What started out as great ended up horrible. On July 18 I called martenelli investigators for appt. I spoke with Robin who said that I could come in that day but she had appt at 4 pm. I went and explained everything to her. We spoke for 2 hrs. She initially said it would be $99 but wound up said saying forget it I did not need to pay it. She told me the info I needed to get for her. I called her back next day and gave her info. She asked me to email it her which I did and then get back to her with rest of info. A few days later I got back to her. On Monday and was told she wouldn't be in til later in afternoon. Was told she would call me back but never. Called back 2 days later on wed and she answered saying she couldn't talk now. In a meeting and would call me back which she never did. I called back on Fri and was told she is going out of town and will be out of office all next week. In the meantime she did find 2 people but not the right one I thought and that was the day I seen her in her office. I called her the following Monday and explained to her I was trying to get in touch with her but she never called me back. I then asked her if she was going to work on my case and she said well I guess not and with an attitude. She thought I had an attitude. I said I don't I just want to know why you are not taking case. She kept saying she could not and said she has to because she was in meeting. I called her next day and asked to speak with her when she hesitated for 2 seconds and said that's me. I told her who I was and asked her why she was not taking case. She kept saying I can't and I kept asking why. She then said she couldn't fit it into schedule. I asked her why she did not tell me then. She was getting frustrated because they were all legit questions. She said she hadn't checked her schedule. I said you still had time to get back to me. She then asked if I had the $4900.00 and I told her she quoted me $3500.00. that was because when I was in her office and we were talking I explained to her what I went thru with my daughter and said she wiped me out. She asked how I paid for lawyer at the time. I told her I gave him a small lump sum then paid him off mthly. I then told her what would you say if I told you I had the money. She then reiterated that she can't take case. She also brought up the fact that she gave me free service for the consult. First she just assumed I had no money at all. Do you think I would have went to her with no money? And secondly is that how you treat a person by not getting back to them to tell them she is not taking case? I have NEVER had to write a review like this on Yelp, but as a matter of public service I am writing to warn any innocent potential client to avoid hiring Robin Martinelli Investigations at all costs. Here are a few brief issues: (1) We hired her for the specific purpose or determining if the defendant in a divorce case was hiding any assets from his wife (my sister in law). After a preliminary "free" search during the initial meeting appeared to surface troubling information about the defendant, she asked for a $5,000 retainer. (2) She then presented 300 pages of research, claiming that the defendant was hiding assets and engaged in criminal activity on the dark web. She asserted "100% confidence" in her research to both me and our attorneys. We then paid our lawyers to review the findings who quickly and easily discovered that 100% of the research was done on the WRONG person! She literally did research on the WRONG person. A basic google search was more useful. (3) She also did useless surveillance that was never requested as a means of justifying her fees. We did not request surveillance. We wanted professional research on the defendant's financial behaviors (4) Her oral reports were consistently rambling and off the mark, bordering on incomprehensible (5) After all of this, I (generously) offered for her to keep half of the $5,000 retainer and to return the other half. Bear in mind that she had researched the wrong person, which represents professional negligence in the eyes of the law - my son, a lawyer, is appalled - and yet her only reply has been to "stop emailing her." Regrettably, I will be pursuing her in Court as a next step. And I will not only seek a return of the full $5,000 but will seek damages for the legal fees I wasted. Candidly, it is not really about the money; I am a busy person. Rather, it is now about the principle of disciplining her incompetence and subsequent unprofessional behavior. RUN AWAY.... read more

I call Robin for all my private investigative and process server needs. This case I had just recently involved a war veteran that was also a quadriplegic. He was injured after an incident that occurred at his apartment complex. The incident involved a default in the apartment complex's compliance with safety regulations. Robin helped me to serve 40 witness subpoenas in a time frame of 7 days and take pictures at the scene of the incident and around the complex. She also interviewed and convinced three key witnesses, a police officer and two teachers to come and give their testimony. Her private investigation and due diligence of getting everyone served in a timely manner resulted in a huge win for my client and my firm, with a settlement of 4.3 million! After interviewing the jury on the decision, it was revealed that the testimony of the three key witnesses was the deciding factor that was in favor of the plaintiff, my client. I wasn't a client of hers. My wife hired Martinelli in Georgia to investigate me after I filed for divorce. Martinelli testified at court hearing her investigation results. All I can say is bla bla bla. When the transcript was finished my Lawyer and I started highlighting where we have evidence Martinelli wasn't telling the truth. I retained my own PI to investigate Martinelli not my Wife. The terrible reviews on Yelp just touch the surface of Martinelli Investigations. We have spoken to several what-I-call Martinelli Victims and former employees. I could go on and on about our knowledge of Martinelli. My Lawyer said it best. "Your wife found someone as unethical and crazy as she is". One thing I can advise victims don't bother with the BBB or useless organizations that can't help because of Martinelli's hold harmless contracts. Contact the State Private Investigator License Board and make on-line complaint. They will review her professional conduct and not be hindered by a contract. read more

I first hired Martinelli Investigations 6 years ago when I was going through a tough divorce with my ex wife, who cheated on me. I had an infant with her at the time and my daughter was only 6 months old when I went for full custody. I hired Martinelli in a custody case. I asked her to not go over my budget. She said she wouldn't. She charged more than double on my cc without notifying me. Then her men bungled my case by calling the police for the subject drunk driving. It was too late, she was in her driveway! The subject's attorney used the 911 recording against us in court. It pissed the judge off to think we hired her to try and trap the subject! We lost our case because of Martinelli!! And to think I could have bought a nice car instead!! Don't use Martinelli!!
