But don't mistake that warmth and friendliness for weakness. Tony will not tolerate rude and obnoxious people and will take care of them quickly and efficiently. I enjoy popping into the store whenever I have a little item I need to pick up and don't want to deal with the big stores. I was shopping at this little store even before Tony took it over. And boy I'm glad he did. I've known Tony for over 25 years now. Our kids even shared a class in high school together. He and his family are wonderful people who are a delight to interact with. I'm going to be leaving the area and I will miss being able to pop in and say hi to my friends. Hoping he has many more prosperous years ahead. My biggest issue is with the aisles. Almost every time I shop, there are stockers with carts and boxes blocking the way. I understand shelves need to be restocked, but during business hours it should be a given that staff keep the aisles as clear as possible so customers can move around easily. On top of that, there are often promotional displays in the middle of the aisles, making it hard for two carts to pass. The produce section is hit or miss. Sometimes it's fresh and appealing, other times it looks pretty sad. I also question the product placement. For example, I went to grab canned pumpkin. The regular 15-oz cans weren't on the shelf--only the larger size. I took one of those, only to later discover a stack of the 15-oz cans at the front of the aisle. Unless you happen to circle back, you'd miss them entirely. It would make sense to keep some of the smaller cans with the larger ones so shoppers don't have to hunt around.
