It's…read moreclose to A LOT of fun activities ranging from grabbing a REALLY good pizza from Kozy's (which they conveniently sell at the office) to walking 1/4mile to the gas station for ice cream. It's no more than a mile from the 4th largest lake in Wisconsin, castle rock lake, and they have a nice bait shop that's open 7 days a week from 7a-7p. There are a few golf courses near by, snowmobile/ATV trails right across the street and even airsoft/paintballing 1/2 mile away! There are a lot of activities around the site as well volleyball, playset, horseshoes, custom made basketball hot shot and our favorite, sitting around a nice bonfire and seeing all the stars. They told me they no longer have rooms available for my group. He offered up some alternate hotels that were 15 mins away and in the wrong direction of the golf. I am sure it is a nice place but my situation was handled very poorly and i will not be seeking lodging here in the future.

Plenty of room for a large group to spread out but the house also provides real coziness that makes it feel like a (very cool) home away from home. Our group loved shooting pool, feeding the jukebox, playing pinball, and taking turns at the one-armed bandit all while enjoying a roaring fire near the full-sized, classic wooden bar. the hot tub was truly awesome and large enough for us all to enjoy and we also loved taking advantage of the huge dining room to play games or the super comfy den area to hang out and watch movies. We loved the layout of the upstairs bedrooms giving everyone privacy but also being near each with a vintage hotel vibe. I couldn't get over the wrap-around balcony shared by all the bedrooms...loved it... so many details big and small that truly make this place an original. Seeing as it was early January we couldn't truly appreciate the huge yard with its many statues and sculptures (and a vintage phone booth that works) as well as the close proximity to the water, but I hope we can stay again when it's warm to take it all in during the peak season. The host and his assistant are super attentive and very responsive. It's clear they put a lot of time and planning into trying to give everyone the best experience possible. My only regret is that we didn't bring more people with us to share this treasure! I highly recommend.

We stayed for a long weekend, and and it was the perfect location to get away. The rooms are all themed so when you call to reserve you can pick from the rooms they have available. We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

The view is better than most that I've stayed in. With the new owners, we were greeted with such friendliness and hospitality! The rooms are large and super clean, nice linens and super comfy beds. My room had a really nice big fridge which was great for the drinks and snacks that we brought for the weekend. It is quiet but right in the heart of all the action too. When we were there, there was a group playing Corn hole in the parking lot which my kids loved too. The darling white swing was great for drinking my morning coffee while watching the water. I would highly recommend this motel over any others located in Green Lake!! I WILL be booking again!
