I really didn't stop to shop here, but rather drop off a couple of shirts to donate. Clear signage outside the building indicated the donation center; however, there were no bins nor anything else indicating it was a drop off station. Upon going inside I waited at the counter for the cashier so I could be directed to the donation area and they were busy with customers shopping but no one tending to the front. I ended up leaving the two shirts I was donating at the counter and walked out. read more

I am getting into thrifting. Its not really my normal jam, but my niece and friend are exposing me to it. This location was enroute to an event and my gf decided to stop by and take a look. She says this one is one of her favorites because you can find "gems" here. She found a "hobo" purse which is real leather and great quality, along with some jewelry and collectable items. This was a great treasure hunt for her and she was happy. The selections are limited , but it was easy to navigate , organized and not overwhelming where some places can be, which triggers me and I get overwhelmed. They closed our local DHS store and you have to drive 30 minutes for lower quality stuff than they used to have.

I love me a good thrift shop. And finding one here and there is always a good thing. It's like treasure hunting not knowing what your looking for but hoping it's good. Just be prepared to scale through the racks. The store was good. Items were placed in the appropriate location. This store wasn't that big so selections were limited but plenty of it. Plenty of homeware and clothes. Furniture was a little limited. They did have an amazing armoire but was already sold. I don't know what days they normally have new delivery. Or how often people donate items. If your into hunting and looking for fun one of a kind piece or vintage items. This place was great. It's fun finding things that no one else would have. Mix old with new, vintage with moder. Your style is your fashion. read more

Though it's a small store, they had decent selection of furniture, prices vary, some pieces that were smaller, were oddly more pricey than say for example a big humongous china cabinet or Armoire. But if I have the money, next time I'm getting something big. I didn't really look at clothing, it seemed kinda small. So I ended up with a nice rustic wooden night stand for a steal, because the drawer was broken and front wrought iron decor on one side was missing. That was nothing compared to the craftsmanship of this fine piece. Plus my hubbys son is a carpenter, so problem solved. read more

We were doing a little family reunion at a friend's airbnb. Every time I am in Palm Desert, I make it a point to visit as many Angel View stores as I can. I never seem to leave empty handed. I have found some very good quality designer clothing over the years. I went to visit a friend the other day and she said, I really like your dress. Don't tell me, you got it at the thrift store. Came in here about a half hour before closing. The employees were nice and took care of us quickly. Store wasn't too claustrophobic like some places. Prices are not too bad but some shirts you could almost buy brand new at some stores. read more

I wish I could get out this way more often. Angel View in Cat City is by far the best thrift store I've been to (aside from save more thrift in Hawaiian Gardens, Ca) bargain pricing, good stock of home goods that fit my style. I wish the clothes were more dated. The cashier could have been friendly or at least cordial, but she wasn't. she made me feel prejudged on my ethnicity. Seriously. I like almost all Angel View stores but the vibes of this one are just a bit off. The clothing is well organized and there's a great selection as expected. The workers were just a little pushy the day I was there and that was a bit of a turn off. It could have just been a off day, but it was a bit of a bummer. read more

I was in the Palm Desert location on Friday, September 1. I had found numerous items I intended to buy. I was carrying a heavy crystal box as well as a large metal cross. I asked if I could set the items down on the counter as they were heavy. I was told no. I could put them in a small basket. The problem it the cross didn't fit in the basket and I am unable to carry heavy things. There were a lot of crosses and I had intended to buy a cross for each of my grandchildren as well as other items. The man was rude. I was upset and angry that they would assist me. I set the basket on the counter and left. They lost a very large sale. The Yucca Valley store has always been excellent. This store I always say I won't return to. Now I won't. read more

One of the best thrift stores that I have visited hands down. I am from the Rancho Cucamonga area and I visited Palm Springs this weekend and had the pleasure of shopping at Angel View Resale. They had wonderful items for sale and their prices were great. I found a large gold planter that I had been looking for a while. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My friends and I will definitely be returning as we are only about an hour away. read more

This was my first time using the pickup service. I have donated in-store for many years but the items I had were large. The staff was so friendly & professional. They called me back the same day I left a message & scheduling was convenient. They sent me an email confirming my pickup date/time & followed up the day before. The two men who came to pick up were so nice & actually seemed to be happy to be working for Angel View. Friendly, courteous & professional. I don't leave many comments on Yelp but I heard such a good experience with Angel View from the time I called to schedule to the pick up, I just had to let Angel View & others what a great staff they have. read more

Yesterday I took about 4or 5 boxes of books and about four boxes of CDs to Angel view in Palm Desert along with some clothing. I asked the man at the back gate to help me unload my trunk and he complained that I knocked over his cone. He then proceeded to take the CDs out of the trunk and throw them on the ground. I had called before hand to ask if someone could help me unload and they said yes. He then proceeded to say why don't I help and things could get done a lot faster. The reason I wanted help was I was unable to unload the trunk myself. I asked him if we were on a train schedule that had to be met. Very very poor customer service. All the same items are the same price. All tops $6.99. All jeans $7.99, for example. Plus, not organized by sizes or colors. The staff is more interested in getting dimes and nickels from the armored car guy than waiting on the customers. Probably won't come back. Mostly clothes. read more

I love thrifting, so it's usually the part of any vacation to check out local thrift stores. Overall, this one is well organized, with more quality items per capita than an ordinary thrift store. Prices were a little higher than norm, but merchandise a little better quality overall so it would t keep me from returning. If I lived here I would check back often. The service was a bit chilly and the way they treated the customers (not just us) seemed like this is the norm... there was almost a disdain for people looking for a bargain treasure at a thrift store (ironic, eh?) . read more

I was 2 days late on returning an item that I don't even know if it worked. It was a hands-down no return policy they didn't want to hear it. I have been shopping at Angel View for years until they started asking for "donations" or to "round up" my sale. First of all, my purchase is a donation. What really annoys me is the staff there discriminates who they ask for that additional donation. I've seen this over and over where the white women/men get asked and the hispanic and black families do not. I mean seriously! I've had enough of this bullshit. Plus, their prices are high. Go to Revivals. Better quality, cheaper prices and a wonderful all volunteer staff. read more

Very large thrift store organized and pretty clean. Didn't like the the outside are. Items are exposed to the element's and it was raining on the day I went last. My only dislike is items are way over priced especially when it comes to clothing that is very tattered and worn. Staff was nice. read more

I am generous with my second star because it seems to be a little more common these days for thrift stores to be VERY over-priced! Many shoes that are USED have price tags that are more expensive than the same brands new or on sale items. For example: Guess shoes, obviously worn and used.... $36. I could find the same brand new Guess shoes, IN the Guess store on sale for $30. Other items are very overpriced! It is not a thrift store. To gouge people when items are donated to you seems morally wrong, to me. read more

The best place to go for bargains. They have several locations across the desert and generally have a good selection and the most affordable pricing. Revivals is the place to go for some of the swanker furniture items but the prices are a little on the high side by comparison. read more

First time here. Parking in back. Broken window and odds and ends in parking lot make it look worse than it is. Inside, some neat things as all thrift shops can otentially have. I love Angel View Thrift Marts. This location is pretty small and the selection isn't as great as others. But that said, I stopped in because I needed a specific item (a few small plates that are dishwasher- and microwave-safe) and found exactly that. I walked out with three matching plates (just what I needed for a project) at 50 cents each. read more

Kind of expensive on clothing for a thrift store, but after searching through most of the racks I found some decently priced treasures, especially by taking advantage of the color of the day tags which were 50% off. The racks are very organized and not overpacked like Goodwill. I would definitely recommend this location for clothing but allot enough time for a thorough search. People working there were super friendly! read more

I think this was the first Angel View thrift shop? I usually have better luck here, than downtown Palm Springs. Gotta love that campy, mid-century barn motif. I've been coming here for years, before the fancy City Hall, and the Mary Pickford theatre, across the highway. Back then this was a rather ratty area, lots of boarded-up bldgs. You could sometimes see tumble weed blowing across the empty, dusty lots. Like all thrift shops it's hit or miss. Have you burned incense, and said a prayer in front of your resale idol? OK furniture, art work, houewares and appliances. Sometimes good clothing. I remember once, leaving my tuxedo pants back-up in LA, for the Film Festival gala. Thought I'd have to rent, or buy some for mucho $$$$. Found a perfect pair here, perfect size, even the same texture as my jacket for $10 bucks! This will be submitted as one of the miracles required for Frank Sinatra's sainthood! The other one involved Absolut vodka, but I can't mention that here. read more

When a store just randomly hangs clothes for men in a random order with no semblance to trying to group common sizes and expect customers to go thru literally hundreds of pairs of pants, shirts etc trying to find a size is just ridicululous. Why would it be so hard to group by size?? You may save some money but there are much better organized thrift stores around and Angel View would do more business if they actually took the time to help organize their merchandise. read more
