I ordered a small charcuterie box which is a 10x10 box filled with meats, cheese, fruit, nuts, crackers and accoutrements. Simply delicious and the presentation is top notch. This year I wanted something different... something special. A charcuterie board! Yes. That would be perfect. I was searching around online and found Charcuterie Pickering. They were close, their website was beautiful but most importantly, the reviews were great. I thought at first that they might be a better option for our corporate events but then I saw that they had all sorts of options available, large and small. I couldn't find a price list online so surely they're going to be too expensive for what I was looking for but thought, what did I have to lose by requesting a price list? I reached out via their website and Maria was quick to respond to my query. Much to my surprise (and happiness), the prices were reasonable. Since it was just for my husband and I, I opted for the small 10x10 box. Charcuterie Pickering accepts payment by etransfer and credit card (by phone). As I was paying by credit card, I had the opportunity to speak with Maria directly. She asked about allergies and preferences. Thankfully neither of us have any food allergies and because of that, I didn't want to limit her creativity by choosing any preferences. I wanted her to know that she had complete creative licence and mentioned my love for blue cheese so even that would be welcomed... you know, on the off-chance she may have some laying around. (Okay, so maybe that was one preference I was hoping she would include.) We scheduled our pick up for mid-afternoon on New Year's Eve and she came out to meet us at our car. Honestly, at first I was amazed by the weight of the box but as I peaked through the lid, my excitement grew! It was so hard to wait until later in the evening to have it and truth be told, we did dip into it a couple of times along the way. Our box included an assortment of meats, fresh and dried fruit, crackers, olives, jams, jellies and even honey with the most adorable wooden honey dipper. But there she was... tucked into a corner... the most glorious looking blue cheese! To be fair, that blue cheese was the reason why I couldn't wait and ended up sneaking a couple of bites early. Everything was absolutely fabulous... especially that blue cheese! My goodness, that blue cheese! Picking through the box was like a little food adventure... trying everything, in every combination. It was beautiful. It was delicious. It was perfect. I hope to make this my new New Year's tradition.

The apple carrot cake loaf that had nuts in it as well. It was so moist and delicious. And then I tried a piece of the gluten-free one (I want to say it was cranberry almond) and it was shockingly great also. Usually I find gluten-free desserts to not be very yummy, but this was great. I had several unused bags of wheatgrass that thawed out and reached out to the team to see if any of this was still salvageable. Not only were they quick to respond, they asked how much I had lost and offered to replace at no charge. They didn't have to offer to do this (as I never asked), but truly speaks to their company values of making sure their customers are taken care of. 10000/10 recommend.

I've been coming to Dynamic Greens for years and have always been met with a friendly face that can answer any and all wrestling about wheatgrass. There really is a difference in health when you start drinking your first glass! Digestion, alertness, sleeping are just a few of the bodily functions that I've seen an improvement in after regularly drinking cubes of juice daily. The fact that there's a pickup option saves on delivery charges - plus who doesn't like a nice drive into rural Ontario. The price is right, especially when you compare it to health food stores. You can get charged upwards of $4 per oz of wheatgass, that's highway robbery! I recently purchased 200 fl oz which would have equaled well over $800 at a juice bar. Needless to say I'm paying a fraction of that price. I always look forward to coming back and replenishing this refreshing green elixir!
