In a routine exam, he found a very serious issue with my friend and expedited the care that she needed with other doctors. I feel like this went above and beyond normal care so I was sold on using him as my eye doctor even before the visit. The staff at the office was quick and thorough with my initial paperwork. During my examination, the doctor addressed normal issues of the eye examination and asked in-depth questions to get a better view (no pun intended) of my vision needs. Where I feel like some places I have been in the past have "sold" me new glasses or prescriptions, Dr. Cecchini's approach was the opposite. He addressed the needs at the moment. I feel his attention to detail in the exam is more than what you would expect. A nice selection of frames and acceptance of insurance in this office. I had been in a car accident and having lots of visual issues and was having a ton of vestibular and convergence problems. Because I didn't hit my head in my accident, I figured I was okay, but I wasn't. Dr Rodriguez figured out that I had post concussion syndrome, and helped me find a Vision therapist to help me heal and regain normal eyesight. Since then, he asks me every visit how I am. He has my best interest in mind, and always makes sure that my sight is perfect when I leave. He is extremely friendly and is so personable, which makes my visits enjoyable. I've had some visual changes with aura due to my migraines, but he has squeezed me in to make sure everything is okay. I have diabetes, and every year he carefully examines my eye health, and I get peace of mind knowing my pressure is in a great range! His staff always greet you by name and never push you to buy anything. They are very helpful and compassionate, and their recommendation for a blue light filter coating (prevencia) for my glasses has helped my neurological pain a lot! I've always been a contact lens girl, but because they offered me this lens option last year, I wear my glasses a lot more often because they are so comfortable! They even allow you to bring in your own frames purchased outside of their practice to get lenses put in. I love that I have that option. I highly recommend Optometric Care. It's a comfortable and intimate setting where you are treated much better than the larger chain stores. Dr. Rodriguez truly cares about his patients and will take fantastic care of you!

Today I had a 6 week follow up at their office located in the Surgery Center (next to House of Chen). I was checked in promptly. The waiting room was very large and spacious. I did have a rather lengthy wait today though, my appointment time was 3 PM and I did not see the doctor until four and I didn't get out of there until almost 430. However, I feel that the staff at this practice is much more professional and thorough than the other two eye care providers that I've seen between 2020-23 in Cranberry Township. This is where they do surgeries and have ophthalmology appointments. It gets confusing because the same doctors are also often at their Good Looks Eyewear location for regular optometric appointments.

When the doctor saw me, he was highly energetic and quick with the exam. He also said that there was nothing wrong with my eyes (I have a vitreous detachment), that I do not have astigmatism and said that my previous prescription for contacts was too high. He gave me an -8.50 for both eyes. My left eye is normally a -9.50 and I believe my right is a -9.25. When I put in these contacts at home, I was severely disoriented and my eyes had trouble focusing. I also was getting a major headache, so I took them out. Today, I tried wearing contacts again using my old prescription in my left eye and his prescription in my right. No major issues, but he was convinced my eyes do not have astigmatism and should be at a lower power. Not sure what to say except that he made it seem like every eye doctor from my past was stupid and he was not. He did say "do you want to get a second opinion?" but if you know anything about insurance, you don't get that second opinion without paying for it out of pocket. I'm glad I didn't purchase contacts from him.

I scheduled an appointment since I got vision insurance for the first time, and because I was having trouble seeing while driving in the dark. I felt like my eyes were being strained from constantly being in front of a computer screen. The appointment was very thorough and the doctor and other staff were friendly. I expressed my concerns for having air blown in my eye balls, and getting my pupils dilated. The doctor informed me that he didn't need to do the puff of air in my eyes because he had another way of testing the pressure. I was relieved. Once he put the eye drops in my eyes, he said I had about 15 minutes before things would start to get blurry. The woman at the front helped me look at frames and decide which ones I liked best. I tried on a bunch and decided between my top 3 favorites. I thought they had a good selection of designer frames. At this point my eyes got super blurry from the dilation drops when it was time to pay. I was so embarrassed because I couldn't see anything when I tried to hand the woman my health savings card. We then realized I never activated it. I felt so bad, but I had to ask her to read the numbers off of it for me to call to activate it. She helped ring me up and explained everything as I tried on glasses so there were no surprise charges. I was there for an hour and 15 minutes total, which was much longer than I expected. I had no idea what all an eye appointment entailed. It was very comfortable and clean. The doctor was patient and answered all of my questions. I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and distance to where I live. I can't wait to go pick my first pair of glasses in a few weeks!

I will say that making an appointment is super easy and they even have a telephone prompted call to remind you the day before. That is great service. The staff is also friendly and really helpful. The appointments go by quickly and there has never been a wait time. I like the idea that when I have an appointment it is kept, and kept at the time that I made it. The frames are interesting and always hip. The prices are ok. I will say that on the whole they are a bit more expensive than I would normally like to pay. But I will pay that much for some prescription sunglasses because I drive around so much. Another thing that I like about this Vision Care is that they will give me my prescription and pupilary distance without making a huge stink about it. I pay for my appointment and for my sunglasses so if I want to get glasses cheaper online they allow that. Some other places do not and that is what makes me continue to use Vision Care above anything else. Anyone in the neighborhood should get their eye care here. It is great. Could my eyes have changed in three months? Maybe, but unlikely. A shame...I've gotten glasses there before without a problem. Never again.

One…read morething that did change after two years was that my final exam was initially done by an opthamologist & that changed to an optomotrist after the first two years, but for me that's fine. The thing I appreciate most is that they start appointments on-time & seem to do a thorough job. A vision technician does the preliminary things & then the optomotrist finishes & writes a prescription for glasses. With my insurance, there's no out-of-pocket cost for this exam, but I'm sure that wouldn't be the case for everyone. They also sell/make glasses, which seem pricey, but I feel to be of high quality.

Secondly, I was charged for glasses before even being fitted for them. Lastly, it had been 2.5 weeks since I had my appointment and did not get a call that my glasses were ready.
