I checked my insurance and America's Best was a covered provider. I took my prescription there and found their prices were much more reasonable. My son also needed glasses and the price for his lenses and frames were very reasonable. The customer service we received from Carin, was exceptional. She was able to give us both a great price and were so helpful explaining all of the options available to us. If you needed glasses, I would definitely recommend America's Best on Lima Road. We were very happy with the service and our new glasses.

When trying contacts (that didn't work and I was unable to see) I was scolded for not wearing them into my appointment. Then, I purchased the highest tier of prescription glasses I could in November of 2022, only for the lenses to have a stress fracture down the middle less than a year later. When going in to have the lens replaced, I was told I didn't purchase a warranty and "What do you want us to do?". I wanted to be able to see out of my glasses. I was never offered a warranty, nor was there any proof that a warranty was offered and I declined. I have a toddler at home and can assure you I would have purchased a warranty if it was offered. I've had other pairs of glasses from other optical stores last years without issue. You will pay hundreds of dollars for low quality lenses that have no warranty associated with them. There are MANY options for optical stores in Fort Wayne, and I will never choose America's Best again. I hope this review saves you from making the same mistake!

They don't have many to pick from for small size for the nose for a guy..size 15, and I could not order any. I even went to look at the kids type too , no help there. I even had my own script...I could order on line and get Ray ban for $159.99 with lens.

Well thats another $55 to the Dr cause you can only pay him in cash or check not my HSA card which I find odd. So I will be going someplace else that will accept my HSA card

In that time, I've gotten glasses from small independent boutiques, big discount retailers, warehouse stores and the big chains in the mall. But my recent experience with Meijer and Janet, the optician, tops them all. Meijer had a nice selection of frames and Janet was just great at helping me find the best pair for me. I have a challenging prescription and, with Janet's help and Meijer's terrific prices, was able to get a nice pair of glasses, with 1.74 high index progressive Zeiss lenses, for about half of what I paid last year from a local optical chain here in Fort Wayne. Staff is super friendly and always willing to go out of their way to help you with any questions or insurance needs you have. They are so accommodating with appointments and glass repair and any mishaps that we may have. They are not only nice but they are personable and like to chat for a few to get to know you better. That friendly demeanor moves to the back offices too. The dr's assistants are so friendly and make sure you're calm and they tell you step by step what is going to happen. The dr is amazing. We love her. She is so sweet, nice and personable. When you need new glasses they usually come in very quickly and it's easy peasy to pick up without making another appointment. I can't stress enough how much we love it here. I def recommend them if you're looking for a new ophthalmologist.
