I actually really enjoyed my stay at Marriott Cincinnati North. Front desk was super friendly. Room was clean and up-to-date. I had a great view of the highway and Union Centre Blvd; along with the diverging diamond interchange traffic outside (no sarcasm, I was genuinely interested in seeing this, coming from California). Bar service was a little slow at night, but still a good experience nonetheless. Breakfast in the executive lounge was above average when compared to other Marriotts. They did run out of coffee one morning, but that's a small thing. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. read more

Frustrating. Lifetime Bonvoy Titanium. Saying that only because I have never had this happen in 25 years. Memorial Day weekend. Butlers Bar and Grill open until 11pm, it is every Sunday. Except nobody told the people working. Come down from the room at 9:30pm and have people meeting me for a beer. There are 15 "parents" drinking in the area near the lobby. I go into the bar and there is NOBODY working. Wait 10 mins. Lights are on. Nothing. Had to have the other people meeting me head to BW3's. Won't be back. Just frustrating. read more

My experience at Marriott was one of the most unprofessional and poorly handled situations I've ever encountered at a hotel. I was attending an event where our group had rented a large portion of the meeting space. During the event, a member of their staff--who later identified himself as the food and beverage manager--was yelling at children who were simply being kids. They were not damaging property, not being destructive--just acting like normal children at an event. I approached him calmly to understand who he was and why he felt it was appropriate to speak to children that way. Once he confirmed he was hotel staff, I asked why he handled the situation so aggressively. Instead of responding professionally, he immediately escalated the situation. Rather than addressing the concern, he accused me--a paying guest--of trespassing and told me to leave. When I questioned that, he escalated further and called the police. At that point, I stayed to ensure the situation was properly addressed when law enforcement arrived, because I had done nothing wrong. Before they got there, I went to the front desk and asked to speak with a higher-level manager. I was told no one was available. However, when the police arrived, a manager suddenly appeared--but instead of helping de-escalate, the situation became even more tense and poorly handled. What's most concerning is not just one employee's behavior, but the complete failure of professionalism across multiple levels: - A manager yelling at children unnecessarily - Escalating a simple conversation into a confrontation - Falsely accusing a guest of trespassing - Calling police instead of resolving the issue appropriately - Management failing to step in and calmly resolve the situation This was not a misunderstanding--this was a breakdown in basic professionalism, judgment, and customer service. The situation escalated to the point that police were involved, which should never happen over something this minor. It reflects very poorly on how this property trains and manages its staff. I expect far better from a brand like Marriott. This experience was frustrating, avoidable, and handled poorly at every level. I would strongly caution anyone considering hosting or attending an event here to think twice. read more

Antisemitic Muslim staff with full head garb working the front des ask me if I had enough money to pay for the hotel room at check in and told me there. Extremely rude as I stay travel all the time and stay in places far nicer. This hotel must be independently run. It's the absolute worst Marriott I have been to in 10 states. Staff is terrible and extremely rude. I placed a do not disturb sign at the door and yet at I was rudely woke up at 8 am by Muslims banging loudly at my door when check out isn't until 11am. This was our first time at this location. We have always like the Marriot Brand hotels. This is a nice hotel. We stayed for one night . The room was typically decorated, it seemed clean with no issues. We slept through the night, I can't comment about noise through the hallway or coming from the rooms next door, wasn't really loud. There was plenty of people because of soccer tournaments around the area. My only complaint is with the breakfast. I felt it was overpriced for the variety of options. If my out of town family had not been there, there are cheaper and better options. We did eat from this bar on the previous night and the food was good but still pricey read more

Average hotel, definitely not the nicest Marriott I've been too. This hotel was remodeled like 7 or 8 years ago. Felt like putting lipstick on a pig. There was a huge newish looking stain between the beds when we arrived. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to clean it right away. It's just like, why would you leave that as housekeeping staff and where is the accountability for making sure these rooms are clean? Same thing with the mildew in the bathroom, they tried to cover it up but did a poor job. Also, around the outside of the tub, it was a bit dusty and had a few spots, this is cleaning 101. The inside of the sink at the top also needed to be scrubbed. Whoever cleaned this room just doesn't pay attention to details well. Besides those details, the sheets and counters/desks were clean. Front desk was kind. The pool is way too small for this huge, busy hotel. It was like sardines crowded in the pool. You are right there next to IKEA, Twin Peaks, Top Golf, Main Event, AMC and my kiddos fav...Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I would not stay here again. read more

Stayed here this past weekend. Walking in, the place seemed nice. However, when we arrived they informed us the king room we'd booked wasn't available and we'd be given two full beds instead. Frustrating, but no biggie.... until we got to our room, the AC didn't work, and the bed spread on one of the beds had blood splattered on the sheets and comforter. They brought us a new bed spread but No apologies or reparations offered. Idk, I try to only give positive Yelp reviews, but what a terrible experience. read more

Reception was absolutely the most uncaring I've ever experienced. I checked in online and got a digital key. Still stopped by the front desk to ask a couple questions and was treated like I was an idiot because I already checked in. Do you have waters in the room? Front desk wasn't sure. Came back down after because they didn't. $200 plus room with no water bottles. So when I went back down I looked in the "market" area which is the saddest excuse I've seen and by the front desk woman's explanation is just chips. Grabbed a bottle of water and when I went to the front desk to pay there were 4 bottle of smaller water there. I asked if they were available and I was told "no those are for a room security is taking them up." I then got to here the security complain on the phone to someone else about having to take waters up because he isn't room service. I think he said he's going to talk to "Linda" who ever that is because he was frustrated as well. So I asked ahead of time about water and she had no idea... came back less than 5 mins later and someone was getting 4 bottles delivered up to their room. She could not of cared less when I pointed this out. The room is over priced. The service is awful. Glad I will be here less than 12 hours. read more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott. It was very quiet and serene. The beds were comfortable and like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was pretty clean, the only complaint that I have with the shower was there was black mildew, mold on the bottom tiles of the shower, besides that, everything else was clean. The other complaint I have, it that I ordered a Teriyaki Bowl with Grilled Chicken from the hotels restaurant, Butler's, it wasn't that great. The Chicken was barely seasoned and the whole meal was just over all, bland. I also found a hair in my food. That meal was also pretty expensive, $30! All of the people working at the front desk were kind and patient. I had a great stay besides those two issues. I definitely would stay at a Marriott again. read more

The hotel really did impress me, my fiancée and I came down here for a wedding and they accommodated very well for everyone it seems. As far as I could tell they hooked up parts of the hotels so that the wedding party could use certain rooms even late into the night for after parties and what not. Of course noise was still controlled to a point but they were pretty cool about the whole thing. Being that this was a indian wedding it's loud, colorful, and a lot going on and they handled it very well. As of our room we got a corner room on the 6th floor and I must say it was pretty nice. I think we both enjoyed the size of the room and the look of it. We had a huge bedroom. The bathroom was nice as well and fairly big with slide doors into the shower. The shampoos and all the little amenities that were there smelled really nice. The body wash especially had a great smell always nice when you can get out of the shower feeling clean and super fresh. Check in was quick and easy the prices were very fair and the stay was pleasant. Plus parking is readily available all around the hotel with multiple points to get in with your key card of course. I enjoyed that the rooms had the rfid style entry reader where you just tap you card and the doors open I really like that. The area is quiet but a nice place and it's only about 30 mins from Cincinnati as well if you looking to go to a game or just hang out. Don't forget Kentucky is just across a bridge once you get to Cincinnati! read more

Marriott oh Marriott how nice was this Marriott. I enjoyed my time here. The rooms were nice and spacious and the staff accommodated my family really well. The only biggest issue was I booked two rooms one was ready early and the 2nd one was proposed to be ready by 4, which it was not but they worked hard to get it ready after I informed them of still waiting for my 2nd room. It was a little difficult to communicate with the housekeeping staff because of the language barrier. Starbucks close at 930 so please if you want Starbucks within the hotel get up early and go get some or you will be disappointed to know Starbucks is at your doorsteps but closes REALLY early. read more

This hotel is very old, not taken care of. There are stains all over the hallway carpets. The lobby looks like your entering a nice establishment but that is the only thing that is taken care of. What's interesting to me is how Marriotts can range from the highest of class, upper echelons, all the way down to almost a motel like establishment. This location was on the latter half of that scale. The main lobby and concierge was bright and open, and though the bar was way understaffed, it was still a nice place to congregate in after a long day of meetings. The most irritating part about hanging at the bar however, was having to walk all the way through the dining area, past the lobby, and around the Starbucks just to use the bathroom. It wasn't a real huge deal, but it was an odd layout and didn't seem quite well thought out. The rooms themselves left MUCH to be desired, as well as the entire walk to get there. Aside from the entrance, the remainder of the hotel felt dark, dank and completely dated. My colleagues and I agreed that the rooms resembled a scene from the classic murder movies. As I turned in for the night, I couldn't help but think it might be my last night alive. New carpets and a paint job would do this place wonders. A fridge would have been nice too. On the upside, the beds were the same comfortable Marriott beds I've grown to love. At the end of the day, that's mainly what's most important I suppose! read more

Have stayed at this property many times over the years. They have always provided a good experience. Clean rooms, friendly staff and good location. The bar manager is a big bourbon fan so the selection is great if a bourbon fan. The only drawback is this property recently made a change to their M Club Lounge access. From Friday evening till Sunday evening the lounge is completely closed. They have always had no food during the weekend but now you cannot even access the lounge to get bottled water or sodas. Apparently they have had some issues with people taking things in excess which is sad but reality these days. Luckily we were able to get a couple bottles of water at the bar area versus having to pay for them. If in this area, would suggest to fellow Marriott loyalists. read more

Very strange to be in the middle of West Chester, Ohio and find a hotel as good as this. I think this particular Marriott could really train others as an anchor hotel on customer service. I have stayed here twice and both times have blown me away at the level of service I have received. The concierge lounge is always full of great appetizers, nice host and good drink options. My only complaint is the main restaurant in the hotel. Both trips, we ate there about 5 times and were pretty grossed out by the food. There were a couple of ok items but the bad outweighed the good. Apparently there is a new chef who used to be the soux chef and he REALLLLY needs some help. For instance: The Parmesan Chicken came out with about 150 capers on it. No joke. A massive pile with the juice that soaked into it. It was like a bottle of salt. The mussels were in a broth of salt, with cracked shells and pried open which is dangerous. I sent those back. My boss ordered the pizza and it was like a doughey mess, almost like a pie shell. (not pizza pie either) Things that were good: A great filet if you ask them to withhold the massive glob of salty butter. The house made chips are tasty too. Other than that, eckkk... Go across the street, there are plenty of options in the area. Back to the hotel now: Friendly, comfortable, spotless and fantastic service. Everyone greeted you and went out of their way to make it an incredible stay. Would definitely recommend if you are passing thru or there for business. read more

One of the better Marriott hotels. Lobby, restaurant, and bar are great looking. The rooms are laid out just like other Marriotts but they have a bit of their own flair. For example, the power panel / video hookup normally off to one side of the desk is positioned front and center for easier access, I personally liked the move. Ate in the restaurant, Had a NY Strip that was pretty good. And for breakfast, ate very lite so the waitress gave us a break on the price....Outstanding service! read more

I did a lot of shopping around for venues when I started planning my wedding. The one thing I really liked about the Marriott in Union Center was that it offered a "one stop shop". We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony followed by a cocktail hour, and our reception all in one place. This was great and so convenient for our guests, especially for ones from out of town, they didn't have to drive all around Cincinnati to different places. The planning of the event went so smoothly. Adrianne was my event coordinator and she was so detailed with everything (which I loved). She was so flexible with her time in being able to meet my husband and I around our work schedules. There were a couple times I just needed to ask her quick questions and she didn't care that I texted her. Very very helpful and great piece of mind to have. One thing that I really thought was great that they did for us is they designed the menu (for rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, and reception dinner) to our tastes and needs. We basically got to create our own dish for both of the dinners. For the rehearsal dinner we did Montgomery Inn style ribs and chicken buffet with sides. My co-workers STILL talk about how great the reception dinner tasted. We had chicken cordon bleu, but instead of blue cheese it was stuffed with ham, swiss, and cream cheese. Absolutely delicious! We had 135 guests and the Marriott was also able to tend to dietary needs/restrictions of my guests, which was great. For both the rehearsal dinner and reception, the staff was phenomenal. Everyone was so attentive and genuinely made us feel like they appreciated our business. Adrianne and the staff were so accommodating to our needs and we are truly grateful the "day of" went off without a hitch. We would definitely recommend this venue for ceremony and/or reception to anyone looking to get a quality experience that you will remember forever. read more

From the time they walk you to your elevators and explain the design of the hotel until the time you check out and are greeted by a friendly staff, you feel good that you chose the best hotel in the area. The hotel is very well maintained. The concierge lounge serves high quality food with a great variety. Chicken Parm for the evening and eggs, lox, fruit for breakfast. The fitness center is very modern. Close in proximity to shopping malls and restaurants. I'm glad I made the right choice. read more

While it was overall a nice hotel, there were definitely areas they could improve upon. First the good stuff - very nice facilities. Rooms were clean, well stocked, never felt like I didn't have something I needed. The work out room was medium size - about 6 treadmills and some weight equipment, but had no issues being able to use a treadmill. I mean - who works out while you're on a trip haha. The food from both their restaurant and caters was good, but wasn't blown away by anything. So there were some things that I think they can do better. I understand that check in for most hotels isn't until the evening, I was disappointed my room was not ready upon our early arrival (12 p.m.). Moreover, it wasn't ready until 4:30 p.m. The reasoning they gave was they were booked full the night before and therefore had more rooms to clean and turnover. They were also kind enough to check my bags so I didn't have to carry them around. Because I had conference sessions to attend from 12 to 4, this wasn't a big issue, but something to keep in mind if you arriving early to this hotel. Last point, I work in the tourism and hospitality industry and I'm not sure why this is still an issue that hotels / restaurants / attractions won't give into in this digital age. Please do not up-charge to access hotel wifi internet!! There is a free lobby wifi, but you cannot access it in your room or in banquet halls without a password. This costs an additional $9/day!! What?! **We did receive the password as part of our room rate, and I really hope that is a standard practice. If it is standard practice now, I'd give this hotel 4 stars. read more

Nice hotel. Check in was fast and front desk associates were efficient. There are no microwaves or refrigerators so I called to see if we could get one and we had one delivered to our room within 10 minutes. Hotel itself appears to be clean and rooms are comfortable. We didn't hear much noise at all, we're on the first floor away from the elevators though. I'm giving 3 stars due to lack of microwave which isn't that big of a deal but would be nice to have as we are staying 5 nights, one of those things you can get accustom to not having but when you get used to it and travel a lot it's nice to have. Also, there were several times the room key had to be replaced because it wouldn't work to get in the building or to get in our room. When I went to get key replaced it was mentioned it may be due to being near my cell phone, good tip because I've never had the problem before or gave it any thought. Update: Our last day there I needed to do some laundry, I only had about 15 small items to wash and dry but after waiting 2 hours for items to dry I finally called the front desk to see if there was a dryer that actually dried clothes. The gentleman at the front desk told me i could go to a nearby Laundromat or he could send maintenance up to check out the only dryer in the entire hotel. Maintenance, to my knowledge did not show up. My husband got back to the hotel and was able to pull the dryer out from the wall and the hose vent was so kinked up its no wonder nothing dried. So, after a total of 3 hours spent waiting my clothes were finally dry. Let's get it together Marriott, it's not only about a good check in and a clean room. Amenities matter! read more
