I have tried a few chairs and some are better than other although everyone there is skilled and can do most haircuts. Excellent fade. I started going to Marvelous Cuts after moving to Boston in January of 2017. My experience each time has been pretty cool. All the barbers are very chill and cut hair pretty well. I've gotten my hair cut by 4 different barbers and can say that while every barber has their own style, they all have a pretty good handle on what they are doing. I usually pay about $25 for a tapered cut and beard outline. My one issue with this barbershop would be that they never truly adhere to appointments you make. I once booked an appointment for 5pm and didn't get seated until 5:30pm. My barber was cutting someone else's hair so it wasn't a big deal, but I would keep that factor in mind if you are hoping to get somewhere right after your cut. Knowing this, I usually plan to be at the shop for an extra 30 minutes after my cut should end so that it doesn't interfere with other plans. Lastly, customer service at this barbershop is fantastic. It was really refreshing to see that all the employees remained professional because most barbershops I have been to in the past were very disorganized, had inappropriate conversations in the open, and did not always have someone available to answer phone calls or greet you as you walked in. At Marvelous Cuts, there is usually someone available at their front desk to greet you as you walk-in, check you in if you have an appointment, and let you know how far behind in line you'd be if you didn't have an appointment. read more

For anyone who will read this post this maybe the best thing Brockton has going like Disney's Aladdin a diamond in the rough!! In fact legend has it Genie got his bread trimmed over there and named it marvelous !! Every barber is amazing and the head barber Lex ... worth the wait, the dollars and a the use of one wish from Genie for a perfect cut and presto! In all seriousness I'm very thankful for marvelous booking is easy , the receptionists are kind the barbers know when to chat and when to chill... even there aprons are dope and of course the cut is always immaculate. This is one example of how a barbershop should be run. I decided to give it a try because I had little time to go to my regular barber. So I was a walk-in without an appointment and was still greeted with a smile. I sat in a chair within minutes. Mind you, it was early morning, I'm sure they are usually busier in the afternoons. My barber was Alton, young barber, but should be a fine barber with time and experience. The place was clean and comforting. Biggest problem is the parking, Main Street is a not a friendly area. Just moved to Brockton and wanted to find a local place to get my hair cut. I chose it because it is a barbershop that mentioned they cut women's hair so I felt a lot more comfortable going in. I went to Marvelous Cuts from a recommendation. The online appointment system was easy to use to book an appointment with Alex. I was greeted when I walked in and they had a comfortable waiting area. The shop is extremely clean and has a great environment. Once I got in the chair Alex did a great job with my modern haircut request. Alex only used a razor blade to give a razor sharp line up, which was great for my skin. The blend on my burst fade was perfect. I will definitely go back to Marvelous Cuts. read more

I went there yesterday June 18th 2022 to get my son and my fiancés hair done. I got my fiancé the marvelous cut for 100$ 70mins. (He was doing a huge transformation he had super long hair down to his butt and wanted a nice taper) It says it comes with wash,cut,blow, face massage etc... "A marvelous experience". My fiancé and I left and I asked how it went because I didn't stay while he was getting it done and he said alright he just cut it. He didn't get ANYTHING what he was supposed to. They didn't touch his eye brows , barley shaved his mustache, no wash , and the cut wasn't really what he asked for. I'm seriously disappointed. My fiancé use to live in Boston and had an amazing barber so I went searching for a really good one to surprise him for Father's Day that wasn't in Boston because we recently moved to the cape so the drive is kinda long. I wanted him to leave there feeling really good and he just felt like he went to get a 20$ cut. I'll never go here again and I'll just take an extra 30 mins to drive to Boston. read more

I moved back to Massachusetts almost two years ago and haven't been able to find a good barber (in the south shore area) until today! Even on a Sunday, even with people waiting, even with my crazy pink hair, Alex was the only barber working and he made me feel comfortable, paid close attention to what I wanted, and did a beautiful job! I was looking for a new place that's closer to my house to clean up my undercut and get a nice design. It's really nice inside, very clean, and current. My cut is good but the design isn't want I wanted. I was open to suggestions design wise because all of their pictures online were awesome. The barber showed me a design idea and it looked great. When he was done with the line work I asked for a heart in the middle. He didn't speak English very well so the guy next to me told him what I wanted. Instead of a heart I got this weird half moon thing and it looks terrible. Sharp crisp lines on the bottom and a weird half oval in the middle... There was no possible way to fix it so I just paid and left disappointed. I'm going to go to my regular barber tomorrow to see if he can do anything to make it look better because I have plans this weekend and don't want to look stupid. read more

I give one star as it is not possible to give zero. I got referred to the shop by my brother, I called today morning to book an appointment for my husband and they said they were only doing walk-ins today, it being Christmas eve and all. We leave the house right away and drive over (we live 45 minutes away), we get there and we are told to sign up, we do so under the name of the Barber we'd been referred to (Helton). There is a long queue and we are number 13 on the list, there's 8 people ahead of us. I ask the receptionist about the parking situation as I'm not familiar with the area and she says we should move our car to a different location. We leave and say we will be back, we go sit in the car for almost 2 hours, then call back to see if it's almost our turn. The receptionist says there's only one person ahead of us, we tell her we'll be right in. We move the car and go back in. We sit in the waiting area where we can CLEARLY see Helton working on the client before us. He finishes up and goes to the receptionist to ask who's next. I cue my husband to get ready to go get his hair cut. We get to Heltons chair and there is another man with his son getting ready to sit down. I ask Helton what's up and he says the guy was next. I walk up to the receptionist and look at the list, he was number 14 but was trying to skip the line. So they skipped my husband's name and crossed this other guy's name. I ask how that could be right when it clearly shows we were first. Helton tries to tell me he's just gonna take ten minutes on him. I say that's unfair as we had been waiting for more than two hours. When they see I'm not letting it go, they say that the man and his son had been there way before us but forgot to sign in.... I say whatever the case, that's still not fair for us to wait some more for an "error" that wasn't ours. Some other barber next to Helton (I assume the manager) inserts himself in the conversation and says we don't have an option and we'd have to wait. I later learn that the number 14 guy was allowed to skip us coz they know each other. My Husband and opted to leave, 1.5 hours drive to and fro...more than 2 hours of waiting and came back home the same way we'd left. Don't make people feel like it's first come first served and sign in if you are gonna go by how well you know them and not the list. read more
