This is a review of the donation process for Martha's Village. I am moving out of the area and wanted to donate some large items that are in very good shape but that I'm just unable to move myself due to distance (sofas, a bed, side and end tables, coffee table, never-used clothing, etc.). I called 2 other thrift / donation stores in the area first, just out of habit since I'd donated to them before many times. Both gave me a bit of a runaround ... one telling me I'd have to wait over a month and that I should call back if they were big items; the other telling me that I would have to pay $150 if I wanted to donate. It was pretty insulting. If I'm donating excellent quality items (including relatively new pieces from Pottery Barn and West Elm), I shouldn't have to pay a few hundred dollars to donate my goods. I called Martha's Village after talking to a friend about my dilemma. I should've called Martha's from the beginning. The process was quick. They asked me to snap a few photos of my items & said they'd send a truck the following week for free. The truck arrived at exactly the time it was scheduled, and the moving crew was extremely friendly, very careful with the items, did not scratch or hit a single wall in my home, and were very professional, complete with mask-wearing due to the covid-19 pandemic. They gave me a donation form, and everything was done within a few minutes. I was extremely impressed and would highly recommend people donate to Martha's Village in the future. Front face parking and with a wheel of fortune for fun daily discounts. Lots of random furniture to a entire wall full of books. Staff is fast and warm. No public restrooms and not much h AC. It is an indie ma n pa operation and the prices are to die for. It is riverside best kept secret. I found garden tiki totems to vintage 8p' sweaters. Price's are as cheap as it gets but you must dig out the treasures. Good luck and Martha offers the locals with jobs. I found store smelling clean and organized. Everything is over priced.. to expensive! . I love thrifting and this store is almost as expensive as Goodwill . The only reason I gave it one star is because plenty parking in front of store . read more

Devotions here are for a good cause. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Getting help on the phone to make a delivery or get a pick up was difficult. They didn't return the calls. They said they have been having phone problems. read more

I love me a good vintage store. I can't say this one had rock my socks off great finds, but I will tell you that I found some great little dresses that are perfect for funky photo shoots for no more than a couple bucks each. As a side note, it's located in Indio within walking distance of 2 other thrift shops with similar quality of goods and equally cheap prices. read more

I used to shop here frequently when I worked for the USDA in Indio. It is quite the "treasure" hunt. I have found vintage dishware, glass, and some valuable paintings, and prints. I picked up 2 original water colors by French painter Stephane Wrobel for $8 a piece and were appraised at approximately between $200-$300. I kept it because I like Paris street scenes. I've bought new furniture from them and various other items. It's nice knowing that it's all going to a good cause. The staff has always been so personable and friendly with me. You ever know what you will find here if you don't mind looking through things. read more

Martha's Village Store is one of the thrift shops that I hit up while in the desert. A little cluttered but that just means more hunting is needed. Prices are reasonable. The clothing selection is hit or miss. Nothing consistent. Furniture... I have to say that they do have a good selection of vintage furniture pieces here sans the prices you may pay for in other boutique like vintage furniture shops. They have an insane record selection here as well. They are located near a funeral home and next to a barber shop that used to be a floral store. Just a across the way is another thrift shop. Southwest Community thrift shop. They as well have a good selection.. read more

Visited the place after maybe a year or so and it looks like they have more of a selection. It's a hit or miss but you can find some pretty cool things for reasonable prices. read more
