They WILL NOT look deeper into your medical issues. They gladly take your money, but will not help you heal from illnesses. I was exposed to the current virus running through and called, begged to be seen just to get antibiotics. My calls were dropped. I walked in for urgent care....no urgent care. My son in law went in with chest pain and was admitted for testing. He was there for 24 hours and never saw the cardiologist! He was told she would be coming and never showed up. He was released and told to get a sleep study and a stress test before she would see him. He will be going to aspirus and I certainly hope a bill will not be coming. Went to Urgent Care Oct 3rd checked in was processed and put in room for 1 hour & 15 minutes. No one showed up. Was only one patient in waiting when arriving. Finally left there was no personnel in any hallways too talk to as well. You could pass in a room and no one would know for hours. Very unacceptable. read more

I have been seen by Dana Diab twice in the ER. Once was due to a DVT in my leg. She flat out told me that it wasn't a DVT. She said it was a cyst or abcess and that the ultrasount scan would show which. The scan showed a DVT. She asked me if the tech had told me. The tech isn't allowed to tell. The second time I saw her was in the ER, again. It was after a head injury. She labeled me as having a headache. I have been off work for over a moth with a CONCUSSION! I left Marshfield Clinic for my care. Unfortunately, they are the closet ER to my work and that is why I was there for these two occassions. I won't be seeing Dana Diab again as long as I'm concious and able to voice my opinion. read more

Do not go here. They are absolutely the worst. They lie when you check in by telling you it will be an urgent care visit but then charge you for an emergency room visit. They run unnecessary tests to run up the bill that you are charged for laboratory services. $1,022 for a strep and miscellaneous tests. When you try to call to discuss the bill they do not have answers and just keep repeating that is just how the system is structured. $1,714 for an urgent care visit for a strep test. Offered to send for review but does not sound helpful as bill is due before review will be completed. read more

I left Marshfield Clinic years ago because no one listens to you. And because of that, I have an ongoing condition I've been dealing with. I received multiple calls these past couple of weeks asking if I wanted to be a part of a survey. The voice message said to call back if I don't want to be a part of it. So i did and I said to be put on the no call list. The person on the phone told me there wasn't any record of me being part of a survey. And to call back tomorrow to be put on the no call list. I have had to take my wife here on several life altering occasions and they have been nothing but unprofessional and difficult to deal with. Impossible to make an account online, critical appointments are +4 months out, ER staff are absolutely horrendous at their job, and they don't run anything through insurance. My wife tore her ACL and it took SIX MONTHS to get a correct diagnosis. Extremely unprofessional, terrible providers, and just an all around awful experience. I recently had an appointment at the Marshfield Clinic because I had my annual sinus infection; I have had these each year for decades. My symptoms were very familiar to me: Pain and pressure in my face, eyes, and forehead; a sore and stuffy nose with discolored mucus; coughing; a sore throat (at the beginning); a fever (at the beginning). We all agreed, "Yes, it is a sinus infection." The provider sent the antibiotic prescription to my pharmacy. Then she said, "Let's run a COVID test, just to rule that out." I tentatively said, "Okay." Had I known that they use the same swab for a battery of other tests that would add up to some $800, I never would have agreed to the COVID test. Now it will take me months to pay for a COVID test I could have self-administered for $30. None of the tests, incidentally, came back positive. We ALL knew it was a sinus infection. read more

My son who goes to college in Stevens Point went to Marshfield Urgent Care. I received a bill with barely anything being covered by insurance. Contacted Marshfield, and they said it was coded for Emergency Room. Therefore this is why the insurance did not cover. The invoice sent to me says under service, URGENT CARE. Marshfield says that they are not making adjustment to billing. Now we either have to pay or maybe hire attorney. Nobody wants to help via phone, and it was a letter that stated they would not make adjustment. I have a Rheumatologist that consistently cancels appointments over and over again. By the time I saw her again it was over a year. In addition, she no longer comes to the clinic location I initially chose that was close to my home. Had a terrible experience with this clinic in Weston, WI Endocrinology. I was being undermedicated for hypothyroidism. Became type 2 diabetic. Went in with severe untreated diabetic symptoms. i had an A1C of 15. Instead of putting me on insulin all they prescribed was Metformin. I suffered greatly for some time. Terrible experience! Dehydration and sleepless nights! Drinking gallons of waters every few hours. Permanently damaged vision. I would recommend going somewhere else for your treatment! read more

Weather it's because they KILLED a mother due to their own negligence or they discharge another person with ongoing infections because "they can't quite figure out what is going on and said patient is probably acting overdramatic". Went to urgent care for severe vertigo and nausea and vomiting Waited in the waiting room for 3 hours before taken back to a room. Waited another 3 hours before I was seen by a doctor. 2 PCA'S (which is another name for CNA) tried to start an IV and were unsuccessful. They sent for another PCA to try and she wasn't going to try. Finally sent for RN and she was successful but didn't hang the IV fluid. Had to remind them to hang IV fliud. No nurse ask me what medication i was taking. I wascin urgant care 8 1/2 hours. When i got home and read the literature they gave me. Worst experience ever. I am being charged for a screening mammography that should be covered 100%. Screening mammography that happens once a year. Shame on you for telling me that you will send the bill back for review while still keeping the bill active. I contacted you before the bill was due, and now you're telling me to pay; otherwise, it will go to collections. What happened to the review? No answer. Shame on you I had to call again to inquire about the review, only to be met with a cold shoulder. If I could give zero stars, that is what I would do. I cannot even figure out where to begin. Maybe it is where the neurology department blew off my daughter, and told her to continue playing sports when she had a raging concussion, and that she would just have to deal with the headaches for the rest of her life as there was nothing they could do. Keep in mind she had missed almost an entire quarter of school because the headaches were so debilitating. Dr. Koehn then continued to tell me "I don't know how to help her." We both walked out in tears. My MIL broke her arm needed surgery transferred to Marshfield location from Minocqua. Her care in both places was very good. However because her rehab is taking place across the state the communication has been sketchy. Needs an X-ray for follow up referred to Ahora health care by Marshfield only to find out the place we were referred to didn't take Security Heath which is owned by Marshfield you would think they would know where to send someone in their network. Nightmare. Had to go to a third party for X-ray. Thought X-ray would be electronically sent to Marshfield but no they sent it snail mail. We are currently waiting (10 days) for the X-ray to be read at Marshfield. They say it has not arrived. The surgeon refuses to accept the summary of the radiologist from the place the X-ray was taken and will not give any decision on what is next for my MIL. So now she continues to pay $180 a day to be in a care facility instead of her home and still has not been okayed to be use her walker. This has been a nightmare for our family trying to schedule care when she does come home. I believe it's all about the $$$. So sad. read more

I went in for a colonoscopy after a positive Cologaurd. Dr. Chapman was my surgeon and she was very nice. It was very hard to get an appointment though. My test results were negative and I was contacted promptly to let me know. I was just informed she's leaving Marshfield Clinic. It will be their loss. read more

When I first moved to the area, Marshfield Clinic was the premier place to go for healthcare. Sadly that is no longer the case. It has turned into a revolving door of residents that move on to other places once their residency is complete. The staff that has stayed on long term most likely couldn't get a better position elsewhere due to incompetence. Case in point - I recently had an appt with a pain management NP specialist that 1) did not actually listen to me, and 2) put erroneous information in my chart!! I have never had gastric bypass surgery, but this twit put that down in my file as the reason for being low on certain nutrients! This is bordering on malpractice! don't go to the pain clinic and ask for help from Dr Gasser because he's gonna treat you like a drug seeker no matter how many times you tell him that's not why your there. He spent more time lecturing me about the pandemic 30 years ago and talking about MRIs from 10years ago then actually paying attention to what I was trying to tell him. He really needs to learn to care about his patients as people otherwise retire if you're that fed up with your job. On top of that he just walked into the office and didn't even introduce himself he didn't verify who I even was and just started talking about shit as soon as he walked in the room. I was there 10 years ago and received two neck injections for degenerative discs and arthritis and didn't look at any recent stats on me after my accident. Didn't feel the need to order X-rays. This was so unreal to me my husband and I still can't believe he acted the way he did. Worst billing practices! They will set you up on an automatic payment plan then cancel it without notice. Then after several months of non payment and the clinic just sending a blanket statement (meaning it doesn't say FINAL notice, or that your automatic payment has stopped) they send you to collections with no notice. Then the billing department is INCREDIBLY rude and not helpful. This is probably why they are in so much financial debt and FAILING as a business and hospital. read more

Type of care, and quality of care were fully ignored. Both the Lbgyn doctor and my primary Dr Hidalgo ignored my concern for a rash. It was crabs and I it from the lbgyn doctor. I told them I did not want to pap smear I wanted to wait for my primary doctor to give it to me. The OBGYN doctor did not listen and kept harassing me and pushing the issue. After infecting me with crabs both doctors claimed all I had was yeast infection. I first went to Sacred Heart and they told me that there. Both I'll be GYN doctor and Dr. Hidalgo did not check me to see what kind of rash I had they argued with me Dr Hildalgo got an attitude with me while coming to the defense of the other doctor and said it was only a yeast infection. Both prescribed me hills and cream for the yeast infection. So I got two prescriptions for it. The doctors there do not know the meaning of, first do no harm. I am suffering and agony while they play God instead of first doing no harm. I'll consider what I'm going to do next. The lbgyn doctor cannot pronounce or spell his name Dr Soyage or Losoyage. Can't believe that my own doctors in the clinic that works for me would do this to me. I don't go to the doctor so they can tell me what's wrong with me I go there so they can investigate first before providing me with a diagnosis followed by a prescription if needed. read more

Marshfield Clinic will turn patients away if they can't pay the entire cost of treatment out of pocket up front at time of appointment, even if the patient has insurance with a copay. If you need X-rays and have an X-ray copay of $80, guess what: you have to pay the full $1200 that the x-rays cost and when the insurance pays the clinic, the clinic will "credit your account for future appointments." (Like you don't even get the money back to pay off whatever credit card you may have put the treatment on.) In addition, it has monopolized healthcare in the area so the next nearest clinic may be hours away. They don't care about your health and wellness; they care only about profits. Disgusting. As a child, I lived in Marshfield and adored the clinic. I moved away many years ago and this is what I hear from family and friends. I used to compare all other healthcare to the Marshfield Clinic because I loved it there so much as a pediatric patient. Now? They're despicable. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I went here to get a wisdom tooth consultation and got hit with a $1,200 bill for watching a video from the 90's on an ipad, then being told 'Okay do you have any questions?' To then having to try to go through the Financial Assistance Program that is an ACTUAL JOKE. The people I've been speaking to for the last 8 months have been extremely rude, truly do not care, and are wasting my time. I sent in my Financial Assistance application in SEPTEMBER 2023 and it's currently APRIL OF 2024. They have cancelled my form multiple times and have NOT TOLD ME; I've only found out when I called and asked for an update. They require the most mundane forms that don't even apply to the financial assistance program and are milking the entire process. I don't think Marshfield can afford to have a Financial Assistance Program, hence why they've been milking this entire process for me for SEVEN MONTHS. I cannot afford my bill + am at a loss. Truly cannot believe how atrocious this experience has been from both the doctors prospective and billing; both terrible groups of people. read more

We went here to establish service and are self-pay. We were horrified to learn after getting our first bill that they offer NO DISCOUNT for self-pay!!! This is wrong and unethical and there's NO TRANSPARENCY about this until after you get a bill.
