We were impressed that the owner and others we met in the location were attentive, knew their business extremely well and offered advice to ensure the work would turn out well. Everything turned out better than I expected and we have found several other items that we will be taking in over the coming weeks. Yet, like most people in Halifax, I can't always afford the exuberant prices of exclusive brands carried by stores like Duggers. The Suitor was the best of both worlds. I was able to find the modern look and style I was looking for, and the pricing was perfect! The store is owned and operated by a Master Tailor who provides custom fittings for anything you buy. I bought a Calvin Klein suit with a french-cuffed Sean John shirt. I didn't like how the shirt looked on me and wanted a more 'slim fit' look. He took my measurements and custom-fitted the shirt within 24 hours. This little hidden gem of a store works mainly on word of mouth and has been for several years now. They can custom make a suit for you in any style you desire. Regardless of your body type, if you like the look of a particular luxury brand (like a Hugo, Canali, or Zegna suit), bring a picture and they'll make a suit for you just like it... but for a fraction of the price!

The saleslady assisting us was very nice and patient. Adam must've tried on at least 2-3 different shirts and more than 5 ties. She was also nice enough to steam the shirt before wrapping it up. They have this cool policy in the store where you can try to put a hole in one mini golf style for $95 off a tie for $2 (and the money goes to charity!). Sadly, both Adam and I missed. But I enjoyed playing a lot! Mini put inside a store! I was surprised no one snubbed us as we did look very ordinary. I think once Adam specifically asked to try on a shirt, they loosened up and realized we were going to buy something. That's when they got friendlier and offered us drinks. But I really only liked the lady who helped us, the rest seemed unbothered and lazy.
