Deep in Pet Cemetery (Sac Actun) cenote

What a wonderful afternoon! Juan was our guide and Hugo was our driver. We went to Jaguar and Pet Cemetary and then a delicious lunch. Jaguar had a free zip line and was more of an open cenote not a covered cave like thing. But perfect for our family and our friends with teenage girls. Pet Cemetary was unique and truly a once in a lifetime experience. All gear, including waterproof flashlights was provided. It was the perfect afternoon away from our resort. Juan was an incredible guide, charming and informed and very interesting. Completely worth the money and something we will remember forever.

I had an amazing experience with Absolute Adventures in Tulum! Everything was well organized, and our guide was incredibly friendly and made the whole trip even more enjoyable. You can tell they really care about making sure everyone has a great time. The highlight for me was visiting the Tak Bi Ha cenote, it was absolutely stunning. The water was crystal clear, and the whole trip felt peaceful and almost magical. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots I've seen. If you're in Tulum and looking for a memorable adventure, I highly recommend booking with them!

We had a private tour with Absolute Adventure and were so happy we did. We took a short trip to visit the Tulum ruins and Joshua and Ivan were our guide and driver. Not only were they very punctual and attentive and friendly, they provided amazing service. As we were walking around the ruins, Joshua took extra time to explain so many different points on the ruins. He used his iPad to show us images of what the ruins used to look like. He is not only knowledgeable about the ruins, the history and culture but also the wildlife around the area. We saw many other tour groups and they were not getting the same level of service and information we were. I would highly recommend using Absolute Adventure Private Tours The group sizes are small. The vans are incredibly comfortable. The service is outstanding.

A wonderful experience with friends and our amazing guide, Joshua and our amazing driver, Rodrigo! Joshua was so knowledgable and fun to talk to. My friends and I did the Tulum Private Tour with Turtles and Cenote Snorkeling. We were a group of 8, so it was exciting to experience walking on Mayan land, snorkeling in the cenotes, and snorkeling with turtles. The experience is about 5 hours and it flew by! Joshua made the experience immersive and he was a great guy to talk to. My friends and I enjoyed learning about the Mayans. He showed pictures and gave us a mini history lesson while we were touring the Mayan Ruins and it was an incredible experience. He also took awesome photos of me and my friends. The lunch that was included with the experience was delicious! A great way to relax and chat before we headed to our last excursion. We were staying in Tulum, so it's about a 15-20 minute drive to each location after you're done. After we were done, Joshua gave awesome recs to do in Playa Del Carmen and Tulum. Thank you again Joshua! You were an awesome tour guide. If my friends and I are ever in the area, we'll definitely do a tour with you again! Muchas Gracias! :D

Cristina and Omar knew all the best places and kept us just in front of the crowds. Wonderful adventure to Tulum ruins, a cenote, and the turtle sanctuary. As a private guided tour we were well taken care of. You could feel the fun that Cristina was having and it was impossible to not have a good time too.

    Dos Ojos Cenotes

Definitely worth it. Cristina and Omar made The Dos Ojos Cenote an unforgettable experience

This tour was one of the best we've done in Mexico. Having a private tours offers so many benefits especially when traveling with younger children (4 years old.) You have the ability to do more or less depending on how it's going. They stop for restroom breaks, etc. We even wanted a specific souvenir and our tour guide, Arturo, made sure we got it. He helped guide us when we were bargaining with vendors and even took us to a Cenote that was incredibly peaceful- no crowds. Shortly after we left the crowds descended and we were so grateful to get to experience it away from everyone else. Lunch was excellent as well! Our driver was superb. We would book a tour with this company and Arturo any time and you should too.

Wow! I'm so exited and happy to be able to write this message. Being a tourist from another country and not knowing what you might be getting into, is hard. I told myself that if I liked this tour I would write a review and let others know that this is the real deal. First off, we were picked up on time, grabbed some juice or coffee. They had drinks (soda, waters), and snacks (chips) for us throughout the trip. We would stop for the restroom if needed. Our, first stop was Chichen itzá, and we were among the first people there, (Alex had our tickets, so we walked right in) which makes for really good pictures when no one in the background. It also makes for great weather as it gets hotter as a day goes by. We headed over to the Cenote. We were given the choice of two, and we picked the open air, one which usually is very busy, and we got really lucky that nobody was there yet, except for maybe one group of 10 which I hear is all to us considering that they get really busy. We ended up at Valladoldid for a stroll and lunch. They order ahead so we don't wait long. This tour may be a little pricey, but I'll tell you it's really worth it. All the entrances are included and so is lunch (drinks not included). I would 1000 times recommend this, and if going back I will use them again for another tour to another place that they may offer. Thank you Alex, and to our driver for the great tour, you are a great tour guide and very informative. It was me and my husband and another couple friends and we all agreed that this was so fun and so worth it.

    Private lunch

Alex was absolutely incredible! It was amazing that we could choose our own cenote and the private tour experience was just the best. We started our day with a private hotel, pick up where we decided which cenote we wanted to explore. After an amazing time swimming with a private snorkeling guide, Alex, we had some free time before we headed over to our tequila tasting and lunch. The different types of tequila and Alex is knowledge about the tequila was very impressive and I definitely found a newfound love and appreciation for tequila. I'll highly recommend booking directly with them instead of through a third-party site as we found it to be a better price. I would definitely book with this group again and again specifically the private tours as it was one of the highlights of our trip.

What an amazing excursion -- truly the highlight of our trip! Christina and Ivan picked us up from our hotel right on time, and from that moment on everything was seamless. Our first stop was the Tulum ruins, where Christina gave an incredible tour. She explained the history and architecture in such a fun, engaging way that we learned a ton while also having a great time. After that, we headed to the Taak Bi Ha Cenote, and this part was unforgettable. Christina guided us through the cenote with snorkeling gear, even taking us safely into some of the cave entrances. She kept us informed, comfortable, and always safe -- which is so important with all the cave formations. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Juanita's restaurant, then made our way to Akumal Bay to snorkel with sea turtles. Christina and our bay guide, Anna, took us out where we saw dozens of turtles, plus a stingray and even a barracuda! From start to finish, the day was perfectly planned, super fun, and absolutely memorable. Highly recommend!

Cristina and Yosh are the best! We had an awesome tour through Tulum, swam in the cenotes, and saw so many sea turtles at Akumin! Alex, our turtle tour guide was patient and spotted 7 or 8 sea turtles. Loved every minute of it. Lunch was also wonderful. Love the people we met along the way. Cristina shared so much knowledge. There were plenty of drinks, local and water. If you are having trouble deciding- stop thinking and book with Absolute Adventures!

    Entering pet cemetery cenotoe

The most fabulous excursion. beyond our expectations. Christina our guide was extremely informative and so very fun. we spent almost 2 hours in the pet cemetery cenotoe. Includes a nice lunch. Rodrigo was a safe and very friendly driver. Don't miss this particular cenotoe and tour group. Highly recommended.

We were picked up on time in a nice big clean car. Daniel was very friendly and was giving us history and information about the area during our ride. We parked and got on a tram to the main entrance. We were able to walk all the grounds and Daniel gave us all the amazing history and was able to answer all our questions- even the ones about the wildlife. When we retuned to the car he had a cooler with cold towels and a big variety of cold drinks for us. The excursion included lunch at a place of our choice and we asked for Daniel's suggestion as we wanted something local and not a tourist spot. He took us for some street tacos that were amazing! He was also kind enough to stop at a store so we could grab a few souvenirs and a mango stand for some fresh mango. My wife and I can't recommend My Quest Concierge Private Tours enough. Shout-out to our amazing…read moreguide, Heriberto Lopez. He took excellent care of us for the day. It was just us three. We loved having a guide all to ourselves. We stayed at Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen. My wife found out about My Quest from Tripadvisor. We booked a "VIP Tulum Private Tour" over two months in advance through Viator. It cost $340, prepaid online, and we tipped Heriberto $75 in cash after the tour ($415 total in US dollars). We thought it was worth it. The preferred method of communication for My Quest, like most of Mexico, is WhatsApp. Two days before our tour, we got a WhatsApp text message from Carolina to confirm details. Our only gripe with My Quest came in this message. The company wanted to change our pickup time from 7:30am "to 6:45am since we have found more people due to the season." We were a bit annoyed with that because we booked and prepaid with My Quest in order to get a private tour at the time we specified months ago. I politely replied and asked if we could keep the original reservation time. I received a prompt response, yes. Around 8:30pm the night before our tour, we got a message from Fernanda. She confirmed our pickup time, told us that Heriberto would be our guide, and gave us his phone number so that we could message him via WhatsApp. Once again, I had to correct the pickup time from 6:45am to 7:30am. I messaged Heriberto to make extra sure. Heriberto showed up on time at 7:30am. He picked us up in a company car, a GMC Acadia, I believe. It could've been a GMC Terrain. I don't remember exactly. The SUV had a transmission issue where it would downshift unexpectedly, usually after we got going on the highway. This mildly concerned both us and Heriberto. He reported the issue to My Quest. Heriberto is local to Playa del Carmen, where My Quest is based. He's friendly and intelligent. We could tell he is passionate about his job. He loves his family, Mexico, and the environment. We felt safe when we were with him. Our tour consisted of three stops, each of which I reviewed on Yelp. In order, they were: 1. Zona Arqueologica de Tulum 8:45am to 10:00am (times approximate) https://www.yelp.com/biz/zona-arqueol%C3%B3gica-de-tulum-tulum-2 Zona Arqueologica de Tulum is the famous ruins of Tulum. This is a popular tourist attraction. Heriberto and My Quest proved to be very valuable here for two main reasons: First, Heriberto knew the most efficient route through the ruins and he was terrific at timing our stops so we were rarely around other people. He made our tour of Tulum feel special and intimate. Second, Heriberto was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Tulum and the Maya people. He brought an iPad to show us pictures and diagrams, which added another layer to his history lessons. 2. Cenote Xunaan Ha 10:30am to 11:45am (times approximate) https://www.yelp.com/biz/cenote-xunaan-ha-ciudad-chemuyil 3. Cenote Taak Bi Ha 12:15pm to 1:45pm (times approximate) https://www.yelp.com/biz/taak-bi-ha-zona-hotelera-tulum Cenote Xunaan Ha is an open, above-ground cenote. Cenote Taak Bi Ha is a closed, underground cenote. At both cenotes, Heriberto provided us with life jackets and snorkeling gear. Life jackets came from the cenotes and snorkeling gear came from My Quest. Xunaan Ha was a leisurely swim and snorkel. Taak Bi Ha was a guided tour. We absolutely loved both. Cenotes are some of the most beautiful natural occurrences on earth and they must be experienced in person. No hiking was involved, but the swimming, especially in the cold water of Taak Bi Ha, did take some energy. Eat a good breakfast and bring snacks for the car. Heriberto had bottled water for us. We arrived back at the resort around 3:45pm. We were gone for over eight hours. Due to highway traffic, it took over one hour to get from our resort in Playa del Carmen to Tulum and it took over one hour to get from Taak Bi Ha back to our resort. Therefore, there was a lot of drive time. We also made a pit stop at a Pemex gas station on the way back. At all three stops, Heriberto took care of everything: translation, parking, restrooms, escorting, tickets, access, etc. He was also great at taking pictures and videos of us, and knew all the best spots and angles. He knew how to make the pictures look as if there weren't other people there, especially at Tulum, which had large groups of tourists. We appreciated that even though we didn't ask for it. He just made it happen. Heriberto was fantastic. Tips: - Both Viator (via an emailed link to a web page) and My Quest (via WhatsApp messages) will tell you what to expect, what you can and cannot bring, and what's included and not included (e.g., lunch was not included on the tour we booked). - Don't wear sunscreen to the cenotes. It's generally not allowed because it harms the cenote ecosystems. - Strongly consider bringing water shoes. Ours came in handy at Taak Bi Ha.

Our guide, Manuel, was not only communicative and informative but went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and relaxed the entire day. He even stopped at a pharmacy on the way out to find a good medicine for my mom's back, which she hurt a few days before our trip. Without that she would have been miserable and unable to enjoy any of the activities at our stops. The pyramid at Chichén Itzá was breathtaking and Manuel took amazing pictures of us from the perfect vantage point. I have been interested in and studied Latin American history for several years so I found his knowledge about new and relevant information only just being released in academic circles incredibly fascinating. Our lunch at Paladar De Cura in Valladolid was the best meal I had our entire stay, and we also did a tequila tasting and some souvenir shopping in town. After lunch we headed to Cenote Chukum where we swam in the cool waters of a cavernous sinkhole with small catfish flitting beneath our feet. It's no mystery why this tour is rated the #1 activity on Tripadvisor out of 700 others. You will not regret booking it.

I'm sure it would've been cheaper to go to these cenotes on our own but it was worth it to have this tour group organize everything for us, provide transportation, etc. Plus both our driver and your guide were amazing and made the day even more fun!
