Steve Fisher is the worst lawyer I've even encountered. His team is lazy, over priced, and should not be practicing law. He charged me $12,000 for gaining absolutely nothing he said he could. This is the worst attorneys office ever! I filed bankruptcy, but the one that pays my debts off. My car was included in this payment. I lost my job and got really really sick in Arkansas, almost died, and then after a death in my family I had to move out of state. Well, one day I get a notice that my car was being reposessed due to those months when I had no money ( i did send what I could) and when I moved out of state. I called the attorneys office of Jack and Holly Martin to plead with them to help me. I was a single mom and needed my car. The attorney told me there was nothing he could do.,WOW.. Do not go to them, they take your money and offer to help and then turn their backs on you. read more

Recently acquire Steven Fisher as my attorney for a divorce and order of protection. In the initial meeting Steven Fisher and his legal case manager Sue Ann Teramura excelled at giving themselves a pat on the back for how great of an attorney Steven supposedly is. Moving forward, when the court date finally arrived Steven arrived 45 Minutes after court began. Upon arrival would be his first attempt at building my case for me to receive some sort of child visitation for my infant son who was taken from Arkansas to Texas. After getting supervised visitation 5 hours from my home as the agreement Steven and my ex wife's attorney came to agreement on. At this point I have paid Martin Attorney's LLC over 3000$. After around 1 and 1/2 months of minimal contact from Steven and only time of contact was in email form and really all he did was act a messenger boy for my ex wife's demands. At this point I've spent 4800, that's 1800 dollars to file paper work and send emails (50$ per email) Steven is either very lazy and doesn't take his clients seriously or maybe I am completely oblivious to how lawyers do their work, but I felt I wasn't treated the way a client who is shelling out thousands of dollars should be treated. Save yourself the trouble and find someone who is willing to actually put themselves in your shoes and help you. Bottom line, if you want an ill prepared, unhealthy, Non motivated Attorney. Steven Fisher is your guy. read more

I never did meet the attorney that was representing me. Never once did they attorney meet with me introduce themselves or take an interest in me. What I did get is we need more money e-mails. They even charged me money to have them removed off the case. Clearly all about the money and not about helping people. I felt used by them. So, if you are going through a divorce, or anything else. Five years ago we had to declare bankruptcy due to some medical bills that were not covered by insurance. We went to Martin Law Firm for help and to start the process. They have been extremely helpful during this whole event. Josh Smith was excellent to work with and was always available to help us and to answer all of my questions. As difficult as it was to deal with a horrible accident that caused such outrageous medical bills, the Martin Law Firm helped us navigate the time period of the bankruptcy and find closure on this episode. What started out as a great experience, has quickly went downhill since converting my case to chapter 7. I turned in my list of creditors 6 weeks before my court date, but I found out at court that the information was not updated. They sent them back to me, saying I needed to call and get account numbers and amounts. I was able to get all of the information, except for 1 creditor. I sent it back to them about a week after court. Now, almost a month later, they are asking me for the list again, saying that the deadline has almost passed and it needs to be updated. This will be the 3rd time I have sent them the information that they requested. Everytime I try to call to talk to one of the individuals handling my case, I am sent to voicemail and calls are not returned. Why is it so hard for me to do my part, but the people that I am paying, are unable to do their part? read more

All in all, I paid Stephen Fisher around $3,000 before deciding to go with another attorney. First, he failed to get divorce paperwork filed before my wife did (we filed on the same day), which meant having to be on the defensive the rest of the time. Then it became an issue of paying his substantial fees and travel expenses because of this (I dismissed him from the case before it came to that). I paid $25-50 for every email I sent him, and at least a couple of them went unresponded to. His case manager was rude and disrespectful, and he was also quite disrespectful on his last phone call to me (regarding my dismissal email), and I got charged $82 for that. I spent weeks just sitting with no progress on the divorce and no updates. It was a terrible experience. The attorney I hired to finish the divorce charged a flat fee (no nickel-and-dime surprises), and has already taken action to expedite the process. I do not recommend this attorney or his office. read more

I called up wanting information on all the different areas they work in. The receptionist was very rude and would not let me talk with anyone, except the other receptionist. I tried to tell her what our needs were. She was very dismissive. When I said goodbye to hang up, her voice was very snotty and short with me. I will never bring any of our cases here! I had Stephen Fisher as my attorney. I paid through the nose and got next to nothing. I missed court dates, was charged for services that were not done, and if I had to call or email to request documents pertinent to my case, they failed to send them, although they made sure they charged me for reading my email request. I paid nearly $10,000 to these shysters, only to lose my car, my home, and my business. My ex, on the other hand paid his attorney less than $2,000 and won it all. Gross negligence all around. My Attourney Stephen Fisher and his aide Yadira handled my case horribly and I feel I have been treated in a very unchristian and inhumane manner.I was vulnerable and escaped a violent marriage..as soon as I entered the office I was persuaded to sign an agreement that was like a blank check.They did not respond to my emails for 6 months and I had to get a legal advocate to help me.I begged him to deal with my case in a timely manner but this fell on death ears.I was suffering from ovarian cysts and anaemia and was low on income.I also told him I was moving out of state and needed things done in a timely manner.The stress of the time he was taking made my physical condition worse.He ran over time with a motion and I did not get my divorce for one year.There were no complications as I was not fighting over children or property. I now have a bill for over $6,000.He has a complaint against him and if I had read all the legal reviews I would never have hired him.I strongly stress do not use this Attourney.Especially if you are vulnerable, a vulnerable woman or a foreigner,they will try to extract as much money as possible. In my opinion they operate little better than con men!It felt like being in an abusive relationship all over again. read more

I did not feel that Mr Stephen Fisher or his legal assistant represented me well in my divorce case.I was a foreigner and had to leave my marriage for domestic violence.It seemed that he wanted to extract as much money as possible and he over ran on an occassion.He did not notify me of things he was doing and I had to get my advocate involved from the domestic violence shelter before I was listened to. Now he refuses to mail on my divorce settlement check and ignores emails I have written.It took me a year to get my divorce and I got it a day before i had to move out of state which was extremely stressful as I explained I was physically unwell having been diagnosed with ovarian cysts.I do not believe Mr Stephen Fisher or his para legal represent this law firm well.I am only giving this attorneys one star because I have to for this site.I strongly recommend that you do not use this attorney. read more
