From high end custom designers to printable templates, the industry is full of options, however I struggled to find anything that felt just right. ...And then I came across a photo of a handmade paper invitation suite from Shasta Bell, and knew that this was what I was looking for. The suite that Shasta delivered was beyond my expectations - I had a hard time parting with them in the mail, but loved hearing the delighted remarks from my guests as they received them. I ended up asking Shasta to create our programs, menus and place cards in addition to providing the ribbon for the bridal / bridesmaid bouquets. Her work on the invitations was flawless and her calligraphy is stunning, and I'm excited for the other products to arrive. I didn't realize that the paper goods could be such an important design element in our wedding day, but I'm so glad that they have become one.

Shasta's products are absolutely stunning- our guests were so impressed. From the moment they received our invitations, they knew our wedding was going to be something special and memorable. Shasta was wonderful to work with. Responsive, talented, a keen attention to detail, always pleasant to talk to...it was such a relief knowing we could depend on her to deliver an amazing product during the stressful wedding planning process. I wouldn't recommend anyone else and I would work with Shasta again in a second on future events. Shasta is creative and loves a good project- she will listen to all your ideas and work with you to create something truly special and within your budget. I really cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Shasta- she's simply the best!

We used Paper Rock Scissor for all our wedding stationary needs (Save the Dates, Invites, and day…read moreof stationary), and we can't recommend them enough! Liz and Maggie were ultra-responsive, very easy to work with, and we were incredibly happy with the final results! They were quick to respond to feedback, and the final designs they created were stunning. They even helped connect us with a local artist to create a custom monogram for our wedding, and then used elements of that monogram throughout our stationary to really make the final items stand out and feel unique. I'd highly recommend Paper Rock Scissor if you're considering a high-end stationary vendor for your wedding, or any other important purpose. We have no regrets at all with the choice we made.

I oddly cared a lot about the stationary for our wedding (yet had no idea what I wanted, really), so asking a complete stranger to create something awesome for us was a bit of a leap of faith. However, I had a great feeling about the entire staff, and couldn't have made a better choice. They were so responsive and helpful and created a stunning final product that got us tons of props from our guests. We got married in Mexico, and the theme completely captured our theme, even though I only had a few incoherent thoughts to provide them about the "theme" of the wedding (Frida Kahlo, surfing, Mexico). My now husband also provided some incoherent thoughts (thick paper, no bows), and they managed to please both of us. Working with PRS was the highlight of our wedding planning experience, and I'd recommend them to anyone.

That is to say, I should've brought my own small containers and cash. There were a few things I might've taken home with me if I'd had a good way to hold them and pay for them. (It's a $1 fee for credit/debit under $10 purchase, which... getting above $10 here is actually something that would take genuine effort, lol.) While I was there on a Thursday afternoon, it was quite bustling with people scrounging about. I overheard a lot of chatter from those who are regulars who come in once a week to see what's new to choose from. My guess is there's likely a lot of turnover in what's available, since it all comes from donations. I could probably stand to bring them some stuff I have that's been lying around and not being used. This is not a large shop, but it's packed with all sorts of stuff. Honestly, you kind of just have to go there to experience it. But I tried to take some photos of the kind of stuff you MIGHT see there to give you an idea. For example, I certainly wasn't expecting to see a 55 gallon drum of tennis balls or bottle caps. But there they were! You'll need to parallel park on the street as there is not a lot that I saw, but the good news is that parking seemed to be ample as it's a mostly residential area. They do have a bathroom for customers if you need.
