I thought I only needed a chip repair- but by the time I got to work, that chip stretched to a 5" crack. And by the weekend, that shit stretched way more. The good thing was that hubs immediately plugged in all the necessary deets on crack size and the location of it right from his phone using our car insurance app to book my appointment at no cost to us to get my glass replaced. The bad thing was, I'd had to wait til Monday afterwork to get my windshield fixed. I was really hoping for one of their mobile technicians to come to where I was parked by my job- but somehow, that wasn't available. Not far from The Container Store in White Plains, this Safelite came to the rescue just right. I confirmed my appointment at the "office" then spoke to one of the technicians who filled me in on how much time it'll take to replace the windshield. With a fleet of a few technicians, they made sure my car was taken care and I'd pick up my car in like 2-3 hours because of the "EyeSight" feature in my car that added extra time. When everything was said and done, I picked up my ride a little over an hour. Perfect. So aside from all the Debbie Downers here, Randy and his team were totally respectful and so friendly. The vanity is missing shelves and mirrors. I called so many hardware, plexiglass and wood supply stores seeking help. It was so frustrating because they kept telling me the job was too small so they couldn't take my order. I was also very sad to think that my husband's plans for his vanity project would never be realized. But on a whim, I called Dave's. The woman who answered the phone said she could absolutely fill a custom order for glass vanity shelves. She could have the edges polished, too. I was so relieved that I started to tear up. The bill came out to just below $100. They did a beautiful job. Now that the shelves have been installed, I can actually use the cabinet. I had a crack that happened and spread Saturday afternoon and by Sunday it was fixed very well by Ian. He told me that due to the climate and moisture it wouldn't be a perfect job and that makes sense as it was snowing with cold temps. He was very responsive via phone and on a Sunday helped to schedule me in and have it taken care of. I had most places that would push me out a couple of days and maybe have me get a new windshield. The crack was bullseye crack a little smaller than a dime and spread about 8 inches. The quoted price was very fair and much less than the big shops.
