I was here for a business conference and needed to use a breast pump during our lunch break. When I asked about a private or semi-private location I could go, I never expected them to give me access to an actual suite! First room was dirty Second room... Laying on the bed and couldn't figure out what the smell was. Finally identified that the smell was coming from the carpet by the nightstand. Smelled like someone threw up or spelled sour milk. ;( Third room.... Was typical but did not investigate afraid I was going to find something else. As Marriotts go this one is average, needs an overhaul, no concierge lounge or if they have one I wasn't told about it, as a platinum member I should have been but I'm not even sure they recognized I was. Staff friendly but seems like they are overworked, they check you in and also staff the Starbucks, really, no full time barista? Bar staff very friendly and was helpful with food recommendations so they get high marks. Like I said average but this place needs an upgrade. read more

To say expectations were not met is an understatement. I called to make the reservation I asked about connecting rooms. The staff member told me that could be arranged at check in. When I spoke with the desk at check in they told me the type of rooms I reserved were could not be adjoining. So one set of staff was not being honest with me. The staff at the front was rude and condescending when asked questions. Also to be charged for internet use is ridiculous. Especially given the cost of the room. I Cannot remember the last time I stayed at a hotel and was charged for internet usage. The hotel was ridiculously overcrowded with lots of noise throughout the night. I understand this happens but there was no effort to try to control people. The pool size is extremely small for how large the hotel is. My kids were hoping to swim but with the number of people already using the pool there was no way for it to be safe. Lastly to wake up in the morning and expect there to be a Starbucks and to be told there is no staff so there is a thermos of coffee was disheartening. I understand staffing issues but these are all things your staff should be honest about up front. I paid for a "higher quality hotel" and expected higher quality and level of service. I have paid much less for other hotels and revived a MUCH higher standard. The one positive was the restaurant in the hotel. Prices were high but the food was good and the staff was wonderful. read more

The fiance & I traveled around West Chester, Hamilton, & Fairfield searching for a reception venue and this was the fourth place we looked at in one day. If you're looking for the generic, cookie-cutter wedding reception - look no further. If you're looking for something different, stay away. We had attended a reception two years ago at a Marriott in Columbus. Upon entering the building, we immediately realized if we held the reception at Marriott North, we had already been to our own reception. The room seats 400 & comes with a $10K food/bev minimum bill PLUS 21% gratuity PLUS 6.whatever% tax. They "include at no charge" chair covers and an ice sculpture. If that's something you're interested in, good for you. But for me - that added no benefit. They do include a honeymoon suite & a room for the wedding party to hang out in during cocktails at no charge. The real downer for me was the wedding coordinator. I swore if I ever had to see or talk to her ever in my life, it was too soon. The fiance described her perfectly - picture the worst used car salesman, now make it female, & put her in a pink blazer. Seriously, she was awful. Laughing at her own jokes, too much fake happiness for me. read more

Buffet breakfast was great and they didn't freak out when we put all 9 of us at one round table that was meant to seat 6. Highly recommend this hotel! read more

What can I say, you must visit Deb and Amanda at the restaurant\bar. These two ladies rock this area like experts. My ONLY comment, to the group from where ever ( I know where, no buses here), the ladies waited on a group of 18+ at the bar and the group tipped less than 10%, not because the ladies were less than professional, because the person next to me slid the bill my way! Unacceptable for this extreme level of service!!! We tried to help with the lack of tips and brought a tad of happiness!!! At least appreciation! Rock on!! read more

Very nice hotel! The renovation was great for this hotel, love the new colors and more modern feel. This hotel was conveniently located to lots of great restaurants and shopping (mainly Ikea). The pool area was very nice as the tall ceilings and large wall of windows made it very bright. The pool itself was large and the pool furniture was actually comfortable. We were the only ones at the pool which was great, and I loved that I could watch my daughter and husband play in the pool while so was working out. The fitness room was clean, spacious, and very well equipped. I loved how the fitness room was setup with a lot of good equipment that was arranged on the perimeter of the room leaving lots of floor space in center of room. Front desk staff was super helpful and very nice at check in. Loved having a Starbucks in the hotel so I didn't have to go far for my morning go juice. The room itself was great: very clean, modern but functional, and most of all the bed was super comfortable. Loved the couch in our room that was actually really comfortable, and I loved the TV size and placement because we could all enjoy watching TV from anywhere in the room. The bathroom was very bright, shower was fantastic, and I loved the sliding barn door. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. read more

Loved this hotel! The rooms, bathroom, fitness center, and lobby are all beautiful. The staff was amazing and really seemed to care about the guests. We had access to the M Club which was nice and had plenty of water and yogurt on hand. In the website it says they have hors d'oeuvres and desserts on Sunday-Thursday and breakfast from 6:30-11 on weekdays. We stayed during a less busy time and they did not have dessert/ hors d'oeuvres either night we stayed and breakfast was taken down at 10. They did refund us the extra cost and made sure we got free breakfast at the restaurant, but it was still disappointing. Overall, a great experience and I would for sure stay agian! read more

We had made a choice to pick this hotel among the many others located around the vicinity, and I have to say in all my years of staying in different hotels in different locations, including 'days inn' styled atmospheres, this hotel was disgraceful! The pool is what attracted us to stay, which as many of you know a lot of places are not offering right now, the pool was small and FREEZING! they had stated there would be 'complimentary' bottled water, it lacked not only that, but also a working fridge. I was looking forward to coffee in the morning, considering we are traveling with two children, and there was no coffee filters, no coffee, not even a coffee filter insert! So we start to head downstairs thinking they might have their coffee shop open in the lobby... I should've have known it would be closed and all of the cups and sugar would be gone. Then we thought 'okay, maybe they have breakfast since our kids are starving.' NOPE. Nada. Zilch. So we all go back to the room and start packing, and I had needed to iron a shirt... NOPE. The poorest excuse for even a cleanly run as well, considering there were someone else's black hairs everywhere, AND stains at the top of the tub surround that I guarantee could've been bleach scrubbed away. NEVER AGAIN! If I could give this hotel a zero star I would. read more

This hotel is very nice and in a great spot. Very close to shopping, entertainment, and the highway. The staff was very friendly and nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars was because I could tell the room wasn't vacuumed very well. There was tooth floss string underneath my friend's bed. We left and asked for housekeeping to come clean the room while we were gone, and when we got back the tooth floss was still under the bed. But everything else seemed clean. read more

This Marriott location by no means stands out in the class of Marriott locations but as the brand prevails it was more than a fine place to stay. My parents are rewards members due to my dad's travel so they get all the perks, bells & whistles. It's a nice way to travel and I assume it'd be even better to travel like that when on business because it makes the ease and convenience worth it. Alas, my dad let my mom and I have some points for a night stay as a girl's weekend trip. The concierge evening club was not open as it was the weekend; however, they did provide us with two breakfast coupons. The woman who checked us in and was there the entirety of our stay, Chelsea, deserves many praises. She is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable of the hotel and the area. We had arrived on a Friday around 11am as we were going to go do some shopping and then stay the night. We understand most check-in times are later in the afternoon but we also like to check. The room had not yet been prepared as we had requested a feather free room but Chelsea asked for our cell phone number and stated she'd call as soon as it was ready. Approximately thirty minutes later we had received the call and a voicemail stating it was ready. That was some service! I will say that this review would be closer to a 3.5 half star based on the cleanliness of the elevators. The hotel had some soccer teams coming through and that led to the elevators becoming more like trashcans. Not terrible, but noticeable. The only other downside which is obviously not the hotel's fault was that we were right next door to a group of college-aged guys that seemed to want to party and drink until about 3am. I blame their parents more than the hotel, but I digress. This hotel also has a gym and a pool onsite in addition to their bar and restaurant. As far as most Marriotts go it wasn't their best, but it's one I'd return to as well. read more

I recently came back from participating in an Annual Conference for the group I was interning for and the Cincinnati Marriott North in West Chester was our host venue. I cannot say enough great things about this establishment. They had some of the very best hotel customer service I have encountered. All the way from check-in to check-out the staff here was absolutely exceptional. I am particularly impressed with their efforts to go the extra step to make everyone's stay enjoyable. They even walk their guests down the the elevator upon check in to make sure you get to your room quickly and easily. All of our needs were met from making sure we had the right equipment in each of the meeting room to hosting a great breakfast as well as in-between snack sessions. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. In addition to their great customer service the hotel has wonderful room with very comfortable beds and I was also very pleased with their fitness facility. I worked out one night and was pleased to see that most of their cardio machines has personal televisions attached. At first I was disappointed because I had not brought my headphones with me but I was GREATLY surprised to see that they had a small basket of headphones we could use and take with us! Wonderful! I know that is just a little something but its things like this that let me know a property really cares about providing great service to its guests. loved the location...easy to access from highway and back off roads alternative routes ...the room was spacious and modern decor ..loved the beds . only downside..no drawers. .awesome front desk staff and maintenance staff quickly resolved issues durning our visit . kudos to dennis . bar was awesome ..great decor and nice large area . great food and drinks selections. now the reason for 3 stars ...awful housekeeping staff ..1st day left @ 9am rt to room 2pm after lunch still room not cleaned asked room attendant unable to understand then we advised room needs to be cleaned unable to take shower and change left rt at 400 pm . then note stated housekeeping between 9to 6pm . then sec day returned late 9pm and room was not cleaned at all . received towels and tolieties from security officer at 10 pm. read more

Humiliating experience We were returning to our room with our 9year old, exhausted from all day games during the basketball tournament held that weekend. My partner and I stood at the side door searching for our keys. Our sleepy 9yr old had to be carried from the car and was still in uniform. Our hands were full as we search wallet and purse a good 3-5 minutes for the key. I finally found mine and that is when my partner noticed the hotel 'security' guard standing there all the time watching us struggle to gain entry. We were furious! Why hadn't he lifted a finger to help or offer some kind of assistance? It was so humiliating and infuriating we refused to stay the night and demanded a refund. When we addressed the matter with the front desk agent, he sided with the 'guard ' citing security reasons. That's a farce. This was borderline insanity. Where was the 'hospitality?' Where was even a shred of common decency and compassion? We left there and found a BETTER hotel nearby that welcomed us with open arms and even had better rooms. We will never stay at that hotel again. I can only hope this poor service is not indicative of the entire Marriott hotel culture... Keeping your honored guest outside the door believing they are a threat rather than showing the basest of humane treatment. read more

Was only here for one night but from what I saw I was really impressed. Rooms were clean and modern. I was on the 5th floor and my room overlooked the highway which I really liked. The hotel is close to the highway but not so close that it's noisy. I slept peacefully, I just like looking at the lights at night and watching the cars go by. The bed and pillows were comfy. Overall a really nice, rather fancy and modern hotel. It seemed to have all the amenities that most high end hotels would have although I didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of all of them. My only minor concern was that a couple of the towels in bathroom appeared stained. I guess that can be expected with pure white towels. It would also be nice if the hotel room had a microwave and it they provided guests with a bottle of water although there is vending machines available. Room service was a little slow but the delivery person was nice and the flatbread I ordered (although rather small) was delicious! There is also ample complimentary parking available. I'd definitely consider staying here again. read more
