BEWARE!!! We signed a written quote for driveway drainage…read morerepairs and gravel for $49k with the owner of Wright Paving. The owner and his employees came out no fewer than a dozen times to measure and discuss the erosion issues. We were told this was being quoted "way on the high side " for the work that was necessary to fix our problems. When the job was completed we were told that the scales were broken so the amount of gravel we paid for was an estimate. The job was estimated to take 2 days, however he only allowed 2 gravel trucks to run for this job so it took almost 5 days. We have photos of the employees sleeping on their equipment while waiting on loads of gravel. The owner presented us with a bill of $62,321 which was 28% higher than the quote we were told he was CERTAIN it wouldn't cost. When questioned about his years of experience and how he could have so grossly miscalculated the job we were cussed out and accused of being unable to satisfy. Who in the world wouldn't have been shocked at the outrageous amount the final invoice was over the quote. We had a guarantee that there would be someone coming out on a regular basis to be certain that the issues were solved and we never saw anyone from Wright Paving again once the check was deposited. We are right back in the exact same place we were 9 months ago with $63k worth of gravel washing away and having to hire someone to come and make the necessary corrections , which are significant in order to stop the erosion. Mr. Tommy Wright told us he had his best drainage employee on this job when in fact he didn't even work for WPC. We have since had 2 more professionals look at the job Wright Paving did and were told they did nothing that would have changed the drainage problems, they simply overcharged us for re/graveling the drive. We have given Wright Paving the opportunity to make this right and compensate us for the costs of the work that is being done to get this job done professionally and correctly. Mr. Wright came to the property on 4/5/2023 and saw the work being done and made the statement "This is exactly what needs to be done ". He witnessed the same erosion problems we had when he came to bid the job and simply stayed " we were impossible to satisfy and he had done far more than we were billed for.
