On one hand, I'm immensely grateful that the former Depot is gaining recognition as a historic site. The museum only tells a fraction of the area's rich history but still contains enough artifacts to spark plenty of discussion. The independent audio tour -- via tablet -- is a great feature. On the other hand, it still feels strange to focus so intensely on the white deer population. The tourist-y sheen is somewhat off-putting if you're from the area; you'll see what I mean if you browse the gift shop. That being said, I hope the park continues to maintain and protect the site. It's a vital part of local and national history.

You know it starts in the heart of College town right next to the theater in the law school and immediately spectacular fall with the stone arch Bridge. It's gorgeous the Falls continue Cascade down several bends and turns the trail comes right up to the Falls just pouring right next to you as your Spencer Street. There's another arch bridge and the final cascading Falls at the bottom. It was pretty nice. It was. It's kind of picture box by a nice little cherry blossom or I think maybe an apple rose blossom or something but well worth it on this nice spring day to check out now that it's open if you go to Cornell, definitely check it out. It's well worth it and it drops you off right at commons. So if you're taking the street to the commons from college town, considered this and said it's great.

I read some reviews about this trail before going and everything was accurate and amazing. It's a simple enough trail that is just over 1 mile out and back. Dogs are allowed and there are several steps. It's very peaceful and beautiful. There is a waterfall around every corner!

There is a main club house, a few "for rent" garages and a few car condos. They offer track driving experiences, track driving classes, speed & skill camps, club racing and track days. They offer several membership plans and if you are a local car enthusiast, you can get unlimited access. We were there for a driving course taught by Ross Bentley. We enjoyed the course and it sharpened our driving skills on a technical track. They also host various activities (non auto) throughout the year. The owner Todd is very personable and run the facilities very well. Look them up if you are in the area.

TRACK TIME WITH ROSS BENTLEY! 5.0…read more Long story short, this track is amazingly FUN! Reading track maps don't always translate elevation properly. Coming from Calinfornia, I was thinking that Pineview Run would be more similar to other 2-mile tracks like Buttonwillow in Southern California or Thunderhill West in Northern California. I was wrong. The long story... When we heard that the very popular and highly respected Ross Bentley, former racer, coach, PodCaster and author was hosting a driving event, "Speed Secrets Academy" for advanced track drivers, my husband and I signed up without hesitation. If you can imagine a classroom filled with racing, track, data analysis, SIM, PodCast and book writing talent, this was that classroom thanks to @rossbentley @gofasternow (Peter Krause), @thatsamsmith Mario, Ian and Josh. Rental cars were available for this event, but we wanted to track our Porsche GT4 RS. We had her transported cross country from California to New York. This is how excited we were to learn from Ross and experience Pineview Run, in pure petrol fashion. My husband and I shared our car, with he in the 3-day class (data included) and me in the 2-day class. The track: Pineview Run is privately owned and is one of the most fun tracks on which I've driven. In the short 2 miles, it had plenty of elevation (which I absolutely loved), hair pin turns, sweepers and two straightaways, one ending in a steep blind hill! The luscious greenery added to the beauty of this track and allowed for so many visual references. Just don't stare at the blue barn or horses or else you'll drive straight off track. The facilities are well kept and have a lot of natural exposed wood. We rented a garage which looked more like a beautiful horse stable! There are so many great takeaway memories from our time in Syracuse. A few highlights of the Academy was being given a big thumbs up from Peter Krause, meeting our racing idol Ross Bentley and two other amazing lady drivers @vickiwilsonfischer, hanging out with Ian (while getting some SIM time in) and earning the "Be Careful What You Ask For" award.
