    Balcony

I was disappointed with my stay at this Marriott. This was my second time staying here, and unfortunately, I experienced another issue with my room. The biggest concern was the balcony. I paid the same rates as other guests but was assigned a room with a balcony that was significantly smaller than the standard ones. It was so small that you couldn't even comfortably sit facing the ocean. I was told this was because I had a room with two beds, but that information was never disclosed when booking. Had I known, I would have chosen a different room type. What was most frustrating was the response from staff. Rather than offering a reasonable solution or any gesture of goodwill, I was told I could walk around and compare balconies in other rooms. That wasn't a solution--it simply highlighted that I had received an inferior room for the same price. I expect consistency and transparency from Marriott, especially as a returning guest. The room itself was fine, but the lack of communication and customer service surrounding this issue left me feeling like my concerns weren't valued. I hope Marriott will be more transparent about room differences in the future and do a better job of making things right when guests have legitimate concerns.

IYKYK, just in case you don't...Marriott VA Beach is fabulous!! Easy check-in, friendly services and a ton of amenities!! Numerous restaurants nearby(walking distance). The weather was sunny, cloudy, very breezy (depending on day), definitely feels like fall. Here for a work conference and they could not have selected a better venue. Absolutely love my visit and definitely recommend!!

If you want to get in the holiday spirit, come to this place! It's decked in a Winter Wonderland setting, from woodland creatures, such as reindeer and the snowy owl, to a family of polar bears. The lobby is decked out in woodsy Christmas trees and snow drifts and tinsel. The halls are lined with vibrant poinsettias and greenery thoughtfully placed. So if you're feeling like you need a break or a little down, step into this beautiful winter wonderland! It's sure to lift your spirits and put a little merriment or joy into your heart!!

Check-in took a long time. The entrance is shared with the embassy suites and that becomes a bottleneck for the cars to get to the parking lot- we waited for 15 mins before we could even enter the garage after a 4 hour drive. The rooms are modern and clean but rather small if you have 4 in your party. The hotel is nice with multiple (expensive) restaurants on property. They also have a private beach (kinda). The elevators are poorly coordinated and can also become a bottleneck during checkin times. They finally gave some complimentary water bottles on our last day (only) after I mentioned my status with Marriott.

    Marriott's "Ocean View"

I specifically booked and paid a premium rate for two Junior Suites with ocean views and couches. Upon arrival, I discovered that only one room met the description of a Junior Suite. The second room was not a suite at all, but a standard room with two queen beds and no couch, which is materially different from what was confirmed at booking. Additionally, neither room provided a true ocean view. Instead, the so-called "view" was a partial ocean view at best, with the primary view being the Embassy Suites building. This is not what was advertised, nor what I paid for. (see attached photos of my "ocean view") This experience was especially upsetting given the circumstances. I was traveling with my recently widowed mother, and this was meant to be a meaningful and comfortable New Year's Eve stay for us. Instead, it was stressful, disappointing, and far from the experience I intentionally selected and paid a premium to provide. I called multiple times and was assured a manager would call me back. They never did. The next day I finally got a manager who offered $75 (which I still have yet to see credited.) We spent almost $900 on these falsely advertised rooms. * One room was not a Junior Suite * There was no true ocean view * Amenities explicitly booked were not provided * The price paid did not reflect the accommodations received * This situation is completely unacceptable for a Marriott

This property was beautiful. The location to everything in VA Beach is convenient. My room was great and had an ocean view. The staff was attentive. The meeting rooms were more than adequate and styled perfectly for the area. The food that was presented was satisfying. The rooftop bar is very cool with spectacular views of the ocean. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to VA Beach. Till next time....

We had an incredible weekend getaway here!! The service was great from the moment we checked in until the day we left. Incredible views (when the weather was cooperative) and such a relaxing atmosphere. Shout out to the dolphins for adding a little extra charm by constantly being around. We enjoyed the bars, the pools, and the food at Orions Roof. Definitely will be back! You can see more about our experience by checking out our video! https://youtu.be/eAr91JV8-K0

Doug our bellhop was very nice and gave us all the info we needed! The staff are super friendly! My fiancé and I went here for a little getaway! My one and worst complaint is the motion censored bathroom lights, which leads to the occasional black out in the shower .

Checked into this hotel during my stay in Virginia Beach and this hotel is absolutely breathtaking. The oceanfront view is definitely worth the upgrade, because the views are just breathtaking . Waking up every morning to the sounds of the waves crashing and watching the sunrise here is something you must do in your life at least once. I was refreshingly surprised because I have stayed at Marriott's before, but this hotel was exceptional and one of a kind! We checked in Friday night and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel itself is modern and very clean. During our stay we ordered room service from the hotel cafe, this was not great- the food was mediocre and the juices we ordered were not fresh they were bottled. The coffee was also terrible so we decided to not order room service again thereafter and ventured out to eat. I wanted to try the rooftop restaurant, the Orion, but there were no reservations available at the time of my stay which was disappointing but good to know in the future you must reserve in advance. The hotel is situated between a few other hotels and next to a beach club which you have access too. Also across the street from the historic Cavalier hotel. The area itself is gorgeous and very safe and there is parking on site with your reservation. I wish the food in the hotel was somewhat better but the overall stay was incredible and I would definitely come back just to enjoy the ocean views!!!

This review is not based on a hotel stay but rather than several private events I attended during the week. I did give them 5 stars despite the parking. I rolled up for a Gala in the Seaside Ballroom and was told there was no parking. I did not like that. I believe that parking is very difficult there because that garage is for hotel guests for 2 hotels and for the restaurants that locals go to such as Orions Roof and Tulu. It's just frustrating. The 1st event was outdoors and there was a live band. The food was buffet style and there was plenty of seating. It was actually the 1st time I was at the Cavalier Beach Club because it's closed to non members. I absolutely stuck my feet in the beautiful pool because I might not get another chance. It was very nice and the food was delicious. The setting is just beautiful. Going there makes me think that I am on vacation and no longer in VB. It's classy and beautiful. Wednesday I was in the Seaside Ballroom and the room is very large and easily held everyone. They had a bottle of red and white wine on the table but they also had dessert already on the table which I did not care for. The table was already so crowded. The salad was very fresh and wasn't drowned in dressing. The meat was very tender and had good flavor. It's hard to cook for a large crowd like that and it was well executed. Huge shoutout to 2 awesome bartenders.....Missy and Kevin. They were funny, friendly and just so nice!!!!! I enjoyed talking to them. Overall this is a great venue, it's classy and beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly. Worth checking out for a staycation or a vacation or just and enjoy a meal at Tulu or Oriens.

Very spacious room! Not shown is the little hallway from the front door and the tv area on the right

My husband and I only stayed here one night on a weekday in a king bed junior suite. The hotel itself is new, modern and so beautiful. Our room was so spacious, simple, and clean! The balcony has a view of the beach, but you have to step outside and look left to see the beach. Inside the room are 2 pairs of house slippers, 2 robes, plenty of towels, toiletries in the shower and bar of soap on sink, sofa bed with extra linens, huge comfy bed, and just have to mention again how much space there was! There was a little hallway once you enter your room which I feel like spaced us away from the outside noise since our room was right by the exit. I appreciated how the parking garage is easily accessible from the lower floor rooms. The fitness center has brand new equipment - cardio machines, leg press, leg curl, bench, free weights, cable machine. Right outside on the property are beach chairs, limited seating by fireplaces, and easy access to the beach and boardwalk. Every single staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful!

This is a beautiful resort loaded with three interesting hotels. There is a Marriott, an Embassy Suites, and the best of them all is the historic Cavalier Hotel, which isn't part of a chain - But a single owner owns all three hotels. They have several really nice restaurants to choose from, ranging from casual and bars to a couple very nice, high-end restaurants. The service at Cavalier was outstanding! Everyone we encountered provided outstanding service! The service at the Marriott - Not so much! Too many of them felt like they were doing people a favor by being there, especially at the front desk. Checking in was completely inadequate. I don't seek being having my status acknowledged, but when they don't, I start to pay more attention to everything else they do. They simply checked me and gave me the wrist band; there was no explaining the property, giving suggestions, and they definitely didn't offer points or breakfast based on status. I had to ask if there was an M Club and that's when they told me there wasn't and provided cards for breakfast. The other, bigger issue with checking in was the horribly very long lines and only 2 counters of people checking in - craziness! Especially when you're there for a conference, like we were. The other issue was the tiny pool. This place it pretty big, with lots of rooms, and tons of people staying here, especially families. The tiny pool was packed with kids, not very relaxing for adults. The beach area was nice though, and it's nice that they give chairs on the beach for free, but they charge $30 for an umbrella - RIDICULOUS! Especially, since I saw people walk straight on the beach and take up a spot under an umbrella someone else left when leaving the beach, thus it was free for them. The room was decent, but the humidity in it was ridiculous! The air conditioner didn't seem to expel the moisture in the air, like ACs typically do, so all our clothes were damp when we got dressed and left the room. The elevators aren't temperature controlled at all and they take forever to arrive to pick up when the hotel is busy. Overall, it's a beautiful area and a very nicely decorated hotel, the management is what needs improvement. It's clearly very lax on all these employees without direction, drive, or proper execution. Unfortunately, I'm stuck having to stay here a couple more times over the next several months due to other conferences I need to attend.

Beach view from the 22nd floor.

10 out of 10 highly recommend. I wrote a much longer review on TripAdvisor but this app wouldn't let me copy and paste and I really didn't want to write the long review again, but this was one of the best Marriott's I have ever stayed on!! If you want luxury on the beach this is the place for you!

I believe this place is fairly new, because I so remember something else being in this spot some years ago. However, I could be wrong, but let's focus on present day... I was invited to a 50th birthday celebration here last Saturday. I had a general idea of where the place was located since I am sorta familiar with the area being a native and all. But we arrived close to 7pm and everything was all set up. My friend advised us to arrive at 6:45pm because it was a surprise party for her husband... so we popped in and everything was in tact. Even the workers were on their post awaiting to great the guest and provide service. I especially loved seeing this! I don't know about you, but I have been places where people are still setting up or put the early arrival guest in a waiting area until the main area is set. Well not at 757 events, they were on point!! I can be long winded when writing reviews, but I like to give yall an experience and feel how I felt when I visited. Especially, since this is the first review... This place is really all the rage!! Not too big of a event space, but just the right size to entertain a group of 100 maybe more. But a few tables were set up along with a few cocktail tables... a club lounge vibe it gave. I believe the owner decorate the spot, so my friend gave a vision and it came to life last Saturday night. Another big plus... the owner catered the event. The buffet set up is away from the party people... I loved this!!! I didn't have to worry about smelling like food or even the venue smelling like food! The bar set up... another big plus!! I believe the bartender was set up through the owner and he was on point too. Even though he was a one man show, he kept the drinks flowing... no complaints, all smiles!! Now the parking lot is rather small. I did not notice if more parking was behind the building. But if you arrive early enough no worries here, as we did. Overall, this place is gorgeous and far as I can see ran properly and with love! You can tell whoever is behind this, loves what they do. I highly recommend you look into this venue space for your party needs big or small. Take care and enjoy life :)

The staff that was there on the day of my event were also very friendly and professional. We loved the bartender. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Not one complaint was given. You will not be disappointed if you book with 757 events. They handle it ALL, food, decorations, liquor, DJ if needed. My husband had the best surprise party ever. I will book here time and time again. Thank you, Karen, and your wonderful staff!

There's always something different going on, which keeps things interesting and gives me a reason to keep coming back. I also really like that they serve wine too, so there's something for everyone depending on what you're in the mood for. Service has never been an issue for me. It's always been fast and efficient, even when they're busy. My biggest complaint is honestly the crowds. A lot of times it gets really crowded, and there isn't enough parking, so you end up having to park across the street. The problem is that there's no traffic light there, which makes crossing the street pretty stressful when traffic is heavy. The left turn out of the place can also be frustrating because it's on such a busy road. It can cause traffic to back up, and I've seen some pretty questionable situations with cars trying to get in and out. And once it gets crowded, seating becomes another issue. There simply isn't enough seating for the number of people who show up. Obviously, it's a great problem for the business to have, but not necessarily a great experience for customers. Overall, I really enjoy coming here for the events, food trucks, seasonal brews, and wine. I just wish the parking, traffic, and seating situation were better because those things can definitely take away from an otherwise great experience.

It's a big open room and they have fans on the front wall up high for safety. It gets hot! You definitely want to wear sneakers so you don't trip, get stepped on, or accidentally hurt yourself. Also wear comfortable, breathable clothing because you put on headgear/goggles, a microphone, a vest, wrist sensors, and ankle sensors. It's not a time to be looking all cute . Be sure to have a team name in mind because they will ask you for one! You also get a handle you can create individually so your stats show up after the game indicating your accuracy, kills, and points if you do the DEADWOOD ZOMBIE games -- which I highly recommend. SO. FUN!!!! Arrive 15 minutes early (or more) because you need to find parking. Parking can be expensive -- just don't do the open lot close to Only Renee's; that one was crazy pricey when we checked. You can have a max of 6 players in a game. If you have less than 6, there's a possibility randos could join you. Fortunately, we did not -- we only had 3 in our group. I tell you, I was screaming my head off in DEADWOOD VALLEY. I'm surprised my friend and sister did not tell me to shut up. I was LOUD. When you finish playing you have an opportunity to do a back-to-back game for 20% off, which my sister and I did. We went for Squid Games, which was entertaining. The ones we played had 5 different mini-games -- somewhat similar to the show, some modified. I tell ya though, I had challenges getting back up from the floor when I fell because of the sensory balls that jut from your ankle bracelets. Staff were friendly and patient. Zeke was our original host -- he took the time to brief us on equipment and the rules. There was a slight hiccup where my sister's and my friend's avatars got mixed up. They were going to correct it, but we didn't want to lose play time re-doing the pics. If you're celebrating a birthday they do this cool thing -- I'll add that later because we're celebrating another friend's birthday soon and I don't want to give it away. Sandbox VR is a great addition to the area! I love it when something new from other larger states comes to our area for a variety of recreational activities! We did a 2:15PM appointment. The set up is unreal it feels like you're in a movie when it comes to those set ups where they put the people in the suits to do the motion of any animation but instead it's with your VR set and you have ankle sensors as well as wrist sensors to be able to control your movement throughout the games that you choose and they have a variety of game choices. We did squid game and I personally think that that was a 10 out of 10 is definitely one of those things where you feel like you're part of the game in the series with some of the games being similar to what they did in the squid game and others more of virtual reality scheme of what is inspired by the series itself. Our Guide was very helpful and reassuring safety protocols and give us the rundown of the experience and what possible motions like falling down or you might feel vibrations and it goes for any of the other games depending on which ones do you choose and all their stimulations are online for you to book and you can book them at any time and they are hours are early morning to late evening so this is perfect for those that want to do some fun, fun nativity throughout the day or even the evening. And you can check in before you get there to make it easier. that what we did and we were able to get started as soon as possible with no wait time. There is a disclosure on their booking site. That says you may be grouped with other people we actually got lucky where we didn't have any anybody else besides us too, so the game was actually easier for us to do and they do know that the more the merrier the more challenging is because everyone has headsets there are noise cancellation so you can only hear what you hear through the mic from the group that you're with and the person that is your assistance if you need anything. And the cool thing about this experience alone is after you are done you actually get to take home a video of your experience and variations. We were able to get like a three part videos of us in split version as well as it a trailer of our overall experience and this was included with the price itself, which was for us $60 each and it can get higher than that depending on how many people you have their price range from$60 to $100+ dollars, but it's definitely worth experience and we will definitely be back again for another experienced. this time will do strange things and they do have other ones that are more family friendly options so it's definitely for everybody all age groups and I would say add this to your bucket list. If you're a person that likes to experience virtual reality plus play your favorite game or experience your favorite series on the TV network..

It nicely done with hanging chandeliers and fire pit.. Also a new wooden structure was recently built outside the pool to post results and put up fliers of all sorts for the club. The pool sets on beautiful real estate right off the golf course. I have always found the grounds surrounding the pool to be well maintained. If you are a member of the club this is really a great space for a family to enjoy. I am not a member of this club, but from my four years of helping around this pool I would recommend checking them out for membership.
