We stayed here for two nights because of a local conference. From what I experienced, this place…read morecould have been better, especially paying $160 ($180 when you add taxes) a night. That would be more inline with a moderate Hilton property which this was not. The rooms and cleanliness of the hotel were adequate but you can tell this place has aged quite a bit. Judging from the architecture, this used to be the old Americinn but now the new Americinn is down the street and the existing building was sold off. This location is now considered a Baymont Inn & Suites. It looks like they didn't do too much to update or change it for the better, basically kept it as is. There is no more exercise room or dry sauna, both have been turned into storage. The hot tub was also closed down while we were visiting. Not sure if that was temporary or if it has been out for some time. The pool wasn't that warm so not having a hot tub was a huge miss for us. Breakfast was not bad. Standard hot continental options - make your own waffles, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and microwaved omelets. There was also plenty of cold breakfast options as well. Location was pretty good, you are within walking distance/short drive to many different fast food options and gas stations, right across the street from a grocery store (Piggly Wiggly), and around the corner from a local coffee shop. You are also right off the highway (for better and for worse). If I would have paid in the $80-110 range I would have been OK with this place but I overpaid for what I got in terms of experience.

I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone whose not to high and mighty for a quaint little place with respectful friendly staff.

The second night I stayed in the room right across the hall. There were still leftovers in thr refrigerator from whoever last stayed and the room had a very unsatisfying odor to it. When we woke up the next morning to check out, there was a roach crawling on the bed board of one of the beds. We told the lady at the front desk and she didn't seem too surprised. Multiple people with the wedding encountered very bad customer service as well. I'm guessing since it's the only hotel in the area(so no competition)they just slack on all of their efforts. Sleep in your car!

Made a reservation because they listed this hotel as pet friendly on yelp and BringFido.com…read more Checked in for one night with our sheltie. All went well. Asked about a pet fee, where to walk the dog and get rid of pet waste. The did not have a pet policy to sign or a pet fee. Just no dogs on the bed. Ok. Next morning we went to grab breakfast only to return to be locked out of our room because we had a dog! Now we are dealing with a different person than who checked us in. They wouldn't let us in the room until we paid a fine for "unauthorized pets" of $250! We had to call the Lomira police to have the staff let us in our room. Long story short we had to pay their "pet fee" (again for a non pet friendly hotel) and a transaction fee and had to leave immediately without showering or anything. Will NOT return and just want other pet owners to know about this. What's joke.
