I spent 7 days there, sick as a dog and had to have bags of Vancomycin dumped into my body and after I was discharged I had to be on antibiotics for months afterwards and the balance of good flora and fauna in my gut has never been the same since. I've never had a good experience in that hospital, most people went there to die because the care was so bad. Nurses that couldn't even speak proper English and they were White, not foreigners, just illiterate. Incompetence to the nth degree. Never, ever will I ever even step into that building again when I would be sick or not. They should tear the place down it was just that bad.

I delivered my second child here and had the best care. The maternity ward nurses were amazing. Dr…read more Lysy was the most uplifting obgyn I've ever had. I definitely recommend her if your expecting. She practices out of this hospital with Prevea. Buuut don't expect a 5 star meal for your a stay though, however it is decent quality. There's quite a few places that deliver food though, if your not diggin the cafeteria grub. I definitely recommend this hospital

My review is not about the providers or the care, whom I find quite good and reliable. My review…read moreis about the billing practices of this organization. I had a series of unfortunate medical incidents this past year. Although my outstanding balance is not in reality all that large, I reached out to Aspirus billing to establish a payment plan. I make payments every month on time. EXCEPT! New charges are not automatically added to the payment plan that I had established, so I must contact them monthly to have them manually add the new charges to the plan. Without this monthly practice, payments made, even payments made directly to the link attached to the new charge, leave the new charge as an outstanding balance that could potentially become a point of default. As an example of this, I attempted to pay a new charge of $5 by clicking the link directly. The system applied my payment to my old charges after I had already paid my scheduled payment. This left the new charge as an outstanding balance and the only way I could address this was to call the billing department to have the new charge added manually, to my old balance. Also, the established payment date is inexplicably changed at random so when I go on line to make my timely scheduled payment, it shows a past due amount that is owed. For example, my payment is scheduled for the 19th of each month. On the 18th of this month, it was already posted as PAST DUE! The billing department had no explanation for this on the multiple occasions I have discussed this with them. It is as if this agency is LOOKING for ways to make patients appear to default on bills. I spoke with a nurse who recently had a baby and did not know that through Aspirus, additional charges were not automatically added to her agreed payment plan. I am not alone in this. I feel this billing system is intentionally difficult to navigate. Aspirus needs to change their practices. Legislation may need to be written for this to be mandated because I have brought this to their attention on more than one occasion with the same unethical practices being repeated. From Wausau, not CA
