The quotes and the neighbors' satisfaction with the companies were similar, but Gator's outstanding customer service really set them apart! The communication was fantastic every step of the process from Diane in the office, Chris the owner, and the super nice crew. We also were impressed that the owner didn't try to get us to widen the driveway until we suggested it ourselves, even though he had thought it would be best if a certain grassy area was filled in with pavement. The crew was so respectful, friendly, polite, and super experienced! Every one of them worked hard to make sure they extended the driveway to the exact spot we wanted, and they were very careful to grade it properly to keep water away from the house as we had requested (since water had been collecting and causing some sinking before). They seemed to take pride in their work and to get a great sense of satisfaction for doing a high-quality job. Since bad weather had postponed the new driveway, the crew even worked the day before Thanksgiving, when many people take the day off. The new driveway is such an improvement and really gives our house curb appeal! We are so glad we chose this company, and we will keep using them to keep our new driveway maintained!

The first time I used them, they came to paint some interior railings, and did a fantastic job, even if they were hard to get a hold of initially. A few weeks later, I contacted them again to come out and do an estimate for me on a good deal of exterior painting and repairs. The estimate was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. The day of, the time span they gave came and went, and no one showed up. I called half an hour past the time frame, and was told that they had no idea where he was, and that they would text me. They texted a while later saying that he wasn't able to make it, and asked to reschedule for Wednesday. I agreed, understanding that these things happen. On Wednesday, I received a text an hour before the allotted time saying that something came up, and that he needed to reschedule for Thursday at the same time. I had a conflict, and asked for either Friday or just to text them pictures of the work to try and do a virtual estimate. They asked for pictures, and I sent several, with detailed instructions for each. I didn't hear anything for the next nine hours, and received a text late at night saying that Friday would be better. That brings us to today, where again no one showed up during the scheduled appointment time, and where again I had to reach out and find that they, again, did not know where he was. I told them there was no need for a fourth rescheduling. If you can get this team to come out and actually do the work, they will probably do a fine job. However, be warned - you might never get to see that for yourself if they treat you they way they have treated me.

Mills responded on a Thursday with a flat fee and offered to come out that Saturday. It turns out that Google Maps lied, and he was about five times as far away as it originally told him. He could have just canceled, but he came out and did the work for what he originally quoted. It's hard to find people who will do that.

Job- clear a flower bed, place weed barrier and mulch. Add sod on outside area of said bed…read more ---Wow! Initially thought the job was great. 5 days later grass was growing through the mulch. Called Nelson and he said that they had ran out of the barrier cloth while doing the job and he went to the store to get more and his helper must have finished without putting the rest of the barrier on. No problem! (I had already paid him) He agreed to come and put more barrier down. He texted me and said he had came by and still no barrier on one whole end of the bed. I texted him and he said that that was all he was going to do. He was done. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. I am now moving the mulch and putting the barrier down myself. I wouldn't recommend them to an enemy.

We scheduled for a week when we were on vacation. I returned Sunday to this pristine driveway. It was immaculate. I walked the whole thing. They trimmed the grass around the edges, moved 2 potted plants that I forgot about and came in very close to the estimate. Shawn stopped back and went over everything in person. I couldn't be more pleased. I was out mowing the yard 2 days later and had a couple stop to check it out saying that they drove past when it was being coated and came back to see the finished product. AFM installed a higher quality shut off valve, rewired 3 control boxes and added 2 zones for better coverage. Previously, I had to have the original installer come at least two to three times a year to fix these same issues. Not no more. So glad I found AFM. One company quoted me $8000 but I paid Wood Contracting $4500. My 700 foot gravel driveway had no repairs since it was built 28 years ago. It was in bad shape. Lots of uneven areas and huge places that would flood and turn into a terrible muddy mess that would last for days every time it rained or snowed. A few years ago a Fedex truck got stuck and my neighbor had to help get him out. I am extremely happy with this repair that only took two days to complete while I was at work.
