This Aldi's location is very much laid out like the one I shop at in RI. Fresh produce is right…read moreinside the door, dairy along the back wall, frozen food along the far wall. Plenty of snack items, pre-made foods, cereals, eggs, milk, meats, cheese, frozen foods, ice cream, water, juice, spices, coffee, etc. It's all here. I personally am not a fan of their brand of bread products - a bit dry, but their chocolate and ice cream - good stuff. I also like their seasonal buys. In winter it may be a blanket, stuffed animal or space heater. in summer it could be a fire pit, lantern or sprinkler toy. What ever it is, when it's gone, it's gone and you probably won't see it again, so check the flyer. The prices at Aldi are usually good. I always try to be aware of what an item generally costs, so I know if I'm getting a good deal. Store brand items are less money, but they also have national brands too. Some of the store brand items, like cheeses and jaffa cakes, are very tasty. Don't be afraid to try them. The Aldi's near me requires you put a quarter in the grocery cart to 'unlock' it. I keep a quarter in my car for this purpose. When you return the cart you get the same quarter back. It's all about saving you money, and if they are not paying someone to gather your carts from the parking lot, that means their overhead is less, and your costs are less. There are also no baggers, and no bags. You can purchase bags from the cashier if you'd like or bring your own. S/he will scan your groceries, and put them back into your cart. Once you pay, there is a shelf along the back wall where you can bag your own groceries, or just dump them into your trunk. Whatever. This may all seem very strange but these small differences are what allows the store the keep prices low. I haven't seen a 'self check out' at any Aldi's I've been to, and didn't notice if this one has one, but I don't think they offer this option. There are usually a couple of workers on the floor if you need help finding something. The store is well lit and clean, aisles are very wide and clearly labled. If you have't stopped in, give it a look. I recommend trying the ice cream.

Maybe I feel that way because the store we had just come from was a full fledged Amish store and this one is reaping the rewards from being in the area. Like the other reviews says, it is a great find in this area. Offering fresh deli meats and cheeses, when there is nothing else around and you don't feel like travelling far to grab a necessity like a meat or cheese. However, unless you are visiting or on vacation I doubt you would make it here anytime soon. It gives vacation vibes, a shop that you would step into to grab a cute souvenir or something to take as a gift. Prices, to me they are steep. But if you are willing to pay, go right ahead. They do have some great things, but a lot of it appears to be mass produced, even the prepackaged items that aren't fresh meat or cheese. It was worth the visit, but you kind of feel like you are in the wrong spot at first. This is part of a working farm, however it also feels like you are pulling into a family's home. The only giveaways that this is a working store is the sign and when you finally approach the door.

In store sub line still sucks and it's still slow, but if you pre-order on the app for pickup it's great 80% of the time now. They did cut the meat portions by like 50% in the last 2 1/2 years, forget things like the extra oil on the side, cut it wrong, forget toppings, skimp on toppings... here and there, but it's better than it was. Sushi: 4.5 stars out of 5. Filling portions have gone down some in the last 2 1/2 years, but quality is still good. It's rare to get old mushy avocado in their sushi now. They always have great new rolls to try. Staff are always friendly working that section too. Pizza: 3 stars out of 5. Staff really like to chit chat with the already snail slow sub station staff and take their sweet time. Skimpy on toppings. Not very good pizza especially in NY where we have amazing pizza all over. Deli: 5 stars Always well stocked with friendly fast staff and great selection. Butcher: 5 stars Always great cuts of meat to make the higher costs more worth it most of the time. Steak cost is out of control though compared to other local places. Always clean with friendly staff. Cheese section: 5 stars really great selection and staff. Shelf stocking staff: 5 stars Always organized, faced, and clean with a good variety. Stocked well 90% of the time and rarely anything out of date or damaged. Parking lot and cart staff: 5 stars It's so clean and debris free. Carts are always orderly as well as restocked quickly. Being able to pick up my (large) bakery order and not leaving someone disappointed at home makes me happy. Had my list of must haves. I meandered through all the departments. Had to bring home the red wine peppered salami. Coming home, opening the cooler, and handing out foodie presents is like Christmas morning. The oohs and aahs were heard at multiple houses. The staff were very helpful finding my treasures. Wegmans trips make traveling for business worth it.

I found it to be quite a good store, with everything you could want: my weird health-food desires like coconut flour and buckwheat groats (that I usually have to visit specialty stores for); pharmacy supplies; lots of pre-made food; diverse international offerings; plenty of organic and pre-cut produce; flowers, etc. Despite it being my first time, I was able to navigate it without too much difficulty. When they were out of green onions, a friendly worker was able to refill the bin quickly for me (and direct me to the spacious, clean bathrooms). They have tons of checkout lines, only a couple were open with humans; and they have lots of self-checkout too. I mean, it's just a grocery store, but it's a pretty good one!

We go to this Martin's several times a year when we visit our family's lake house. This past week…read morewe had some not great experiences I wanted to share in hopes the feedback can help the store. One of the first things we did was approach the deli counter. A tall older man was there, speaking to a woman; It was a personal conversation not related to a deli order. However, it was clear he was too involved in that conversation to help us, so we placed our order at the kiosk. We then went about our shopping. We got a lot of items, it took a long time. We had to restock a house for 6 people for a 5 day/night trip. We returned to the deli to pick up our order after we finished shopping. Another man came over and lectured us for not rigging the bell and telling them we placed an order at the kiosk. He told us, we have to do this because it doesn't tell them or alert them to orders placed. Well, again we couldn't because the man who was there was too invested in a personal conversation to acknowledge us, however he clearly watched us place this order. The new man then began to ask us about or order. It was not that much. 2lbs of two different cheeses and 1lb of pepperoni. Another lady comes over to the deli and the man who's now helping us is completely overwhelmed and flustered by our order. He calls for help and the original man who's ignored us came over. They then began to prepare her order! Seriously, her's ahead of ours which has now been placed for an hour or more. The man who ignored us sliced her cheese then gave it to her and left. The man helping us, then called for him again and asked him to bring out our cheese; he then told us he had to help her so this is why we had to wait. He then continued to make our order. The whole time I'm wondering why they "had to" make her order first? What the point in the other tall older man is? And so on. We checked out, then checked out with our alcohol, then left the store. We went back to the store the following day realizing we forgot to get 6 filet mignon we needed for diner. We went to the meat counter, and were told there are none. We were told we could buy the $6 ones that are pre frozen in the packages, no thanks. We ended up buying a few small items then went to Palumbo's for the meat we needed. It was really disappointing to be ignored several times by the person at the deli, to be lectured as if we did something wrong, then ignored again, as if we didn't matter, etc. We spent more than $500 between our two trips there Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. To the store; Do something to make your kiosk system alert people an order was placed! Also, consider moving the tall older man to another role. He was way too worried about hitting on ladies and carrying personal conversations than he was about filling customer orders, or acknowledging them at all. He was aware we wanted to order and ignored us for that personal conversation, he was also aware we placed an order at the kiosk, he ignored it intentionally for no real reason at all. He never even said hello to us, nothing at all, just completely ignored us. He was aware we were waiting more than an hour when he then helped someone else instead, and so on.
