On Friday Feb.27,2026 I ordered a large tuna sandwich which was very good but very sloppily made. More tuna on the wrapping paper than in the bread. I love their tuna sandwich, but I don't like the taste of paper. I won't go back if that is how the staff was taught how to prepare a sandwich. read more

It's sad this isn't a local chain because the deli sandwich I bought here is the best I've had in more than twenty years. It reminds me of this wonderful deli shop that was in downtown Kansas City, which closed years ago. We ordered our sandwiches to go. My husband had some corned beef sandwich, and I had combined ham and pastrami with Swiss. They don't skimp on the meat. What I ordered was small! Still it was very hearty. If anyone is ever in Ft. I tried Marsha's deli for the first time the other day. I was very impressed! Best sandwich I had in a long time. And the service I received was 5 star alone. Today I decided to treat myself and go back for the same sandwich I received the first time. I am now beginning to question my first experience here; not sure which one was the 'normal' for this place. Today I walked in and waited at the counter for several minutes while the workers were standing behind the counter talking. I had to ask them if they were taking orders to get their attention. I ordered the exact same thing. I had to repeat my order and once the order came out it was significantly different than the first time I came. I asked for it toasted or warmed, whatever they do. When my food was delivered to the table she said, " you didn't state if you wanted it warm but since I knew it was a 'French dip' style sandwich I told them to warm it." This was AFTER when I got done ordering and repeating my order she stated that some of the meat in my sandwich tastes bad with Au jue. When I attempted to pick up my sandwich it resembled to have been microwaved (the first time appeared toasted) and the bread was so soggy I had to put napkins below the sandwich to attempt to dry the mushy bread. I am unsure at this point if I will be returning. I will be giving 2 stars instead of just 1 solely based off the first experience I had here. My satisfied experience quickly turned to disappointment which I had not expected. Bummer! ALSO... forgot to mention. They were dead slow and numerous tables where dirty and lobby was just not cleaned. ALSO... be prepared to possibly bottom out your car as the parking lot has holes big enough to swim in. read more

Fantastic hole in the wall! Prices are unbeatable, food was amazing. The building definitely has seen better day and needs some attention, but worth it for the food. The food should get 5 stars! the only reason I give it 4 is just the setting, which isn't bad, just kind of a mom and pop type place. lots of repairs needed but it's clean and the staff were so kind. not sure why anyone would eat at the Subway across the street knowing that Marsha's is here because it's sooo much better! This is the place to eat in Ft. Scott! I had a roast beef sandwich and macaroni salad. I got the medium size sandwich based on recommendation from another customer. Glad I didn't get a large, it would have been way too much food. Excellent! Can't wait to try some of the other delicious sandwiches and sides. Super friendly folks at the window as well. Damn good sandwiches, but make sure you have cash!! In Fort Scott for a baseball tourney and found this place on where else...Yelp! The sandwiches are huge and packed with meat. There are approx 400 sandwich choices (just a guess) so you should find something you like. The ordering process is a little odd...you go tell this lady sitting at a table by the front door what you want and she writes it on a pre-printed sheet of paper on her clipboard. Then you take that piece of paper to the lady sitting behind the register and she rings you up. Whatever works for them. There was no dine-in due to Covid-19, but the "limited" menu was still fairly extensive. We placed our order at the walk-up window and didn't have to wait very long for fully stuffed sandwiches at reasonable prices. Having read other reviews, we ordered the small size. The bread was soft and fresh and the meat (pastrami for him and turkey for me) was juicy and delicious. The picture shows only half my sandwich, which I saved for the next day. Out of all the places I stopped to eat at while on my visit to Fort Scott, this was one of the greatest. Immediately walking in, I noticed that the place had a very nice "home" feel to it. I'm not sure how to explain it, but think of it like how happy small towns are portrayed in movies, that kind of "home". Everyone was smiling and the employees were all very helpful. Looking at the menu, it's got quite an impressive size to it. I ordered Lil' Jeffy's Salami & Swiss sandwich with mayo in small with a drink. Our food got to us pretty quick, too, which is nice. Albeit, it IS a cold sandwich. But, anyway, once I got my sandwich, I was greeted with something I'd heard about Marsha's from a friend, a pretty packed sandwich. The salami was towering for a small size, which I think is great! I took a bite, and man, it was as good as it looked! Everything was just absolutely perfectly made! Overall, I really loved this place! The atmosphere in the restaurant is adorable and just something you don't get back home in Las Vegas, NV.
