I was greeted so warmly right away and encouraged to walk far out back to see all that they had. It was so lovely! The staff also helped me carry my boxes of white pumpkins, zucchini, cucumbers, plump tomatoes, .80 corn and FREE bananas to my car. Yes, FREE! They were ripe so they were giving them away! Hello smoothie & chocolate chip banana bread!! Score! I was able to grab two bunches for myself and two for my friend. They had a really nice display of fall items just after Labor Day and everything was top quality! I've been into small markets a lot more lately and have been trying to make the change to solely supporting smaller businesses & farmers for my produce. Not only does everything stay fresher because it has traveled less time, it's all organic, and it just really makes you feel good. I highly recommend a stop here if you're staying on Strathmere, even OC or Sea Isle. I will be sure to stop by on my way home from Whale Beach every single time now.
