This company cares only about making a buck. When it came time to ordering our countertop they only cared about us making our full payment before dealing with us. Once it was time for our installation, we were lead to believe one thing by the person who did the template and received completely different service from the installation team. The lead installer basically told me I was lying and spoke to his team in his native language letting them know that. He called his company who basically told me I was on my own and not their problem with my issues. I had to pay in full before they would start fabricating, so it's my tough luck. The lead installer also complained they had to come from New Jersey and it was inconvenient. Why Lowe's would ever work with this company is beyond me. We bought a countertop through Lowe's for our kitchen, the shape of the countertop was easy enough, a straight line. Marvic was the company making the countertop from Allen + Roth, the subcontractor from Gabryel countertops LLC came and installed the countertop and came with masks, very friendly, and professional. The customer service at Marvic has been good. The only thing I would improve is their customer service to follow up on pending jobs, we had to call to follow up in our installation but otherwise the work was done well. Thanks. read more

Installer was great, however customer service on Warranty Repair linked with Kitchen Magic who used Marvic for our counter top is less than ideal. Within a years time there was a chip by the seam of the counter. January 2022 Kitchen Magic reached out to them in as Marvic is on the warranty. No one got back to us or Kitchen magic for months. Kitchen Magic did the right thing and hired another counter company to fix our counter top and did so in a super timely fashion. Now fast forward to April 2022 I get a call from Marvic wanting to schedule the repair, I said unfortunately waiting 3 months with no response from Marvic, Kitchen magic hired another company to fix the counter. This arrogant man replies oh good then its all fixed with the most vile tone and did not want to hear that we were not pleased they broke warranty with Kitchen Magic. he said Long Island wasn't a priority so when he had the time to come out he would, but could not reach out to kitchen magic or myself to let us know. Instead he ghosted his obligations on the warranty. which is a legal issue waiting to happen, and no doubt Marvic will be dropped by kitchen magic for not abiding by the warranty compliance as I am sure this is not the first occurrence. If this person is the face of Marvic customer service, he surely will put Marvic out of business. Hopefully they treat their installers well, because that was the only good thing about this company. read more

This is the counter sub-sontractor for Home Depot in New Rochelle. I got my countertops from them within NINE DAYS of templating, so that was GREAT! Install day brought 3 gruff guys who had to muscle my u-shaped quartz countertop into place. They used my shims without asking me and there was also lots of wood bits around that weren't there before their install. But it all looked good when they left and I signed off on the paperwork. It wasn't until later when the plumber had to install the fixtures that we saw that the countertop installers moved a spacer piece that messed up the dishwasher install PLUS the sink cutout was TOO far forward. My typically good-natured plumber was cursing them! Next, I realized that the original order included another piece of quartz but that I decided to use butcher block instead. I told the templater when he came to measure and he said that I'd get a refund, no problem. I am owed about $300 and am surprised that I'm having to go after it myself. Marvic has my account "completed." Very unprofessional. It took me almost 6 months to get my refund! read more

Horrible first time experience! Went in and 3 of the 4 staff members weren't wearing masks though I was wearing one. They never even put one on-so disrespectful and irresponsible to their own staff and customers. The secretary also was really rude on the phone and when I arrived. Can't say enough about Marvic Corp. They walked us through every step. When our cabinets came in all wrong (due to cabinet company's error), Marvic held our slabs until new cabinets were ordered (which took months !) They even came back to measure new cabinets without charge and advised on best layout to show off the beautiful veining. My kitchen renovation took forever Bc of faulty cabinets and Marvic was so patient every step of the way . When cabinets were finally finished the week before Christmas ,Marvic incredibly managed to install counters the Friday before Christmas so we could have it for the holidays . These guys came in a gave me half of my order, so I could have a kitchen sink. You have no idea what a big deal that was after being with out one for more than a month. So the only reason we used this company was because it was subcontracted from the business we purchased all our plumbing/bathroom fixtures from. We picked out countertops and that was were the happy moment ended and 4 weeks later the nightmare began. once our bathroom was in the stage to receive the counter tops they arrived, we ordered 2 one for each vanity. Although they were beautiful the holes were cut incorrectly for the faucet, 1 hole instead of 3 and the cutout for the sink too far forward for the plumbing to fit underneath. Now typically we were told they like to come out and custom measure blah blah blah, Since this was new construction on an existing house that would delay our project by weeks we opted not to do that and just give dimensions, so we gave them a pass. Since both countertops were incorrect We had to drive to union and drop them off with the faucet for them to redo. I should add they did charge us an additional 300 for the remake. Round 2 counter tops arrive 1 is perfect! the other is still incorrect! how does that happen? Now the phone calls back and forth are getting ridiculous, and basically after stating they can come pick up there crappy (they are beautiful not crappy but not worth the aggravation) countertops and the charges will be refuted on my credit card. Now they want to come and check it in the space which is what we had suggested and were told they don't do that. So the guy comes out and is dealing with our contractor who explains it and the guy admits to our contractor they did make a mistake and they are wrong but if they cut this piece and do this is may work. since we did not want to wait an additional week for a new countertop we said fine, its not noticeable at all and still looks great. They do not get any stars for trying to fix what they got wrong in the first place, and arguing with us. Now I did notice that this company does look at all their reviews and try's to explain their way out of everything instead of just saying were sorry your experience was less then pleasant and we will take this misstep to make our company better. That would be the appropriate thing to do, I'm not one of those people who is interested in excuses. I paid for a service until you make good on the service you better be the nicest person on the planet. There Is nothing worse then dealing with people who hate their job and make it clear at every opportunity. The next time I need countertops and am purchasing from a vendor I will make sure this is not the company they use. I have had SUCH a horrible experience with Marvic countertops (by way of Ikea) I actually went out of my way to ADD this business to Yelp (it did not have a profile yet). What a joke; their entire staff is disorganized, incompetent and entirely unavailable. I have often called trying to get a hold of someone to speak with and their main line is busy for HOURS. They "lost" my countertops for over 1 month at one of their warehouses... Who loses a countertop! They don't call when they say they will and Ikea of ALL companies is actually light years ahead in customer service and project management -- having to REFAX and email my order to Marvic twice because Marvic claimed never to have received the "ok" to fabricate the counters. They have set my home building project back at least two months... If you can avoid them, by all means DO! read more

Marvic lost our Corian countertop and refused to replace it unless we paid them more money! What??!? How can you lose a countertop???!? And then, on top of that, try to make your customer pay for your mistake??!? We had Marvic pick up one of our Corian kitchen countertops to modify it to match some renovation work we were undertaking. The renovation work was taking longer than expected and we made sure to keep Marvic informed of the delays and we were always told it was not an issue, that we can just call them once we were ready for the reinstall. When we did, they could not locate our countertop and worst of all, not only wanted us to pay them more money to replace it but also had a belligerent attitude about it! If anyone is justified in having a belligerent attitude in this situation, it would be my wife and me towards them! Do not give these people your business! They are untrustworthy and clearly have operational problems if they are losing countertops on people! read more

I had a horrible experience with Marvic through IKEA also. First, I had to beg them to not put 2 extra seams in my countertop. I was replacing an old countertop with this one and I knew they could get it up the stairs with no problem. Finally, I spoke to production manager who tells me "I have men and materials to worry about here." Excuse me? Am I not paying a small fortune for this quartz countertop? Do you not have a customer to consider? Finally he agreed to do what I wanted. Or, so I thought. The installers showed up with an extra backsplash that I never ordered, the backsplash I did order came 18 inches too long. And no one told me it was going to be 1.5 inches deep. That's not the usual depth for a backsplash, that's the thickness of the countertop! Then they chipped my wooden floor saddle when they moved the stove, and best of all, it turns out they spilled water into my cabinet when drilling the hole for the faucet and didn't tell me. It warped my new cabinet. Ikea should find another vendor to connect their customers with. Oh, and the crew hands you a quality survey questionnaire about their work and they already have it filled out saying they did a great job. What are you going to say when they hand it to you to sign? The company president is going to be getting a letter from me for sure! read more

We were referred to this business and they were absolutely horrible - first the guy walked in and did not introduce himself - then he said he could not do the job because the cabinet was uneven. And then he said he could not put the granite on our island. This is without explanation / we had to question him over and over - and I had to ask if we can use brackets ? They said we would have to put the brackets on the island! He did not seem knowledgeable. Didn't seem like he wanted to do the work from the start. He went outside and called another employee and he said the same - anyway We did not feel comfortable giving them our hard earned money after that. So we went elsewhere. thanks to them I have no kitchen for another few weeks. I do not recommend them. (I spoke with 2 other company's about the brackets and they said it's the stone workers that would handle that part of the job, not the homeowner!) read more

If there was an option for zero stars, I would give them 0. This company is rude, nasty employees, and disrespectful. They made a mistake by cutting two pieces of my countertop 3" too short on both sides. I have a 30" (which is a standard stove size) stove. I had two 3" filler plates installed on my lower cabinets because it was a 36" opening. The filler plates were to make that 36" into a 30" opening. Well Marvic cut the left and right pieces to the size of the actual cabinet, which is 3" shorter than they should have made. They should have cut the two pieces to extend to the two filler plates. So now i have a 30" stove sitting in a 36" opening. I called to have them come fix it, they want an extra $1,200 for them to come out, take to two off, re-template, and re-install. (These pieces are only 33" long by 24" deep). I asked for them to just cut new pieces and I'll do the removal and install, and they gave me attitude and said no. Worst company EVER read more

horrible! i have been 1 month without countertops. the templater brought fancy equipment to precisely measure and still the measurements are wrong! i approved 2 seams in a particular location. a few days before install, i receie an update that one of my seams is being moved to an odd location or if i want the seam in the approved location, i would need to pay an additonal $980. today, the installers finally come after several phone calls to marvic and the measurements for the countertops are inaccurate resulting in different overhang depths. they claim that the delays in accuracies are due to the storm we had last week, however ive had to call multiple times priorto last week's storm. stay away! read more

Just finished an installation for my countertop. Looks pretty good. No major gaps. I was worried about that from other reviews. I had an undermount sink that had to be attached with wood braces because there was no room for the brackets. That part didn't look very professsional, but the only time anyone will see it is when we are getting the dishwasher detergent. They took the time to explain everything and it made sense. read more

They were amazing in the way they walked me through each step of the process, and were patient and easy to work with. I spoke with Dimetri, and he was very patient and answered all of our questions very professionally. Do nbot use Home Depot for counter tops because they use Marvic as their subs. My counter top was delivered leaving a 1/2 gap in the back splash. This space, as promised by home depot salesman and the template person would be filled in. The day of install, i mentioned it and they looked at me in amazement. after questioning them, they said they would come back for a $450 fill to fill in the space. I would have respected them if they just told me it would cost 450, which to me is the same thing as saying NO we don't want to do it. . BTY their customer service has a lot be be desired. I had been having a relatively decent experience with Marvic until my phone call today with the man in charge of installations. After calling on three separate days, and being directed to the same person's voicemail each time, I finally received a call back. I explained that I had called a few times and wanted to know when the earliest date to get my countertops installed could be and he stated Tuesday. I explained that I had hoped to get them in earlier since I am moving in and the Marvic employee became incredibly defensive, yelling at me about how he has no control over when Ikea sends in the order and he cannot make the counters be created faster. He then mentioned about 4 times that there had been a holiday weekend which delayed things. I calmly explained that I could understand the delay, but would have appreciated notification. I then received a rude explanation about how he does not have time to call people to tell them when their counters will be done (ummm...isn't that your job?). Needless to say, terrible terrible customer service. The secretary has been 100 times more pleasant and they should consider not allowing their other employess to converse with customers. writing this a year later from the first review and am experiencing the exact same scenario. Bought the countertop through Ikea and have been trying to get through to Marvic to get a date for when they will install my counter, their phone is either busy or getting a message that the number is disconnected. When I did leave a voicemail since no one ever seems to pick up the phone takes forever to get a return call. Perhaps they are too busy doing a great job for so many other people !! Buyer beware, give up the 15 - 30 minutes of convenience by purchasing the countertop with the cabinets at Ikea (Paramus, NJ) and buy a countertop from a reputable company. The time I thought I was saving has been completely lost and then some with simply trying to get a hold of someone to get an install date (which I still haven't gotten). read more
