They were very professional and friendly, explaining and answering all my questions. This earned them my confidence and recommendation.

If you have to have periodic injections in your eye(s), there is none better than Retina Institute…read moreof Indiana. Your experience begins with an amazing staff of friendly, smiling faces. The knowledgeable and well-trained assistants are equally friendly and empathetic. Dr. Salam is a published authority on the subject of ophthalmology and retinal issues. He is very professional and highly skilled. The systems in place in the facility benefit both patients and staff in an efficient manner. I've been a patient for some time. If you have to have this kind of care, I don't think any place else is better. It's atypical of medical facilities. It's excellent from the moment you enter the building. Just my humble opinion. I guess I don't have anything to compare these doctors to because I haven't had a need for retinal…read morespecialists before. My husband had a detached retina, and his eye doctor sent him to Dr. Khan. We were squeezed in on a Friday because time is an issue with a detached retina (I have learned A LOT about this subject since last Friday). We were seen without too much of a wait, and I was so impressed by the professionalism and kindness of Dr. Khan and his entire staff. He performed the surgery that night at Lutheran Hospital - it took about 2 1/2 hours. He then opened the office by himself on Saturday morning to look at my husband's eye. I know we are probably paying out the nose for this (I haven't yet seen a bill), but I am so happy with the way he has treated my husband and how professional he has been.

From the time I walked in I felt warmly welcomed. Alexis was my work up Tech. She was awesome and…read moreso friendly. The doctor was amazing and listen to me 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I have always had a high regard for this practice. However due to their response to an error that…read morethey made which negatively impacted me I have to give the lowest score. The doctors do not always dilate my eyes on each visit. During a visit about two years ago a technician dilated my eyes, without being told to do so by the doctor. Subsequently the doctor then came in and without checking (which suggested she was unaware of the first dilation) dilated my eyes again. Consequently up to a week or more after the visit I had difficulty seeing ( on record I have a 20/20 vision) and have never had this type of reaction to my eyes being dialated before. Since then I have reached out to the practice multiple timesto inform them of what happened both by phone and in person No one has discussed it with me until today they just took information and stated, they were not the one to handle the matter. Not once have they apologized or showed empathy or compassion. Their response- from the front desk to other technicians and all the way up to the administrative office, has been cold, calaculating, solely focused on how their practice appears, and maintiaing its image by staying quiet. Not a single person over the years have said they are sorry. One party did admit that the technician should not have done it without the doctor's order. Today was no different after finally being trasferred to the practice administrator, rather than showing empathy or just apologising, her only response was "we did not make a mistake", despite the fact that doctors there did not always dilate my eyes on each visit, ( again I have 20/20 vision) and despite the fact they have not disagreed with me that a technician is not allowed to make the decision to dilate a patient's eyes and/or administer the dilation medication unless ordered by the doctor. All I wanted was validation of the suffering I experienced because of what they did and a simple apology. I had and have no plans to file a law suit. They are less than 2 miles away from my home but I am scared of having them treat me again. I will NEVER go back. I will find a new provider.
