Maroma beach is one of the most beautiful, pristine beaches, with the warmest waters (we visited in November), that I have ever experienced. The beach is uncrowded and clean (we accessed it from Maroma Adventures), has white sands, and rather clear, calm waters that is a stunning color of aqua. It's perfect for a quiet, relaxing day, and is one of my highest recommendations of beaches to see in the area.

Maroma Beach is one of Riviera Maya's best beaches, and is regarded as one of the best beaches in the world. Travel Chanel has named it one of the Top Ten Beaches in the World. The sand is white powder. In this area I like the ambience of Tulum Beach better, but Maroma Beach does have finer sand, which is powder white and very fine-grained. The color of the water here is a beautiful aqua-marine and there is no sea grass in the water. The Maroma Resort and Secrets resort is here, as well as others. The Maroma Adventures company is based here at the marina and offers different water and land activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing expeditions, speed boats, All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), camel safaris and horseback riding. They also offer a Swimming with Dolphins activity in their dolphinarium here. I believe this is a private beach. Five stars because it is pretty awesome.

Great little public beach that is not as crowded as the one in town…read more Parking is on the street and can get tricky/tough to find on weekends. There is a walkway to the beach with bathrooms and showers at the end, and a lifeguard station. Along the beach there are places you can rent a chair, or just throw your towel on the sand. There is also a protected area for swimming right where the public walkway comes out. No one bothered us or tried to sell us anything while we were there. I would recommend a beach umbrella though if you don't rent a chair because there is no shade. We will be back!

It drew blood and I had to get medical treatment in Cancun's private hospital at my own out of pocket expense. It was very expensive...in the thousands$$$$ The next day I went to this business and asked for proof of rabies vaccinations, which they did not have. The owner offered me 1000 pesos ($50 USA). THE TAXI TO CANCUN COST $120 USA. Needless to say, I lost 2 days of vacation that I can't get back, a very expense injury I am responsible for, and additional rabies protocol vaccinations in the USA. I would not use this beach access at any cost if you care for your well being. The dogs are always loose and are a danger to those walking onto this property. Just up the beach is free public access and no dogs. Don't support this irresponsible business owner!!!!!!

It's quieter than the main pool and has way more comfortable seating. Get here early though, there was a line at opening and the best spots are taken pretty quickly. The service is quick, there always seems to be some kind of happy hour drink happening and you can really lose track of time here. I love that you can easily walk to the beach from the pool and it wasn't too crowded when we were there in November although I've heard differently during busy season. Really nice cabanas and lounging, my only complaint is the music. It's a lot of loud bumping club music and at 2pm on vacation in broad daylight, I would like something a little more subtle.

Pedro was my waiter and he was incredibly polite and friendly. I enjoyed the morning 2 for 1 mimosa special; never have I tasted mimosas so delicious!!

I have a huge fear of heights and I don't swim..so doing this...helped me conquer those fears a bit. Our tour guide was amazing. He was friendly and hilarious! We started off by zip lining, very fun. After that, we jumped into their first sink hole ( where I thought if I jumped and covered my face..I could preserve my makeup...wrong, lol ). After a few jumps into the first sinkhole, we went ATV riding. Suchhhh fun! The thrill on that ATV was amazing! We drove the ATV's to their 2nd large sinkhole. Where we were able to zip line into the water below, OR you could jump off their manmade "cliffs" (per-say). Lord have mercy on my soul, I was shaking like a baby, but after a few " screw it Vy, you got here this far, might as well " I managed. The last jump, however...landed wrong and ended hurting myself a bit. Regardless, those precious memories of conquering your own fears, is what I live for. After the 2nd sinkhole, we took the ATV a different route back to base, to which they had lunch ready for us. Note, you aren't allowed to take your phone with you. Or use sunscreen or bug repellent, they want to preserve the waters in the sinkholes. And pictures are done through them, you can purchase after the whole shenanigans.

Would not really recommend the chicken flautas (more like chicken fingers and cheese flautas). If you do this as a tour package, the tour operators MAY tell you no cellphones so they can sell you the photo package. We drive there ( no parking fee) so we were allowed phones. There are two Cenotes. DO the package w/two Cenotes. Even though the Cenote at the main place is nice, the one offsite is even better. 3 levels of platforms to jump from and a very LARGE Cenote to swim in. Even though we took out own pictures, we bought the picture package for $60 usd as the photographer took some really great pictures. Highly recommend this place.
