Mixed berry crisp. Pumpkin pie.

Half a dozen donuts. Death by chocolate. Skittles. Cinnabon. Maple. Mixed berry crisp. Pumpkin pie. All were absolutely delicious and hit that sweet of mine! There's gluten free and vegan options available.

Cute vegan donut cafe in barrie! I always stop by when I am travelling up north. Great donuts with large variety of flavours on a roaring schedule (check out their flavour availability on their website as it changes daily) The coffee and hot chocolate was sadly not great. Very watery and not taste. Donuts made up for the rest. I ordered pizza buns which I thought would be served heated up. Still good cold Bur disappointing. The tarts were delicious! Everything was fresh. Gluten free options available ~ Only had one worker and she seemed very stressed and understaffed when a family of 11 walked in.

Very tasty donuts with a lot of variety that rotates daily. They are vegan, and always offer a few gluten-free options as well. I find some flavours a bit too sweet for me (but hey, it IS a donut) and lacking the richness that you might find in a non-vegan donut, but the fun and creative flavour options and fact that you are supporting a small business vs. big box chain are what make me come back again and again. They're best eaten fresh, the day you buy them.

Front counter - end of day which is why there's a more limited selection.

I had been waiting for a GF donut to hit the menu and tadda it did! Came by after multiple friends had mentioned the vegan donuts were delicious! Stopped in later in the day and was warmly greeted by one of the owners, Bill. He was very nice and offered a sample of a GF donut hole so he could see my reaction to trying their recipe for a GF glazed donut. No surprise, it was so good! Nice texture, flavour and overall appearance. It was like having a "real" donut again! I had to try the full GF glazed donut and boy am I happy I did! It was the best GF donut (and vegan) by far that I've ever tasted! I highly recommend and am hoping they may venture into a take on an old fashion sour cream glazed. I'll be sure to try the Homer Simpson or strawberry GF glazed donut next! And possibly a cookie or two! If you're on the hunt for great GF baked goods and excellent customer service, definitely contact mmm donuts stat! I do recommend calling ahead so you aren't disappointed if they've sold out. With great products, that tends to happen. :)

The scones were dry. The tarts were soggy and the filling tasted like it came out of can. I ask one of my Muskoka neighbors about it and was told that they moved the operations to a factory bakery in Barrie and freeze all the bakery items. They put a few loaves of scones in the locate bakery's old oven to make it smell like it's baked there not NOTHING is baked there anymore. I'm so saddened by this. If the owner reads this, PLEASE return to the old recipes and bake onsite again.

Don's has been serving up their phenomenal baked goods in Bala for over 60 years, and no one wanted new ownership to change that. This summer, however, Don's is rocking a new, more streamlined look, and a slew of new baked goods -- on top of the much loved staples including scones, eclairs, and butter tarts. But they've added (to name just a few): - Chop Suey bread - Sausage rolls - Boston cream donuts - Bala Bites (small old-fashioned donuts) - Coconut cream pie - Bath buns - Cinnamon crullers - Eccles cakes - Apple canoes - Chocolate babka (the superior babka!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i78azsi7M94) So improving on the near-perfect *can* be done...

The person at the counter (Chiara) was great and very helpful. She said the person on the sandwich bar would make it for me. That staff person totally ignored it and went on to make food for everyone that came after me. I asked for my money back and was told that I would need the physical card to get a refund for my food (I kept the coffee). I didn't have the physical card as I had paid with the scan and pay option. Eventually a man named Mark came over and tried to help. He was very pleasant and did his best. I told him that I just wanted a refund and couldn't wait as I had to get back to work. Mark explained again about the card, so I said that I'd just take new food and go. Mark said that was fine, and they'd make it a priority so I didn't have to wait. I was good with this. Then a staff comes over and says it's going to be 9 minutes for wedges. Mark offered my hash browns, but I was so frustrated at this point that I just left. No refund, no food - and still late getting back to work. Mark and Chiara did their best. The sandwich bar person should be fired. Horrible customer service. I won't be going back to this Tim Hortons. Not worth the aggravation.

Bitter and nasty. Also it seems the staff doesn't even know what's on their own menu. Wife tried to order wedges / fries and they didn't know what that was. Also wife tried to get a drink with alternative milk and they claim they don't do that (on a subsequent visit they have alt milks listed on their menu).

Now it's a good time to pick strawberries, raspberry, blueberries, peas, and corns. There are wagons to take ppl from one field to another. We got off at the strawberry field, but we don't really into the strawberry, so just took a look; then we got to the raspberry field, they looked good, but we barely eat raspberry; then we went to the Blueberry field, our destination was here. We saw another side of the field was having big blueberries, but they didn't open that side to us. And they said it was noon already, most of the big ones had been picked. I tasted a few, they were sort of big, but soured. We moved to other sides, but still the same. When we went home, most of them we made smoothies with honey. We also went to the peas field, not too many people. The peas were so sweet that we could eat them raw. But we went home to boil them with the skin, the skin was hard to eat, it was not snow peas, and too expensive when weighed with the skin. Good experience for the kids. They were happy.
