I am typing this review as a warning to other potential customers of this business. Our family was…read morerecently referred to Bottom Line Tax Service by our previous Tax Preparer who was retiring. We made our appointment and everything seemed to be fine. We arrived for our scheduled appointment, discussed our tax information and I asked the preparer what her rates were. Her reply to us was "Well, that all depends on how long your taxes take to prepare". I stated that we needed to have some kind of idea so we know what to expect. Her reply to us was "what did your last preparer charge you?" We begrudgingly gave her that information and she stated that it wouldn't be as high as your previous preparer. Still not having a solid rate we decided to not push the issue any further since she already had all of our info. A few weeks later we returned to pick up our paperwork and make payment. We were told it would be $445.00 for my wife and I and $165.00 for my 17 year old son. $610.00 for 3 people with minimal tax preparation needed. I had checked with a few other Tax services prior to this second appointment and all quoted me around $250.00 for 3 of us due to our minimal preparation. I advised Bottom Line Tax Service that this price was absolutely ridiculously high and that I was not happy with this number. She then asked us what we thought the number should be and we advised her of the aforementioned info from other preparers in the area. I asked her why the number was so high and Bottom Line Tax Service advised me "I have to charge a certain amount to pay for the customer acquisition from your previous preparer." She made the adjustment to $250.00 for mine and my wife's and kept my son's at $165.00. We have yet to receive our tax return! We E Filed! It has been two months since our first appointment. We called to see what the problem was and Bottom Line Tax Service Claims she "mistakenly omitted" the last digit of our bank routing number. I contacted my previous preparer and he stated to me that another of his previous customers has complained about the same issue. Bottom Line Tax Service could not even tell me what my next steps were to get this resolved. Please be aware of this business. If you chose to use them anyway, insist on a quote before using their service.

I questioned them for years on the inventory issues and finally fired them a year ago when they suggested I use someone else's sales tax ID to order wholesale items for my business. I had an independent accountant review my taxes and it turns out that they had in fact counted my inventory correctly every year and in 2021 alone I am due an amended return of $22,000 minus a $12,000 disallowance from the IRS. We still have to do 2022-2023 amended returns. This company has put me at risk of having to file for personal and professional bankruptcy and losing my health insurance as a disabled person. I cannot express how horrifying this experience has been and how they have screwed up my life and finances for the foreseeable future. Avoid at all costs If you are a current small business client with inventory products AND material components, get a second opinion, because they may have screwed you over too.

The services they offer are very expensive but cover various areas. I paid them a large amount of money for a specific tax request just to be told that my payment dud not include the service I requested. That was infuriating. These people know their field, I'm sure, but their communication is just horrible. They feel like a company that is stretched too thin to provide any level of competent customer service whatsoever. I've been using HR block in North Wales to do my taxes for years and there hasn't been a problem…read more this year a few months after sending it all in i got a letter back from the state that they were missing documents. Well they sent me a letter with a code number and when I looked it up that's what it said. Naturally I panicked. The local office I use is closed for the season and this was the one they said people had to go to. I showed up with visions of self important nincompoops and was raring for a "you didn't do the job properly" sort of chat. So imagine my surprise when I was greeted, i explained I'd had a letter form the state, the lady too k one look at the code and declared "the state lost it again" she didn't need to look up the code like I had. She saw it and knew what it meant. It was a very quick in and out she assured me they would just resend it in and it would take no time at all. I'd come in all set to be outraged and it was handled quite easily. I finally expressed what I'd expected and declared "Could you please live down to my expectations or I'm going to be disappointed!" Which got the laugh it implied. Yes I went in the off season but the bottom line I found them professional and efficient. I spent more time looking for a parking space.

What a horrible experience. Which is false. When I went to pick up my personal paperwork, the font desk person, Beth, hassled me about my respirator. I'm ill and she demanded me to take off my mask during COVID 19 so she could compare my ID to my face. Beth chuckled at me as if my health issues were invalid and began arguing with me about my mask. Governor Wolf issued all current essential businesses in operation are required to wear masks and gloves, this facilities workers were not wearing either. While I was in my car writing this review, Beth came out to my vehicle and started hitting my window with rings on her fingers, demanding my personal tax papers. I have until July 15th to pay my taxes and emails from their office stating that but Beth demanded payment for services I didn't agree to. On top of her aggressive behavior, the office also refused to supply a break down of what their charges were for taxes. This office is completely unsympathetic to their clients, unprofessional and incredibly rude. I've been to other H & R Blocks that charged half the amount for the same work and without the behavior. This place is a scam and has terrible service.
