The beach area is enclosed into a square, guarded by at least three lifeguards. There are plenty of parking spaces, a food concession and restrooms in the main building and plenty of restrooms and showers behind this front building. The weather cooperated and it was perfect. ​

As we visited on a holiday it was very busy, but we arrived early and had no trouble finding parking. The park had staff on hand to direct traffic and assist in finding a spot.

Lovely beach at the end of Sodus Point, the park has a large parking lot, a big covered picnic…read moregazebo and a playground. A nice walk on the pier out to the lighthouse though an awful lot of small flying insects. Of course, the lighthouse is accessible from here too. These two lighthouses protect Sodus Bay, the largest natural harbor on Lake Ontario. This light was first established in 1858, the new lighthouse was replaced in 1938 with this 51 foot tall structure. The view over Lake Ontario is fabulous, especially this early in the morning. I can't believe I'm the first to review this place!…read more We have been excited to check out the new Motion Junction playground since before it was finished and open to the public. We heard that it was supposed to be fully inclusive, the first of its kind. So when we saw the sign for the grand opening ceremony, we knew we were going! The ceremony was really beautiful, and a lot more people attended than I expected. They told us the story of how the idea of this playground came to be, recognized everybody that helped and donated, and informed us that it would be finished in "phases". So it is not yet complete, even though the playground is ready be loved and enjoyed by all! I honestly can not tell you how much I love this playground. The ground is padded with soft, squishy material. (It won't hurt if you fall!) There are sidewalks and ramps everywhere. For kids there are monkey bars, balance platforms, bridges, slides, musical instruments, fully accessible swings, zip lines, and more! There is a giant smiley face "meet up" spot. There are buddy benches for kids that want to find a friend. There is a communication station for the nonverbal. Umbrellas and benches are strewn throughout, and heartwarming inclusive signs made by kids, for kids are hung around the outer fence. In the future they plan to put a building down with a proper entrance that has bathrooms and a concession stand. A friend of mine that uses a wheelchair was excited that she could finally swing with her daughter. This place is magic, guys. And it's not even finished. Super highly recommend a visit!
