They found pretty much everything was perfect (other than a mistake I had made!) I saw another review about the openly Christian atmosphere. If anything, even if you aren't religious, it should give you some confidence that they will be honest because they believe they answer to Someone higher than the government. We will probably go to Martin's as long as they are still running this business.

It is a very simple process, I make an appointment every year, bring in my documents, they do their thing and I'm out of there in about 30 to 60 minutes (I have a child in college, so many more questions in recent years) with state and federal electronically filed and local ready to be mailed in. This year with covid, they have quickly implemented other options of getting your documents to them. I saw someone criticized their religious nature, however in the 20 years I've been going there, they have been nothing but extremely professional and honest in their work. I am not religious but also not offended easily as I do believe each to their own, they do my taxes, they do an outstanding job, that is why I go there.

Tax day passed and there was zero communication on the status of my taxes. Calls, texts and emails were ignored or pushed aside before this firm stopped responding altogether. I had to contact the IRS to confirm that this firm failed to file my taxes. To this day no apology or explanation has been given. Do not trust this business to handle your taxes.

Real people (real Pennsylvanians) answer the phones and their employees admit when they don't have an immediate answer. Fees are kept at a minimum AND my checking account bore some modest -really modest- monthly interest. I hope that this community bank continues to grow and perhaps fill the rather present viod that was left when Washington Mutual was gobbled up. I've banked with Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Citi, Chase, and ING (and WaMu, boo-hoo). Univest is at the top of the heap, and they right banking culture. I would highly recommend Univest to folks on either coast or somewhere in between.

My dad has a loan with this bank. He recently went into hospice care, and I called them to explain…read morethat he would be a couple of months behind while I arranged for his home care and insurance. I informed them that I would catch up on his payments by next month. They told me that they would not wait for one month and were going to pursue foreclosure immediately. My father is 89, bedridden, and they would rather evict him than give him one more month to catch up on his two payments. This bank lacks humanity, and while they claim to want to help, the only assistance they offer is to give you one week to make the payments. They will not notify you of the consequences of being even one month behind. Moreover, they will completely ignore your calls and emails while you attempt to make the payment. Their only intention is to foreclose on people's homes. Stay away from this bank at all costs or risk losing your home.
