AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Expensive beyond reason, dishonest and incredibly rude. My experience: 1) Fluctuating pricing 2) Misrepresentation of availability and service 3) Extraordinarily rude management when they refused to deliver on their promises. The backstory: We went to the store in Mid July to schedule shrink wrap service right after Labor Day. Was assured it would be no problem but would need to call after 8/19 to schedule. We even looked at a calendar upstairs and the store associate assured me an appointment would be easy to get because most folks don't schedule until late September or October. This was a great reassurance as we need to leave right after Labor Day for back-to-school. After an onsite consultation where I tipped the guys $20 each on a hot day, I was told by the store the estimate I received was not necessarily accurate and they would not have pricing for a few weeks. Today, 8/20, I called to schedule the service and hear final price. The owner, Scott Fisher, was incredibly rude and told me they could not possibly get to me until after we leave the area for the summer. This was a date which we indicated at the beginning of the process. His reasoning was they have a sidewalk sale the weekend before. Also something they would have known about when we made the initial inquiry. Adding insult to injury, Mr. Fisher was constantly talking over me in a condescending manner and would not let me finish my sentence. I strongly suspect he would not have taken the same tone had it been my husband calling. His behavior was so appalling that I hung up the phone. I'm in shock at how this man would communicate to a long-time customer. Sincerely recommend True Value in CMCH as a more affordable and much more pleasant option. read more

I always enjoy visiting seashore Ace in Stone Harbor. Their hours are wonderful. They carry some gorgeous items for seashore entertaining. Cute cutting boards, bowls, serving trays, dainty napkins and much more. Don't miss out on the display of seasonal patio displays upstairs. They're decorated with the fake food you see in expensive model homes. The features this year were STUNNING fire pits that were not only breathtakingly beautiful but could serve as cooktops. Obviously they cater to the high end client. Ace has helped us in the past when we needed to get keys cut. Also we had an emergency and our coffee pot broke and we were able to find a quick replacement. It's awesome to have this place right in your vacationing back yard if you aren't wealthy enough to own a hone there. read more

Stopped in here on vacation, and ask the clerk up front where to find something. No smile, no audible response, but a single finger pointing towards the back of the store. I need to ask another question to evoke a reply. When I get to my destination, it's clear to me the gentleman at the key machine isn't fond of vacationers, seemingly bothered by my presence. Slaps down my key, no smile, no "anything else?" nor "thank you". I want to ask to be sure which one is the original and the copy. He mutters a reply while walking away. Sheesh. Give this guy his retirement papers, he's clearly had enough. I suppose manners and courtesy are not part of the new hire program here. Fortunately, on my way out, I had a young fellow say hello & the nice lady at the cashier couldn't be more pleasant. Get a clue people. Friendly service is half the battle of any business for success and customer loyalty. Updated review to reflect that the store is well stocked in inventory and probably ample for any needs. I went into the Seashore Ace Hardware store this week to buy a wagon to get my 2 year old son back and forth to the beach. They had the wagon I wanted but the salesman, Kevin, noticed that there was a broken part. Not a problem - he dispatched a driver to the nearby warehouse and had a new wagon to the store in less than 2 hours. When I returned to the store I was delighted to find that Kevin had assembled the wagon and we were ready to hit the beach. I needed packing tape. They had packing tape. It was cool to see a fully functional hardware store amid all the other seasonal tourist trade that passes through Stone Harbor. But they have everything you'll need to round out your vacation. Everything from packing tape to umbrellas to a set of phillips-head screwdrivers and some flashlights to boot. I can't say enough good things about this store and their staff. Thanks to the help of knowledgeable and helpful staff, I have found pretty much everything I have needed at Seashore Ace without having to drive to the big box stores in Rio Grande. In the last 2 years I have purchased plumbing and painting supplies, a hose and garden supplies, Christmas decorations, plastic wine glasses, beach items, and a wide variety of greeting cards. - would not purchase from this store mark up too high - Employee was rude and was bad mouthing not realizing she didn't hang up the phone. - owner Scott when told about the experience rather that being apologetic defended his employee. I was getting ready to purchas a Pavilion brand table chairs and a bench from them. I was provided 2 quotes with differences options. I worked with an employee Sue. This was an expensive purchase and I wanted to make sure I was making the right choice When I asked Sue to make sure the "freight" they quoted was correct (as I had inquired from the manufacturer direct supplier in Miami ) as the price Sue quoted was $2000 higher " because of freight" I figured I would give them the "Benifit of the doubt" She was clearly not happy and thought she hung up when she didn't and in the background heard her say "swear to god this woman ......with the Pavilion quote is asking me if the freight is correct and I spoke to Scott ... etc" So I called back and ask to speak to Scott one of the owners and his response was "Sue is one of my best employees " Clearly they do not care about customer service from owner down to the employees. read more

I recently purchased a patio table and the customer service was excellent from the sales women to the delivery men. They were very accommodating when scheduling the delivery & the morning of delivery I received a call as promised & delivery was made within 30 minutes of call. I've had problems with deliveries from other companies & was wary of what would happen this time. I was very pleasantly surprised & will definitely go back to Seashore Ace Home & Outdoor Living!! read more

Great selection of outdoor furniture. The staff in that department was very helpful. Picked up a pair of telescope bar height sling back chairs at a very reasonable price. Chairs were available front their west house in 2-days. Was able to back my van right up to the rear entrance and they helped me put them in. read more

Seashore Ace is fantastic! We have ordered patio furniture and a new BBQ grill through them and their service has been outstanding. Ryan has been involved with both of our deliveries and he has always taken such great care of our new stuff as well as making sure to care for our home as well. Well this morning's trip was a total waste. Coupons that are issued for rewards members are a total joke. Went to buy a product NOT on sale and not listed as a product exclusion, until I get to the register. Told coupon not good on what I was buying. Then I read the fine print, "any other item that the store may designate", which is a license to decide at the register that you item is disqualified. I try to buy local living on the island, but this is just bad customer service. I guess I won't feel guilty next time going to Home Depot. read more

I needed a new reasonable quality propane gas grille and fast. Sue was extremely helpful explaining the models and features. I was able to get a fair price on the grill. The staff then put the grill together and delivered it with no charge by noon the next day. AWESOME! I'm very grateful Seashore Ace is in Stone Harbor and proud to shop locally. read more

I am loving this store.. Was looking all over Stone Harbor for a toaster because our rental house didn't have one.. Thought I'd check in Ace just in case and found so much more than a hardware store.. Ended up getting not only a toaster but lots more too.. The staff was friendly and helpful..
