I went to Woop Woop about a month ago for a pretty decent change. When Joey walked over and I told him my plan he was excited which made me feel great about what I was about to do. It ended up being a very long process but he made sure it didn't feel like it. He took the time to get to know me and it was like hanging out with a good friend. My hair came out amazing and I get compliments everyday about how amazing it looks and I love it of course. Joey had so many suggestions for my hair as well and I can't wait to go back and try something else! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them! Not only is Joey & Tiffany super cool, their shop is beautifully decorated in a funky decor and is very inviting. They are amazingly friendly, educated about hair and the products they sell and service is amazing! I'm looking forward to going back next week for my foil and cut. I have never gotten more insults on my hair than from when I came here (twice, for 2 processes). Okay, so I had an appointment with Joey. I did a lot of research on finding a salon that was good, and of course i came to yelp and this was really close to me and had 5 stars! I had high expectations. The place is cool...But anyways, I didn't really know what I was going in for (like ombre or balayage or whatever) but I had a picture in mind that I showed him and he got really excited. So i just let him do his thing. He led me to believe my hair was going to come out like that, then he added "Even if we cant get it that icy, you can come again" He did a balayage on my hair and it came out super orange which kind of made me disappointed because we were having a conversation and he kept telling me how great of a stylist is and how he takes so many professional classes or whatever. He told me that what he's doing to my hair would cost me 1500 at a professional salon that does only models or whatever. So i mean, yeah i had high expectations! I posted the picture of what my hair ended up looking like...Top was the same color, he left it alone, but the bottom was completely brassy and not the ashy color i wanted. I do remember him saying he would take the brassiness out. He took a picture of it and gave me a lot of compliments to probably hide the bad job...I mean, i would have liked it if it was what I wanted. So he told me next time for sure i would have the color i wanted. Beige blonde. I paid almost 300. For a cut and balayage that was orange. So i made an appointment 3 weeks later and same process i guess. I was just expecting the color, or the truth at least. Is it even possible for me to have this color? Thats what i was thinking. This time, it was yellow. It looked like the color of bleach. I don't know what was wrong. I was just so sad. I hated my hair. He told me if i didn't like it, he had this thing that would wash all that color out and it would go back to normal except he would have the $. So after the second process, I ended up with the picture i posted (w the dog filter). I just dont understand. After all my friends were telling me how i got ripped off from here, I felt pretty bad about my self. I called and the Tiffany answered and I told her about what joey said and she acted oblivious. She acted like she didnt understand. I told her i'd call her back and that was my last encounter with woop woop. Here i am, a year later and finally have the hair I want. I went to a salon in saugus and had 2 processes done and she was astonished I had to even pay for what woop woop did to me. Woop woop cost me about 600.... I just wasn't happy at all. It's pretty messed up how they tried to to act like they gave me what i wanted, never addressed the issue or the fact that they lied to me. I was told the second process would be IT, that after my second time i would have my beige blonde. Then after my second appointment, they tell me i need to come back and i'll have the color i want. I called it BS. My family and friends did too. My hair isn't even as nearly damaged as compared to what woop woop did. My stylist in saugus did something completely different, a less lazier version of woop woop. She did highlights for my full head and put a toner on my hair to get the beige. This result was even closer to what i wanted than both Woop woop's processes!! Then at my second appt at the different salon, she did highlights again but from the opposite direction so that the full head could be blonde and did a balayage at the bottom. As you can see, she did a more complex method. Woop woop spent 3hours each session and the other salon took 5 each session. Not to mention, it was even slightly cheaper. I wouldnt have minded the price at woop woop if it was what I wanted. Sigh, i wanted to make this review a long time ago but always though it was me. But now i have my hair the way i want so it's NOT on me! Woop woop you aren't all that. I also wanted to add that 2 weeks after i dyed my hair from woop woop i dyed it jet black. So both salons had to do this from box dye black! No one had it easier read more

This review is SO overdue, but I wanted to share my experience at Woop Woop salon, specifically with Tiffany. Last month I had a hair DISASTER. For quite some time I've been foiling my own hair, with pretty good results. I've never found a salon in the Boston area I've really loved, and am always very busy, so doing it myself saved time and worked out great...up until this point. In what I can only describe as a moment of temporary insanity, I decided I wanted to go blonde. Like, Gwen Stefani bleach blonde. I planned it out, folded my foils, and got started. After I began my front sections, I thankfully came back to reality and realized I was potentially making a terrible mistake and could ruin the hair I work so hard to keep healthy. Oh yeah..and how the heck was I going to do the back?! I immediately ripped out the foils (which had already started to process), and searched for a salon with good reviews. I found Woop Woop on Yelp...and I had NEVER seen a salon (or any business for that matter!) with such consistent five star reviews. Since it was late at night they were not open, so I sent them a Facebook message describing the brassy disaster of half processed, runny bleached mess I had created. Within minutes I received an extremely sympathetic reply from one of the owners, Tiffany, saying she felt so bad I was going through this, and that she would fit me in first thing in the morning the following day. I was immediately impressed with her devotion to customer service and kindness for taking me so last minute, early the following morning and conversing with me on her personal time. From the moment I entered Woop Woop, I was treated so kindly by Tiffany, Joey (the co-owner), as well as the assistant (I feel terrible, I can't remember her name- I'll get it and update this). They are seriously the dream team. All of them are SO friendly and personable. Tiffany was extremely honest and helpful, giving me multiple options of what she could do to fix it, based on the look I wanted to achieve (and believe me, the color was SO brassy and uneven, she had her work cut out for her!). I was pretty insistent that I wanted to go fully bleach blonde if possible- and that is EXACTLY what she did. It took several hours to fix, but time flew by. There was never a lull in conversation, and Tiffany and Joey are both so interesting, genuinely great people and both myself and my fiancé' who accompanied me loved them. They felt like old friends. As we were walking my fiancé said "Wait- did I just have fun at a salon, waiting for you to get your hair done?!". (That says it all!). He thought they were wonderful, too. The results were incredible to say the least. You would never know that mere hours prior, I walked into the salon looking like a spotted, orange tinted leopard. I walked out with PERFECT bleach blonde hair, without a tint of brass or breakage. Tiffany used Olaplaex (a new system that drastically prevents breakage), and I couldn't believe that there was no damage to my hair. It was hands down the BEST color, cut, and style I have ever received in my life. I am now almost 5 weeks out from my appointment, and have a touch up booked this week which I'm looking forward to. I just cannot say enough positive things about the experience. It could not have been better in any way, shape, or form. Their work and 5 star reviews speak for themselves. This is world class work, at very affordable prices, without a hint of pretentiousness you find at many salons of their caliber. If you're considering booking with WoopWoop I have two words for you: DO IT! There is no way you will regret it, and like me, guarantee that you will have found a salon you'll be loyal to for life. All I can say is I am one happy girl from how beautiful my hair came out today. The customer service at Woop Woop is very welcoming and professional, the stylists are communicative and make you feel comfortable with everything around you from the music, beverages to what they're doing with your hair. I am not usually one to complain about service in any way, I have been in the service industry and something has to be very egregious for me to say something. I am very disappointed with how this business operates however, even though I've never actually had my hair cut here, let me explain. About a year ago I heard through word of mouth that this was an excellent salon and I therefore called to make an appointment. I was told that they "were not currently accepting any new male clients". Undeterred I tried again about a year later after not loving where I was getting my hair cut currently. I called on a Wednesday and they couldn't fit me in until a week later, the following Wednesday, no problem. The Sunday before I was scheduled to go in I got a phone call from them saying the barber who was to cut my hair had had a family emergency of some sort and that they had to cancel my upcoming appointment, again not really a problem; except that they somehow couldn't fit me in until two weeks later. At this point I was completely over this place. Like give me a freaking break, I'm not that particular, I'm not getting highlights and a perm or something, this is a simple mens haircut that should take no longer than 20-30 minutes to complete. And I mentioned that I was a first time customer, is this the kind of message you want to send to a new customer? How many hoops does someone have to go through to actually get their hair cut at this place? I just really don't get it read more

I have thick curly frizzy hair too and not everyone knows how to get it smooth and straight but Joey did. I booked an appointment with Tiffany after I saw how wonderfully she had done on my mother's hair. She honestly blew me out of the water, she's passionate about what she does and it shows through her work! I went in to Woop Woop(!) hair salon yesterday with this awful mop of long bleached hair that snowed blizzards of split ends every time I combed my hair. I had finally had enough and decided to cut off all my long beautiful (and hated) hair for a pixie cut. I'm bold, but I was still TERRIFIED of making that huge of a change. Tiffany was wonderful, and worked hard to get to know me, my hair, my tastes and put me to ease the whole time my heart was threatening to pound right out of my chest. I went to Woop Woop on a Sunday afternoon in need of a new hair cut, but the experience is what made all the difference. I was greeted upon arrival and had my coat hung up for me. They offered me a beverage while I waited for my stylist to finish up with another client. Once my stylist (Joey) was ready, he did a thorough consult on what I wanted to get out of my hair cut. He covered everything from the face of my shape, how much time I spend styling, and overall general expectations I had. After the consult, I got my hair washed and they actually took the time to massage my head. Throughout the hair cut Joey was able to engage in conversation that wasn't typical awkward salon small talk. He was able to read my energy and have wonderful conversation with me. Once he finished cutting and styling my hair I was absolutely blown away. For the first time in 24 years I feel like I had an actual salon experience. Woop woop!!! Finally after 4 years in the Boston area I have found my stylist! I have been to so many salons/ stylists trying to find the "one" paying top dollar for a sh*tty hair cut or terrible color. I am so happy the search is over! I highly recommend this salon to anyone! Joey cut my hair and I didn't even need to tell him what I wanted, he just cut my hair and it is exactly the cut I have been longing for, for the past 4 years.
