Literally anything up to your credit limit. There is nothing you can legally do. Your only recourse is civil action. Paraphrased...the onus is on the cardholder to prove that the vendor did not provide the services and goods claimed, or to acceptable standards. You'll most probably get it back, but you lose a day, and it's a pain etc. If they put through, hypothetically $267, odds are that it's more expensive to litigate than write it off. Good business model. Odds are in their favour. I consider it a relatively affordable lesson in legal credit card abuse. It's an extremely expensive windshield replacement though.

Unfortunately, the people mowing my lawn kicked up a tiny rock that shattered the window next to my front door. The process was pretty easy, I took measurements they requested and sent a few photos. Someone came out and measured everything. To be fair, the window was double paned so there was still one intact window but the broken one was shattered and there was broken glass all over the place. The person I spoke to indicated that due to the location, they would expedite fixing it. It was a pretty big shock that it wasn't fixed for almost 3 weeks. They said they were waiting for the replacement window to come in and it would be the same everywhere which could be true. They offered to come and clean up the broken glass, which I appreciated. They fixed it without any issues. Now, you would never know it happened. I tried to get ahead of it and pay the remaining balance the same day they fixed it which was a big mistake. For some reason, it didn't register with them. Almost four months later, I have received 3-4 calls from them about my "outstanding balance". I have the charges on my old statements (I paid the first half before, second half after) so I definitely paid. It has been extremely frustrating.

I thought I only needed a chip repair- but by the time I got to work, that chip stretched to a 5" crack. And by the weekend, that shit stretched way more. The good thing was that hubs immediately plugged in all the necessary deets on crack size and the location of it right from his phone using our car insurance app to book my appointment at no cost to us to get my glass replaced. The bad thing was, I'd had to wait til Monday afterwork to get my windshield fixed. I was really hoping for one of their mobile technicians to come to where I was parked by my job- but somehow, that wasn't available. Not far from The Container Store in White Plains, this Safelite came to the rescue just right. I confirmed my appointment at the "office" then spoke to one of the technicians who filled me in on how much time it'll take to replace the windshield. With a fleet of a few technicians, they made sure my car was taken care and I'd pick up my car in like 2-3 hours because of the "EyeSight" feature in my car that added extra time. When everything was said and done, I picked up my ride a little over an hour. Perfect. So aside from all the Debbie Downers here, Randy and his team were totally respectful and so friendly.
